Eye Shadow -Everyday Minerals - Eyeshadows All
rated 2 of 5

Sorry to be the spoiler here, but I really can't see the hype behind these shadows. First, I have blue eyes, NW20, blond. I ordered three shadows Exhale, Diary and Good China. Diary and Good China are nice colours, but Diary streaks a lot and disappears within an hour. Good China also has not lasting power and doesn't do anything for my eyes. Now the biggest disappointment - Exhale. Well, well, well, it's supposed to be smokey brown, bought it for eye lining and as brow filler. Uuuhhh, it has no smokiness whatsoever, instead it has reddish tone and when I put it on I look like a red-eyed white rabbit. It smudged terribly and after an hour around my eyes was orangey-reddish hue. Gosh, I almost fell down when I saw myself from the mirror, for others I looked like I had a liver disease or smth. So, no, I won't be purchasing EM eye shadows ever again, instead I'll try Alima shadows. Why I gave 2 lippies instead of 1? Because of the low price.

Lotions/ Creams -Alba Botanica - Original Body Lotion
rated 3 of 5
carinasfashion 2/17/2007 1:04:00 PM

I bought it based on the reviews here. I have very dry skin, yet I don't like too oily lotions so I thought this would be the best choice for me. I love the fact that it's on a natural side, no mineral oil and most important not tested on animals, but it really doesn't moisturize that well. I apply it generously but after 5 minutes my skin still feels dry. And I also can't use the product on my chest area as it makes me break out. So I guess I'll purchase next time "for extra dry skin" formula from Alba instead of "original" and hope I'll have better luck with it.

Powder -Alima - Satin Matte Mineral Foundation
rated 5 of 5
carinasfashion 4/15/2006 4:47:00 PM

YES YES YES! at last, after years of searching and a lot of $$$ spent, I've finally found it. This is my HG foundation. I've tried so many department and drugstore brands and mineral brands (Jane Iredale, BE, Everyday Minerals, PF etc.) that I was losing hope. But thanx to a MUAer who recommended it, I tried it and this is hands down the best. It's very hard to add anything to all previous reviews, I just have to agree with all of them. If I just could give it 10 lippies!

Masks -Skinceuticals - SkinCeuticals - Clarifying Clay Mask
rated 4 of 5
carinasfashion 4/8/2006 7:38:00 PM

So far the best clay mask I've tried. it does sting when you put it on(due to AHAs in it)and leaves your skin slightly dry, but the results are great, wouldn't see my pores with a magnifier and trust me, my pores are big. I am not convinced in it's high price tag though $33, I will try Burt's Bees Clay Mask to compare and update later.

Scrubs -Bioelements - Pumice Peel
rated 5 of 5
carinasfashion 4/8/2006 7:35:00 PM

This is the only product from Bioelements I actually love. It's the best microdermabrasion I've tried (and I've tried many). I would recommend PP to anybody who has problems with discolorations, acne and dullness. I use it 2-3 times a week and I have wonderful results. Be careful, if you have sensitive skin though. I would definitely repurchase and recommend this product.

Moisturizers -Bioelements - Beyond Hydration
rated 2 of 5
carinasfashion 4/8/2006 7:31:00 PM

This is another disappontment for me from Bioelements. I have acne prone skin and I needed something to hydrate and moisturize at the same time not to clog my pores. My skin feels actually tight after applying this, no hydration whatsoever. I find it useless product and unreasonably expensive. I find most of the products from Bioelements I tried to be disappointment except for one - Pumice Peel, this is the HG of microdermabrasion for me.

Cleansers -Bioelements - Decongestant Cleanser
rated 1 of 5
carinasfashion 4/8/2006 7:26:00 PM

Had high hopes for this cleanser. However, it turned out to be a big disappointment. I bought it on the great reviews here, since I am fighting acne and nothing seems to help, I hoped this would work for me as it worked for others. Well, first of all nothing and I mean nothing has ever made my skin so dry, my sking was dripping. My DH saw me coming out of the bathroom right after cleansing without moisturizing and was terrified about the condition of my skin. I gave it a try for a week or so and enough was enough to the garbage it went. It didn't do anything for my acne either. Way too harsh, wouldn't recommend to anybody. For this price can get much better cleanser and I would add ,that my old Clearasil cleanser didn't dry my skin that much and took better care of my acne for $7 versus Bioelements $24. Wouldn't repurchase.

Fragrances -Versace - Blonde
rated 4 of 5

This was a gift from my exbf, so I guess I had many memories attached to this fragrance. I don't use it often I get older I find it more suitable for younger women (it's just me, I feel too old for Blonde). I've got many compliments on this and overall it is a sexy smell. Whoever likes tuberose, would probably like Blonde. Extra points for the bottle.

Fragrances -Estee Lauder - Tuscany Per Donna
rated 5 of 5
carinasfashion 4/8/2006 7:11:00 PM

I was first introduced to Tuscany when I was 18 (12 years ago), I've been using it eversince on and off. One of the most classical fragrances I've owned. It's great in autumn and winter, very soft, woody, sexy perfum. After all these years I suddenly got fed up with it, but for my luck my mother adores it, so I'll give it to her, and who knows maybe someday I'll purchase it again. Timeless classic.

Fragrances -Lulu beauty - Lulu Guinness EDP
rated 5 of 5
carinasfashion 4/8/2006 7:08:00 PM

This is my everyday fragrance. My DH loves and so do I, it's very feminine and flowery perfum. Would recommend it for spring and daytime. And I usually find it in TJ Maxx for $20, so why not to have always one bottle on hand.

Fragrances -Cartier - Eau Legere
rated 5 of 5
carinasfashion 4/8/2006 7:05:00 PM

Love, love, love it! What a perfect spring time fragrance. It's strong, doesn't fade. Love the bottle so chic, and the parfum itself is so classy. It's a little pricey $75, but I got full size tester from online for half the price. Like one previous reviewer, I was turned off in the beginning, it really did smell like a soap, but give it 30 minutes and it changes to classy, sexy, expensive fragrance.

Moisturizers -Weleda - Skin Food
rated 4 of 5
carinasfashion 3/14/2006 2:42:00 PM

This is a good product, smells good and is a good moisturizer. I can understand why it's so popular. I don't use it on my face , only hands and feet. Eventhough it is another great quality product from Weleda, in the future I prefer Weleda's Calendula Baby Cream over this. Better price and better cream IMO.

Lotions/ Creams -Weleda - Calendula Baby Lotion
rated 3 of 5
carinasfashion 3/14/2006 2:38:00 PM

I have used before Weleda Calendula Baby Cream and I absolutely love it. I've used it on my hands, legs and even undereye. Beautiful. The lotion though was a disappointment. It was so runny and didn't seem to moisturize that well, I used it on my legs first and after few days I developed some pumps. Then I used it on my chest and back, same thing I broke out. Too bad, this is the only Weleda product I've used which doesn't get 5 lippies from me and I wouldn't repurchase.

Skincare - Body -Weleda - Birch Cellulite Oil
rated 5 of 5
carinasfashion 3/14/2006 2:34:00 PM

Wow, Wow, Wow. I'm a veteran anti-cellulite products user, tried everything from Gatineau to Avon, but this is another league. I've been using this for 2 months now and my skin on my thighs is so soft and subtle. I don't think that I've lost inches from my thighs or got rid of the cellulite. But it sure feels so much softer, smoother and looks so much better too. The scent is heavenly and oil is so very moisturizing. I don't think I'll be another day in my life without it! :D
