Misc Beauty Tools -Clarisonic - Mia
auburn420 4/4/2010 7:14:00 PM
After considering the regular size vs the Mia. I decided I didn't really need several speeds and would rarely, if ever, use it on my body. I've used this for a little over a month now and I can't say I've seen any miracles. My skin is a little clearer (I am prone to redness) and I can definitely see that it's cleaner. Because of the redness I only use it at night. At this point, I really have no idea if it was worth the price, but I do like how clean and smooth my face feels after using the Mia and I like how well my products go on after using it. It also cut down on winter flakiness. I will definitely keep up with using this and buying new brush heads as needed.

Liquid -Revlon - PhotoReady Makeup
auburn420 4/4/2010 7:07:00 PM
After seeing advertisements for this foundation I couldn't wait to try it. I've been using it for several months now and like it fairly well. At first I wasn't sure about it because it seemed thin and I get oilier wearing this formula than the colorstay. But after a few weeks I got used to the consistency and learned to layer it for varying coverage. I'll probably go back to colorstay, but for someone who just wants a soft finish and doesn't have much to cover, I think this foundation would be a great fit.

Moisturizers -Cerave - Moisturizing Lotion
auburn420 4/4/2010 7:03:00 PM
For years I've been looking for something to heal with skin redness. My doctor diagnosed rosacea, but because I don't have the pustules, he didn't have any prescription options for me. I do think the CeraVe has helped. It feels so nice going on and absorbs easily. Because I do have oily/dry skin, it moisturizes without making me greasy. I also use a OTC retinol for anti-aging so I'm not looking for that from a basic moisturizer.

Polishes -Sally Hansen - Complete Salon Manicure Nail Polish
auburn420 4/4/2010 6:57:00 PM
The polish had no staying power and had to be touched up every day. I even used a separate top coat (something I'm usually really lazy about). I do love the color selection. I bought the pale, almost white lavender "Lavender Cloud" and it was a really fun color. I did want to purchase "Commander in Chic" as well, but I'm glad I didn't. Hopefully I can find that great color in a better formula.

Treatments -Desert Essence - Dessert Essence Blemish Touch Stick

This really helps mild my blemishes overnight. The rollerball may not be the most sanitary application method by it sure is handy. Works great on bug bites, too.

Cleansers -Aura Cacia - Grapeseed Oil
auburn420 6/18/2009 12:03:00 AM
I use this as a n occasional boost when my skin is feeling dull. I apply it before I go to bed (after serum and eye cream). It still amazes me that using an oil on my face makes my skin less oily, but my skin always feels and looks better after using it. I will try the tips here and use it for a pre-cleanser.

Treatments -Cosmedicine - MegaDose Skin Fortifying Serum
auburn420 6/17/2009 11:59:00 PM
I got this as part of the the oily/combo skin set. It's a very nice serum, but I don't feel it has anything on Olay's regenerist serum and costs 4 times as much.

Moisturizers -Cosmedicine - Medi-Matte Oil Control Lotion

Hated it. Didn't do anything for controlling shine and made my foundation hard to apply. Definitely won't repurchase.

Scrubs -Cosmedicine - Medi-morphosis Self Adjusting Exfoliator
auburn420 6/17/2009 11:55:00 PM
This is a very nice exfoliating product, It does not irritate my skin at all. However, I find Cosmedicine to be overpriced for what it really delivers. I suppose if I could stretch this out for a long time it would be worth it, but I don't think it's going to be one of my regular purchases.

Cleansers -Cosmedicine - Healthy Cleanse Foaming Cleanser and Toner In One
auburn420 6/17/2009 11:52:00 PM
I got this based on a recommendation from a Sephora rep for my facial redness. It cleanses well and removes all makeup but I don't know that it's anything that special. I don't think I will be buying this product again.

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup - Ivory
auburn420 4/15/2009 5:33:00 PM
With reviews on MAU saying that this foundation was not as good as the original, I kept avoiding the new formula. I'm glad I finally got a bottle. It covers my redness without looking cakey or fake, doesn't turn orange on my fair skin, and really lasts. Colorstay foundation is a winner in my book!

Liquid -Maybelline - Mineral Power Natural Perfecting Foundation ] ] [DISCONTINUED]
auburn420 4/15/2009 5:29:00 PM
I really wanted to like this makeup as I saw it mentioned in a few magazines with great compliments. However, it feels weird going on (slimy) and melts very quickly from my oily/combo skin.

Cleansers -Philosophy - Purity Made Simple (Real Purity Cleanser)
auburn420 4/7/2008 11:17:00 AM
I keep coming back to this cleanser no matter what I try. It gets all my makeup off, doesn't strip my skin, and just feels and smells so nice when I use it. I have somewhat oily skin that tends to get oilier with wierd dry patches if I use a "oily skin" cleanser and this seems to provide the right balance for me. It may seem kind of expensive but it lasts so much longer than other cleansers I've used so it's worth the purchase price to me.

Hair Color -Garnier - Nutrisse Permanent Creme Hair Color
auburn420 6/22/2007 12:27:00 PM
I have medium red to strawberry blond hair, but prefer a deeper red to auburn tone. The Chocolate Caramel gives me a nice overall brownish color that blends well with my red. It's enough to cover the grey that is sneaking in and give my color a boost and shine without looking obvious. Great natural color selection. The other plus for me is that even tho it is a permanent dye it does fade so i don't have to do touchups if I get lazy or feel like sticking with my natural shade for a while.
