Tiny wand. Crap Mascara. Does Not Work. Worst mascara ever!
I have chocolatey skin and this stuff makes me look like a goddess. It's the perfect shade of bronzing medium. It can be applied thick or it can be thinned out with lotion. My favorite way to apply this is to mix it with lotion. This way prevents it from streaking! You can also mix it with foundation. Also, even though the price may seem steep, it's worth the cost. This product is so versatile and a little bit goes very far.
Skincare - Face -Unlisted Brand - rosehip seed oil

Don't always believe the hype! My oily skin has benefited very well from applying an oil as a moisturizer for my face. I purchased rose hip seed oil by the brand Now and love how well it works on my face. I use this in combination with organic aloe vera gel. I really believe this has helped check my oily acne skin and has drastically changed how often my skin becomes congested with white heads. I paid about $6 for a 1 oz bottle and have been using it since Dec. 2012 and still have 3/4 of the bottle left. It basically pays for itself. A little bit goes a long way. Just make sure the oil is applied to damp skin. That is the only way it will absorb and moisturize the skin. Otherwise, it will just sit on top. Jojoba, almond, argan, apricot and multiple other oils never helped balance the oil production on my face and this one truly works. I'm so in love with rose hip seed oil.
I'm 29 years old and have been dealing with acne since I was 13. After so many years of searching high and low for a cleanser that actually does what it claims, I have finally found 'the one'! This is my hg facial cleanser and treats my oily skin well. The scent is floral but not heavily perfumed (I'm sensitive to harsh scents). It's very light and I love it. The consistency is a gel and thick, and a little goes a long ways. I enjoy wearing makeup so at night, my routine is to use a makeup removing cloth to get the majority of the makeup off. Then I will use a gentle re-usable exfoliating facial sponge and add a nickel sized amount, massage my face for at least 2 minutes and then let this sit on my face for at least a few extra minutes and then rinse. This cleanser has drastically improved the clarity of my skin, has helped balance the oiliness, and has lessen the acne. My face never feels overly dried. Just clean and perfect after use. Price Rating-1 I purchased my first bottle ($13) in December 2012 and still have a 1/4 of the bottle left with using once a day. I'm going on my 5th month...the price is justified! Packaging Quality Rating-3 It could be better. This product has a thick, gel like consistency which would probably be easier to pump out vs. squeeze out. (I believe the new packages are blue with pumps!) Overall Rating-5 I will be purchasing this product again indefinitely! Even if the price shot up to $20, I would buy it again because it works so well and last a long time.
I have tried multiple different brands of facial towelettes (generic, popular brands and even baby wipes) and these are the best ones so far. I wear makeup everyday (due to old acne scars) and majority of the time, I am running around all day. By the time I am ready to climb in to bed, I'm usually exhausted and have no interested in standing over the sink for 5 minutes washing my face and creating a water mess. This is wear this towelettes come in handy. Not only can I wipe my face clean with 1 towelette, they do not leave my face feeling harshly rubbed and over dried! The scent is pleasant also. I believe they are perfect! I wish it did not take me so many years for me to try them out...heading to Amazon so I can buy them in bulk.
Conditioner -Unlisted Brand - Generic Value Products GVP Conditioning Balm
armaclin041584 3/30/2013 2:42:00 PM
I can't believe I walked passed this product in Sally for so many years and hesitated time and time again with purchasing it. I sat underneath my hooded dryer and deep conditioned with it for 20 minutes today on my shampooed 3c/4a hair. My hair was so moisturized and soft. I can't believe how well this product works and I even like it better than the original version. I even love how there is no protein in this product so I can use it after I do a protein treatment. All of my other conditioners are getting the boot...I'll use them up for pre-shampooing and co-washing my hair with. Trying out this product came at the perfect time because I am tired of being a product junkie and not being completely satisfied with a conditioner.
Conditioner -L'Oreal - Hyaluronic Power Moisture Hydrating Conditioner
armaclin041584 1/19/2013 6:25:00 PM
I was strolling through Target this past week and had only a few things to pickup and the display of L'Oreal's new 'Advanced Haircare System' display stopped me dead in my tracks...lol. That has never happened to me before. The black bottles looked so 'sleek'...I just had to purchase something. I steer away from shampoos from majority of all brands but I zeroed right in on what they had to offer with conditioners and treatments. I grabbed the Hyaluronic Conditioner and Power Moisture Moisture Rush Mask, as well as the Total Repair 5 Restoring Conditioner and Total Repair 5 Damage Erasing Balm. I have 3c/4a hair (a lot of curls that love to stay parched) and this zaps moisture into my hair so quickly. The bottle states that it is for 'normal to dry hair' but this conditioner has been the only conditioner that I have ever used that has been able to hydrate my hair so well (while showering) without using a hair steamer/hooded dryer. I'm guessing that this might work on all hair types because it is a very hydrating light conditioner vs. being a heavy moisturizing conditioner....if that makes since. I gave this product a 2 on the price because I was able to pick up the liter for $5 (I believe Target was selling the 12 oz bottles for the same amount as the liters)...great deal. The packaging quality I gave a 4 because it's great that the lid is on the bottom, but the container becomes very slippery and hard to grip in the shower. It would've been nice if they put grooves on the side of the container. The overall rating for this product received a 4 because 1. it does not have the best ingredients in it and 2. the scent is a little much but I prefer it to sweet smelling conditioners. Even though I love natural and organic products, I am really happy with this purchase. I go through a ton of conditioner because I co-wash my curls and this leaves them popping!
