Brows -Revlon - Brow Fantasy
acbaker82 2/20/2011 2:05:00 PM
By far my hg brow pencil. When I first bought this I got so many compliments on my eyebrows, and I have bought this a second time and still love it. The pencil is very natural looking and I love that it comes with a gel to set your eyebrows in place. Before I would buy a clear mascara separately to set my eyebrows but now I can have the same thing in just one product. I bought the darker brown the first time and the light brown this second time, and both look great. I actually get more compliments when I wear the darker because it's more dramatic and really completes any look. I have tried powders on my brows before but this pencil is the best, two products in one and very affordable. It glides on without going on too heavy and fake, but isn't too soft either, just right. I will continue to buy this again and again, and I don't say that about very many products!

Self Tanners -Coppertone - Endless Summer Sunless Tanning Gradual Tan Moisturizing Lotion
acbaker82 6/20/2010 1:39:00 PM
I love this self tanner! This is the second summer I have used this tanner. I am pretty novice at using self tanners, and years ago I tried neutrogena build a tan that streaked so bad and turned orange, so I was timid to try self tanners again. This is a def buy over and over again. No streaing, and leaves a nice tan, no orange, on my fair/light skin. This is pretty light feeling, and the scent is not strong or offensive, the formula can be used for face as well. I usually start off the first three days applying to the lighter areas, like my neck, legs, and under my arms, then apply all over when my neck color starts to catch up with my face and arm color. After about two weeks I start to use this in alternation with banana boat deep dark color self tanning lotion, and I get a really bronze tan with no orange. Im not scared of self tanners anymore thanks to this product.

Shampoo -Suave - Professionals Shampoo and Conditioner (entire series)
acbaker82 6/13/2009 7:44:00 AM
I am 27 and I have been using suave for I don't know how long. When I was 12 I started picking out my own stuff so I always got the cheap scented ones, and when I got older my mom started buying the suave professionals. When ever I try anything else, even salon, I always come back to the suave professionals. I always get comments on the health of my hair when I go to get it cut. The packaging is sleek and very nice looking for the price, and I do like the flip top lids, you can store them upside down to get out the rest of the product. I usually wash my hair every other day, I have oily hair, but I also think letting the natural oils redistribute helps the shine of my hair, I use hairspray on occation, but if I use alot I just mix in a little baking soda with the shampoo, so no need to buy anything separate for clairifying. I would recommend this shampoo to anyone, they have different formulas, and it's super cheap so why not try it out! My hair always feels clean and never stripped, and the conditioners make your hair feel nice.

Fragrances -Rimmel - Fragrance- London Glitz
acbaker82 5/19/2009 4:11:00 PM
I can't believe this is discontinued. I have been wearing this since it came out in 2000 something like that, and when I run out I search swaps, ebay, you name it! I love the sweet fruity smell, mixed with soft floral scents. I am not a huge fan of floral scents because they are too strong and perfumy old smelling to me, but this is such a nice balance. It's not overly sweet like sugar, but more like the sweetness of apples and watermelon like. The only thing I've found that smells like this is a fragrance by rue21 called revert eco, in a green bottle. It smells so much like the glitz, I need to stock up on it I suppose! I also think the DK Be Delicious (the green bottle) smells along the same lines of fruity and sweetness, with only light floral, I love it as well, it's the best you will be able to find if you can't get a hold of the rue21 fragrance or the london glitz.

Mascara -Clinique - Lash Doubling Mascara
acbaker82 5/16/2009 4:16:00 PM
I got this as a gift with purchase, and I love it. I dunno if I would buy it because it is pricey for me, but the formula is smooth and the brush and big with lots of bristles, it reminds me so much of maybelline colossal, with is like my drugstore fav fav! I have pretty full lashes, and I love this, the formula is not too thick, and it glides on easily. It holds the curl nicely. I wear it in most of my fotd photos. The packaging is very pretty and sleek. It doen't double like it says, but this is very nice if you have naturally full lashes and you want lots of separation. One tip, you will get lots of product on the brush, just wipe some off back into the tube and it's perfectly enough product for both eyes. If you want something cheaper, go with colossal, but if you want a thinner formula with a brush that separates lashes well, I recommend this if you don't mind the price.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Infallible Lipgloss - Bloom
acbaker82 5/16/2009 3:49:00 PM
I am buying a backup of this color! I love love it, compared to all the infallible colors, this is my HG color. It is a gorgeous pink shade that goes on semi shear, it's almost opaque but lets some of your lip color come through. I have had this for about two months and I wear it all the time. It's great over lip liner, depending on the color undertone you want to acheive, but this to me is pretty on my lips just by itself. It's a great shade for fair, light, and medium tones, who want a soft pink sheen to their natural lip color. It is pretty pigmented, the color in the tube is the color your lips will be tinted. It's like my lips only more pink and shiny, I can't say enough about the color. I actually like the applicator, the shape is perfect for applying, to me brushes fan out too much on my lips, and the pointed applicator is perfect shape for your lip curves. I don't mind the sticky either, because I know it's staying on for hours, and I am used to wearing lip balm all the time so my lips are never naked, so I don't mind the feel of this at all.

