I must admit that I'm very impressed with this entire line of lipsticks from Rimmel. I got 3 of the colors but out of all of them my favorite is this beautiful orange-coral. It's moist, pigmented, the packaging is slick and you can either wear it very boldly or lighter on top of a chapstick or something like that. It's been in my purse non-stop since I got it a week ago and it just adds the perfect summer lip look to my face. I just love it, for $5, you can't beat it.
So I gave in to the hype and after 2 years of using up all the other foundations I had accumulated, I decided to give NARS sheer glow a try. Why did I wait this long? I can see now why so many sing it's praise. First off, I have combination skin, I do have hormonal breakouts but nothing major. The way I use this product is I put a bit, about the size of a dime in the back of my hand and I mix it with some MAC's strobe cream and then apply it to my face and blend with my beauty blender. It's amazing how long this lasts on me and what a coverage it has! I have been using it non-stop everyday for the past month and have not suffered breakouts at all. I live in Florida and it's blindingly hot here and humid and this foundation has lasted without melting off my face. Brilliant, found a new HG. For reference, I'm NW25 and I use NARS Barcelona. The only complaint I have is this stupid bottle, I wish it was either a squeeze bottle or you could buy the pump for it in Sephora, I was told in Sephora that this can only be bought online.
At first I didn't realize that these had minimal color and I was disappointed when I went home with the color 'Nourishing Nude' and found it so sheer. However, after using it on top of my favorite mauve lip liner the color really shines and it's very moisturizing. I love it!
I'm not usually a fan of pre-made palettes. I prefer either buying an empty MAC, Stila or MUFE palette and making my own. I was, however, surprised at how much I ended up liking this. I got it as a gift and ignored it for a few months and then one day I decided to give it a try and I have fallen in love with nearly all the colors in this palette. I use them all with the exception of the hotpink. The shadows work very well together and you can easily pull off at least 6 looks from it from the very natural to a super sexy smoky eye. I also love that it comes with Sun Bunny, my favorite Too Faced bronzer and I can always use Pink Leopard for a blush so it makes it perfect for traveling.
Cleansers -Neutrogena - Naturals Cleanser + Makeup Remover

I will state, in short, that this is brilliant. Note: I do not have sensitive skin. I have normal combination skin. Until now, I had to do the entire 'remove eye makeup' first routine and then cleanse. Not anymore; this product came highly recommended from a friend and this stuff seriously work. It removes all the bits of mascara, eyeliner and bronzer from my face. It smells great, does not irritate. I've only been using it for a week but I have never been this enchanted with a cleanser.
Honestly, I had completely forgotten about this eyeshadow, it just got lost in my purple palette and this week I rediscovered it and it's quickly become the color I've gone for the past few days. It's very pigmented and it's got the most lovely golden sparkles that are not over the top and when blended it's quite work-appropriate. I just dipped my 217 brush and applied it in circular motions on the corner of the crease, working it inwards. For a lovely girly look add All that Glitters in the inside of the lid and blend the two together.
I have to say, that out of all the mint masks I've tried (and I'm in my second tube of Mint Julep) this is my overall favorite. There's something in the way it smells and the way it continues the tingly-mint feeling after it's dry that I feel it's really working. I mask regularly and I try to do this one twice a week, it doesn't dry me out at all and my skin feels super refreshed after using it. If you can afford it, buy yourself a small tube, see if it works well on your face.
As a fan of all Queen Helene products I was surprised when I realized that I had not tried this one so I bought it, it was also on sale for less than $5 and I will agree that it burns like a mother when you put it on but it does leave a lovely feeling of refreshed skin. I usually do masks twice a week, I think I'm going to do this one in the middle of the week and the Mint Julep in the weekends for a nice balance.
With all the Teal nails covering the magazines this season I went through my stash to find a similar color and I had completely forgotten about Flyin' High which came out with I believe it was the 2010 China Glaze Spring collection. This color applies on smooth and it's a perfect 2-coater. It satisfied my sudden need for teal on my nails and as with all of China Glaze's polishes they last for a long time with the proper top coat.
I usually find a 'staple' color for each season and this one is the one for this Spring/Summer. I spotted it on a nail blog and instantly went out to buy it just because I've been searching for the perfect Summer coral and this one doesn't disappoint. It is a 2-coater but not thin coats, just a nice even coat will do the trick. As with all Butter polishes, the chipping is minimal if you use the right top coat, and it looks stunning against my olive skin. My friend also got it and she's very light skinned and it looked so pretty on her toes. I wore it to an art festival yesterday and I literally got stopped 3 times by people wanting to know my nail color. Brilliant.
I've bought this shadow now 3 times, I always hit pan on it. It's the perfect golden daily wear color, IMO. I'm NW25, latin complexion and all I go is apply this all over the lid, blend out and that's it. It's a great Summer look, looks great at night and if I want to smoke it out just add some dark brown to the crease and you've got a nice golden smoky eye. It's creamy and just overall brilliant.
To me, L'oreal has some of the best mascaras out there. This, however, is not one of them. This fails for me in a few areas: - the brush is messy, long and an odd shape that will not work universally for all eyes. Therefore you end up with smudging and product on your lid. - the formula is mediocre, at best, I find better formula in the Jordana volume mascara and it's 1/3 the price - it dries up really quickly for me. Now, I always have about 8-10 mascaras in rotation as it's my favorite makeup product and still, not using it daily, this mascara dried out 2xs faster than my Maybelline Falsies. I was very disappointed.
Mascara -Maybelline - Illegal Lengths Mascara (2011)

I've been testing this mascara now for 2 weeks and I can say I will never buy it again. This attempts to do what my Telescopic (HG for length) does and it fails miserably. The brush is bulky, long and awkward, the formula is thin and the product gets on my lids whereas none of my other mascaras do. If you have a small eyes or small lids stay away from this, it'll be a mess.
I seldom splurge on items but this one I will do it in a heartbeat. I have combination skin and I get very oily around my cheeks. I place half a pea-sized drop of this on my cheeks before applying any makeup and smooth it out well. This stuff certainly does what it says it'll do. It controls the oils and smooths out my skin. I ended up getting a small sample size tube and it lasted me nearly a year, so I just bought the full sized one and I fully expect it to last me years. Great stuff.
I'm in my second tube of this stuff, it's just about the best 'green' mask out there, using it once a week, a little goes a long way and it just tightens your skin and rejuvenates it. It really helps dry out pimples and I sometimes just do spot treatments on acne and it helps dry them out. When I wash it off my skin just feel like it's had a good night sleep.
