Lipstick -Christian Dior - Addict Extreme

I usually dread going to Sephora with my mom because she thinks that I spend too much money on my makeup -- which I do, but I don't really want to get a lecture on. So when I went with my mom, I tried to get her as excited as I am about makeup by asking for her opinion in certain products, which then resulted to us buying matching Dior Addict Extreme in the same shade - Riviera (#639). We both love using it, which is a surprise because the color very coral and I never expected my mom to like it. Already repurchased it in another color -- Bellissima (#789).

Concealers -Yves Saint Laurent - Touche Eclat No 2

I wish I could love this product, but the price and the fact that Maybelline Dream Lumi works just as well at a much lower price made me regret buying this product. For those who are interested in brightening products like this, you have to really be careful in your application so you can get the desired result. I don't treat this item as a concealer --- one click is all I need. I swipe the product at the back of my hand, then use my ring finger to tap the product to the inner corner-ish area of my under eyes.

Liquid -BeneFit Cosmetics - "Hello Flawless!" Oxygen Wow
rated 2 of 5
abigtourist 3/23/2013 4:28:00 PM

This foundation did not wow me at all. I got "color-matched" under the super bright Sephora lights with Toasted Beige, which is way too dark for me when under natural lighting. It was all too expensive considering I can't even wear it. What a shame since it does provide good coverage.

Foundations -Make Up For Ever - HD High Definition Foundation
rated 5 of 5

Of all the foundations in my rotation, I keep this for special occasions. It really does give me a great face for pictures. I wear it with my Neutrogena moisturizer and Rimmel Fix and Perfect under it, and then Maybelline Dream Lumi on my undereyes and light dusting of MUFE Duo Mat Powder Foundation on my t-zone.

Moisturizers -Clinique - Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion
rated 2 of 5
abigtourist 11/17/2012 4:23:00 PM

This is moisturizing... too bad it broke me out! What's really weird though is that it was oily when I applied it to my skin... and then after some time, my skin would be dry! I should have stayed with my tried and tested routine of just Neutrogena Healthy Defense Daily Moisturizer. And so I did.

Lip Treatments -Smith's Rosebud Salve - Smith's Rosebud Salve
rated 4 of 5

I really love this product! I agree with the other reviewers -- the tin packaging is a little unsanitary... but that's why I don't share it with anyone else! And for that, I don't borrow other people's lip products and buy my own lol with that said, I keep this on my office desk in case I forget my Dr. Pepper lip balm at home. It's also great in taming my cuticles!

Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - Boi-ing
rated 2 of 5

For 25 bucks, this is nothing but an expensive cute packaging encasing a horrible product. I got it in 02, and Im NC30. This does not do anything for my skin... In fact, my MU4E does a better job! Erase Paste is definitely a better concealer :)

Eyeliner -Sephora - Keep Kohl! Eyeliner in Blue
rated 3 of 5
abigtourist 7/31/2012 12:06:00 AM

I'm giving this a "1" for price because I recently got it for two bucks from Sephora. I usually don't buy stuff on sale at Sephora because I'm scared that it's expired, or dried up, or the pigments don't work anymore. However, when I saw this gorgeous blue, I had to take it because blue eyeliner looked so pretty on the Anna Sui Fall 2012 show. Although this product was so hard to work with and was not waterproof at all, for two bucks, I would not complain so much. However, I don't think it will be on sale any longer, so no I'm not going to buy it again at its normal price.

Blush -Tarte - Amazonian Clay Long-Wear Blush in Tipsy
rated 5 of 5
abigtourist 7/30/2012 11:57:00 PM

I was definitely scared when the lady from Sephora recommended this to me when I told her I'm itching to add a new shade to my blush rotation -- I believe my exact words were "I do not want to look like an orange clown!" But of course she gave me the whole "you can return it if you don't like it" spiel. Good thing I listened to her because this blush is AMAZING. It's long lasting, highly-pigmented (one swipe!), and most of all, gives me a nice flush while helps to contour my face ( I seriously want to know how Tarte was able to come up with such a thing!). Definitely will buy it when I run out!

Mascara -Christian Dior - Diorshow Mascara
rated 1 of 5
abigtourist 7/30/2012 8:57:00 PM

This smells sooooooo good... And that's it. Did nothing to my lashes at all (it's not my fault that my lashes are already jet black to begin with). I was so disappointed that I paid so much for something that I wouldn't use again. I definitely learned my lesson, and will stick to my Chanel mascara for some eyelash drama.

Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24-7 Glide On Eye Pencil in Lucky
rated 4 of 5
abigtourist 7/30/2012 7:25:00 PM

For some odd reason, this is the only true copper that shows up against my skin. I'm NC30, and the red tone of this pencil really opens up my eyes ( I tried NARS' and Sephora Collection's, and both barely show up against my skin tone). The only downside is that it doesn't last that long.

Eye Shadow -Urban Decay - Naked Palette
rated 5 of 5
abigtourist 7/30/2012 7:18:00 PM

Definitely worth the money. Not only do the colors of the eye shadows work well for me (NC30), but they also do for my friends (They range from NC20 - NC40)... I've had this palette for about six months now, and I still have a lot of product left. Like I said, most definitely worth the money.

Lipstick -MAC - Retro Matte - Ruby Woo
rated 4 of 5
abigtourist 7/30/2012 7:11:00 PM

Amazing color. It sucks that this lipstick is very drying. I had to exfoliate my lips right after wearing this because my lips were chapped badly. Thus, I can only wear this lipstick once in a while. Otherwise, my lips are going to suffer horribly.

Blush -NARS - Deep Throat
rated 5 of 5
abigtourist 7/30/2012 7:01:00 PM

The only thing that I love more than Nars rubber packaging is the color of Deep Throat itself! I'm in love with this blush! Everytime I use it, I get multiple compliments. For reference, I'm NC30, and it shows nicely against my skin tone, and even better on pictures!

Concealers -BeneFit Cosmetics - confessions of a concealaholic
rated 4 of 5
abigtourist 7/30/2012 6:58:00 PM

Erase paste is a gift from the BeneFit gods! I especially like this concealer palette because it has a good size for Erase paste, Lemon Aid, and Eye Bright --- The individual package for each product is too much! All you need is one swipe of your pinky for each product to do the job. The only downside for me is that Boi-ing and That Gal are both useless to me. (I use High Beam as a highlight instead of using That Gal to brighten my face.)