I love this product! I was sleeping on it for a while due to so many bad reviews on multiple websites. I'll never do that again!! I have never had one problem with this product being tacky/sticky. It's a gel but it's not. It provides a ton of moisture and hold to my curls without being crunchy and dried out and it makes my hair so shiny! I can go a good 3-4 days without re-moisturizing my curls. I've never had any product do that before (and I am a product junkie!). The souffle doesn't sit on my hair and feel greasy either. Any other styling product I would use for twist outs always required me to re-set my hair with more twist every night and morning. When I undo my twist in the morning, I don't have to add anything to my hair...I'm good to go!! I find this product a winner...the price, how much you get, the small amount that needs to be used, and the scent...makes a great product. If I could change anything, I would prefer the packaging to be a squeeze tube, to help prevent loose strands of hair getting into the container. I will add that I cannot go more than 4 days without co-washing or shampooing my scalp/hair so for the ladies that don't wash their hair that often, this could be a negative about this product. I definitely think it has the potential for 'nasty' build up. Since it is so moisturizing on my hair I would never want to re-set my twist out with more of the souffle. I would probably just add water and re-set.
Lotions/ Creams -Alba Botanica - Un-petroleum Multi-Purpose Jelly
armaclin041584 1/14/2013 8:22:00 PM
I grew up loving Vaseline but due to what it is made with (petroleum), I will no longer purchase it. Alba Un-petroleum Multi-Purpose Jelly is a great alternative since it soothes, moisturizes and softens. It's made with beeswax, castor oil, coconut oil, and vitamin-e...it's amazing. It does cost more (when compared to Vaseline) but so worth it...and if you are a DIY-er it's really easy to mix up your own batch of it, which makes it even more cost-efficient. I also really appreciate how this product comes in a tube, so that it is never contaminated. I use this on my face as a deep moisture mask for nighttime, for moisturizing my sons eczema prone skin and any other reasons I can think of, I love this product!! I just wish they would make it available in a larger size vs the 3.5 oz.
An amazing conditioner!! Works great with my 3c/4a curls. Keeps them moisturized and strong. I have nothing but great success with this product. My absolute HG when it comes to hair protein conditioners!
I grew up loving Vaseline but due to what it is made with (petroleum), I will no longer purchase the product. I have found an alternative that works just as well. It's by Alba and it's called 'Un-petroleum' Multi-Purpose Jelly that soothes, moisturizes and softens. It's made with beeswax, castor oil, coconut oil, and vitamin-e...it's amazing. It does cost more but so worth it...and if you are a DIY-er it's really easy to mix up your own batch of it, which makes it cost-efficient.
Deodorants -Unlisted Brand - Thai Deodorant Crystal
armaclin041584 11/13/2012 7:53:00 PM
The perfect alternative for staying fresh all day long AND healthy! My husband converted me to this product. I use the 'rock' stick and the liquid version. Both work exactly the same...liquid version is just more convenient. When my child becomes of age to wear deodorant...I will be passing this product along knowing that it is safe for little ones also. FYI, Just make sure your 'pits' are clean every time you use it or it will not work (at least not for me).
Toners -Unlisted Brand - Bragg's Apple Cider Vinegar
armaclin041584 10/24/2012 12:55:00 AM
Just buy a bottle!! You are bound to find something to do with this multi-purpose bottle of magic. I use it as dandruff controlling product (1 part ACV + 1 part distilled water), I use it as a face toner (1 part ACV + 1 part distilled water), I also use it with my Aztec Indian clay mask (freaking amazing!!) and I drink a couple of tablespoons every morning to energize my body and push toxins/impurities out. And of course, you can cook with it. Can't go wrong with ACV! Buy some and have fun with it. Just make sure it's organic and unfiltered :)
Gels/Soaps -Unlisted Brand - Summers Eve - Feminine Wash
armaclin041584 10/24/2012 12:47:00 AM
Was introduced to this product a couple of years ago. I was visiting a friend out of state and she had it in her shower (Morning Paradise). Oh my, fell in love with the scent, that I had no irritations, and that the product last a long time. It works so well and never ever burns. Critiques: I would love to have a product like this that comes in the same scent but with better sustainable ingredients. Overall: I will continue to buy this until I come across a product with more natural occurring ingredients.
Skincare - Body -Unlisted Brand - Summer's Eve - Feminine Cleansing Cloths

Love these!! All women should have these. They keep you fresh after the bathroom, during that time of month, and after intimacy. They are a no brainer...matter of fact, they should make these for men too! But if I could change anything about them it would be that the packaging would be eco-friendly and the cleansing cloth ingredients would be more sustainable. Until I can find an alternative, these will do. I have no irritations with these and they work:)
