Mascara -Revlon - Luxurious Lengths - Blackest Black
becky5300 11/27/2006 4:01:00 AM
I got this free with a purchase and i really hate it. i love revlon's foundation products, but this is really awful. it's below-average in terms of effect, i use lancome mascara, but even maybellene is way better than this, and the worst part is that it smudges really easily, so only a couple of hours after wearing this i get little mascara marks on my upper eyelid, which look horrible. you'd expect that kind of fault in a mascara from 20 years ago, but not now!

Treatments -Shiseido - Pureness Blemish Clearing Gel
becky5300 11/27/2006 3:43:00 AM
This stuff is wonderful. i've been using Clearasil Ultra since high school (i'm 22 now) but i'm on my 2nd tube of this and i'm in love. firstly, being clear and of a thin consistency it's great because i can apply it twice a day to budding pimples, even though i wear makeup, with the Clearsil, because it's white, i could only use it at night. and i've find that it is actually very effective, and if i apply it to deveoping pimples they normally don't fully form, and when i do get the occasional pimple that does develop, this clears it up very effectively. it's fairly expensive for a pimple treatment, but it lasts a while, and for a product that works as effecively as this one, i am more than willing to shell out the AU$37.

Moisturizers -L'Occitane - Honey Face Cream [DISCONTINUED]
becky5300 11/27/2006 3:36:00 AM
I don't know for sure, it might be a co-incidence because i only use this once a day at night and i'm only about 5/6 of the way through my first jar, but i have definitely noticed that since using this moisturiser my skin has been looking a lot better than it used to. i'm a serial foundation-wearer because my skin was always very uneven, but lately i have noticed that it doesn't look as bad as it used to. i still use foundation, but i'm much more comfortable without it and happy with my make-up free skin, so i guess that means this moisturiser must be doing something right! people complain that it is expensive, and i guess it would be if you use it twice a day, but it lasts for ages if you just use it at night (which i do because i want a daytime one with SPF30+) and at around AU$40 it's not as expensive as a lot of high-quality face moisturisers

Moisturizers -Ultraceuticals - Antioxidant Daily Moisturiser with SPF 30+
becky5300 11/27/2006 3:29:00 AM
I was actually pretty disappointed with this product, I thought a moisturiser with antioxidents and 30+ sunscreen would be perfect, but even though i have combination skin, i don't find it moisturising enough at all, so i have to use a face moisturiser underneath, which means this is really just acting as an expensive sunscreen, and there are cheaper, yet high quality ones of those on the market. once this runs out i will try the Olay moisturiser with SPF30+

Styling Products -Matrix - Amplify Volumizing System Spray-Gel
becky5300 11/27/2006 3:25:00 AM
This is definitely one of my favourite all-time hair products. i have longish fine straight hair, which needs all the volume it can get, and this stuff works perfectly. i've tried volumising products from GHD, Redken, Pantene etc, and none of them have even come close to this. as long as you blow-dry after using it, you'll get lovely, thick-feeling and looking hair. and the price is fine because it lasts for ages.

Brows -Lancome - Modele Sourcils

i actually really like this brow gel. i have dark brows so i use the clear version and it does everything it should as a brow gel. i purchase mine on ebay though, because i wouldn't want to pay the full price for it.

Moisturizers -Shiseido - The Skincare Night Essential Moisturizer Light
becky5300 7/26/2006
First off, i really like the packaging, the glass bottle is really pretty and easy to use. the price is pretty good for the amount too. i won't repurchase though, just because the light consistency is just too thin for a night cream and it does sort of feel like i'm applying moisturiser to wet skin (when my skin is actually dry) so it feels like it isn't being absorbed at all, which isn't great. it lasts quite a while though, which is a positive

Toners -Shiseido - Pureness Balancing Softener alcohol-free
becky5300 7/25/2006 11:57:00 PM
I tried a sample of this and it lasted about 3 weeks and i really liked it. i love the glass bottle and it's great that it only disperses a little bit of toner at a time, so you don't waste any. in terms of being a toner i found it quite good, it was gentle, but still felt like it was doing a good job, and it did make my face feel slightly softer. i would buy this if it wasn't so expensive, but then again, when my current toner has run out i will probably look into buying a bottle of this. i'm sure it would be worth it seeing as it should last me a while.

Cleansers -Shiseido - Benefiance Creamy Cleansing Foam
becky5300 7/25/2006 11:53:00 PM
This is a good cleanser, you don't have to use much and it leaves my skin soft and clean-feeling, but i just can't keep spending so much money on a cleanser when there are other much cheaper and just as good cleansers out there. i'd rather spend money on moisturisers and make-up than a cleanser like this. there is only so much a cleanser can do. so i guess if i was made of money i'd repurchase, because it is a lovely cleanser. it does irritate my eyes a bit though, and doesn't remove waterproof mascara, which is quite annoying

Masks -Clarins - Thirst Quenching Hydra - Balance Mask
becky5300 7/25/2006 11:42:00 PM
Hated this mask. i've come to the conclusion that after buying a whole lot of clarins skin-care products at once and being happy with none of them, that Clarins is an entirely overrated brand. this mask did absolutely nothing for my skin, it smells like sunscreen and just seems like a massive waste of time and money. there are far cheaper and more effective masks out there

Treatments -Clarins - Beauty Flash Balm
becky5300 7/25/2006 11:40:00 PM
I was really diappointed with this product. i thought i'd try it out because it's always at the top of the "beauty 'it' lists" in magazines and is a best seller in a lot of cosmetic stores, and it gets some great reviews here, but after using it i think it's totally overrated. it did nothing for my skin, it just seems to water-down my liquid foundation, which isn't exactly what i would pay AUS$60 or so for. it is a nice moisturiser though, and if i ever get small very dry patches it works well to get rid of them instantly, but i certainly don't get the "magical glow" that everyone seems to think this product gives. maybe i'm just unlucky...

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup with SoftFlex SPF 6 for Combination/Oily Skin
becky5300 5/24/2006 7:29:00 PM
Wow i love this foundation sooo much, it's a miracle worker! i've tried heaps of different brands, from other Revlon foundations to Maybellene, clinique, estee lauder, l'oreal, and none of them have given me the beautiful coverage and finish that this one does. i don't have crap skin, but it's a little uneven and i have maybe one pimple at any one time and it can get quite shiney sometimes, but this makes my skin look polished and even and dewy, not shiney. very impressed, and would highly reccommend

Treatments -Terax - Life Drops
becky5300 5/24/2006 7:05:00 PM
I've got to say i was sooo diappointed with this product, i thought being Terax and super-expensive that it would be quite a good leave-in conditioner, but it pretty much sucks. it's really thin and just does absolutely nothing for my hair which is below-shoulder length, straight and fine with quite dry ends. it smells pretty awful (a bit of a theme with Terax products, except the Crema Treatment) and i hate the packaging - ugly and industrial looking and the white gets discoloured when left around other cosmetics etc. all in all this is an over-priced useless product that shouldn't be sold at all

Pressed Powders -Clinique - Stay-Matte Sheer Pressed Powder
becky5300 5/22/2006 2:53:00 AM
I love this product so much, it is so light and sheer, it gives me a beautiful matte appearance but doesn't look cakey or heavy at all. i buy it brand new on Ebay, which means i get it quite cheaply and it lasts for ages aswell. my HC mattifying product