Lip Gloss -L'Oreal - Infallible Lip Gloss
acbaker82 5/16/2009 3:41:00 PM
I love the infallible lip glosses! I have bloom, and I am purchasing more soon. I wrote a review on bloom as well. These are HG for me. They are the perfect gloss that you don't have to keep re-applying. I am more of a gloss person than a lipstick person. The glosses are priced pretty good, considering the texture and feel is very similar to the stila liplazes, and they last just as long. I only have to reapply this after eating. I like to pair this with a longlasting lipliner, so some color is still there in between applications. It does not stay on as long as marketed, but they do last very long compared to regular lip glosses. They are sticky/tacky, that's what makes them last, but a little tip, don't press your lips together until it is 'set' just wait a few minutes for it to set onto your lips, it won't be as tacky later on as when you first put it on. I only gave this 4 lippies because the color range could be better, such a shame cause these are awesome! I also love to pat pigments on top of mine to change the color, they stay on your lips pretty much all day with the infallible gloss underneath!

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Concentrated Duo - Devious #336
acbaker82 5/16/2009 3:22:00 PM
ROP/ continue for photo example....I love the HIP duos. The packaging is really cute, and even tho I don't like to use sponge applicators, you can store one underneath for on the go and touch ups. I wonder if I can find a brush small enough to fit?? The price is a little high for drugstore, so I get mine when the are bogo. The quality is really good, and they are very pigmented. They are creamy and not too crumbly. They crumble less if you apply them with a brush and pat/ pack the color on your eyes and build the color. I don't ever wear anything but pinks, mauves, and purples, and browns...so I was very intrigued by the green and brown combo. If you are tired of plain brown like I was, I highly recommend this! I love to place the green on my lid, put the brown in the crease, and for a more smokey eye I pair this with the Mischief duo, with the blue in the outer v and the gold/cream color as a highlight, it is gorgeous! If you love neutral brown or gold looks try out the green as a light liner under your eyes or on the lid or crease, especially if you have brown eyes, the green is a great toned down color that makes your eyes pop. Here is a light smokey eye I used these colors in http://img.makeupalley.com/2/6/4/7/1291008.JPG

Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Concentrated Duo - Mischief
acbaker82 5/16/2009 3:15:00 PM
ROP/ continue for photo example...I am loving the HIP duos. I almost bought all the pink, purple, and gold shades they had, but I bought mischief, because the colors are unique and I wouldn't think to buy these colors. Wait until your drugstore has a bogo, I got this and got a second one for free, so for $12 I got 4 eyeshadow colors and these are great quality. They are not too powdery and actually go on quite creamy. The best way to apply these is with an eyeshadow brush and pack/pat on, then blend after the colors are in place. I love the gold shade, it will go great with many many looks. I love using the dark navy/teal for a smokey eye. I am not a blue wearer, but I pop some of this color on the over v and crease and instant smokey eye with some color! I love to pair this with the green and brown in the Devious duo, as seen in this look...sorry the photo is bad quality, by digital camera broke!! http://img.makeupalley.com/2/6/4/7/1291008.JPG

Liquid -Revlon - ColorStay Makeup
acbaker82 4/26/2009 12:01:00 PM
This is the only foundation I have bought again since high school, which was about 10yrs ago! I have always needed heavy coverage for my skin, and in high school I bought covergirl all the time because is wasn't expensive, but as I got older I didn't care for it much. I bought sand beige the first time and it was too dark on my neck, but matched my face, so this time I bought buff which blends in almost perfect, because my face is 2 shades darker and more pink and my neck is more yellow. I also bought the powder to go with it and it sets wonderfully! I am giving it 4 lippies because if you have never used a thicker foundation it will take some practice, but if you have bad skin like me the coverage you get is worth it. I gave it a 3 on price, because it's not as expensive as department stores but if you are used to buying 3 or 5 dollar foundations it will seem like a lot to you. Watch your drugstore for bogo, I got the colorstay powder in light for free with it. The pour out bottle doesn't bother me as much, but I see how a pump would be nice. Not enough to get me to not keep buying this. I have a photo in my profile with me and my hubby, and I am wearing this and the powder, my acne as never been covered up so well, I urge anyone to definitely try it out. This is very close to my HG, but I prefer L'oreal true match because revlon runs too beige for me I need more yellow tone. I would buy again tho to wear on occasion, and I like that it has some spf.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Fruit of the Earth - Vitamin E Cream
acbaker82 4/21/2009 2:00:00 PM
I love this stuff! It is too thick to be a daytime moisturizer, but I wear it at night and in the morning my skin looks so calm! I have major redness and bad acne. The vitamin E and other ingredients seem to heal my skin faster than if I just go to bed without it. I am on my second tub of this and just bought two more, I get them at my local family dollar and you get two containers for under 4 dollars! No other moisturizer has helped my face so much! I really don't like dipping my fingers into the tub, but it works so I can deal with that.

Lip Treatments -Neosporin - Lip Treatment
acbaker82 4/4/2009 11:44:00 PM
This stuff worked pretty good, but not great for the price. I wasn't impressed with the squeeze tube, I just usually don't like lip balms in a squeeze tube. It just made my lips peel really bad. I love neosporin stuff, but this just didn't love my lips very much :( It's a little pricey too when I can get blistex or carmex for like a dollar.

Styling Products -Got 2 Be - Glued [water-resistant] Spiking Glue
acbaker82 4/2/2009 11:52:00 PM
This is my HG all the way! I originally bought it because the big yellow bottle got my attention and the word "glued" My hair is flat slick straight and won't hold curl worth nothing. This hairspray is super hold and I love the smell, I can't describe it but it smells good to me. It holds my curls for hours. It is extremely sticky, but worth the hold! if you need extreme hold, try this!

Cleansers -Olay - Olay Definity Penetrating Foaming Cleanser
acbaker82 3/28/2009 4:44:00 PM
I love this stuff! I gave it a four tho not a five because I didn't know it had scrubby grains in it, but I was in need of a face scrub, so it worked out for me. The mousse really takes the shine out of my face and it feels clean, but not dry. If you think of this more of a gentle every other day kind of face scrub you will like the product more. It helped to take away some flakiness that I had due to some breakouts that were not healing so great. It's not really good for an everyday cleanser tho, it's more of a micro scrub kinda deal. I still use my olay fragrance free gentle cleanser for morning and night cleansing. I liked this even better than the St. Ives face scrub, because those apricot grains just hurt my face too badly.

Foundations -Maybelline - Dream Matte Mousse
acbaker82 3/28/2009 4:33:00 PM
I love the feel of this stuff as it goes on. It's really creamy and blends into my skin well. There are not many colors to choose from, I am light/light medium and I bought light number 2. At first when I opened it I was scared! It looked way dark and orange! When I put it on it blended into my skin perfectly. My combo/oily skin looked so matte after I applied it, my sister even said it looked nice! It is the best full coverage drugstore I have bought in a long time, and my first cream foundation. I do have major acne scaring and breakouts and liquid foundation just doesn't cover for me. I didn't even need a primer with this stuff, it kinda feels like a primer going on. I would recommend it for someone with major shine issues that needs full coverage like me. I think I will repurchase if this stuff doesn't break me out! *edit- I did repurchase. I gave this stuff away in a swap, because my skin texture from acne was bad so it accentuated dry spots, but I've been on acne.org and my skin texture and appearance is so nice, this stuff goes on like a dream now. If you moisturize and exfoliate and take care of your skin this foundation will work, if you don't like matte makeup I don't think this will work for you but I really hate for my face to shine so I am still loving this, I think it's pretty much HG and all I ask for in a foundation.
