I am tormented by this burning tongue when I try to go to sleep at night. I have severe dry mouth all day. This stuff doesn't seem to make it better and it is $9 US. I needed this to work for me oh well. I am using it with the biotene gel as well.

Shampoo -Unlisted Brand - Nizoral AD Shampoo
MomColors 2/27/2011 8:06:00 PM
I have suffered with very severe scalp psoraisis for 30 years. I tried Nizoral about 12 years ago and like everything else it didn't work for me. Fast forward to now. My little guy Is showing the same signs so I decided to give this another try. Son far so good. I am so relieved. I didn't want my son to have the same enbarassing flaking I have. He is almost free of flaking and mine is greatly reduced. We use it about 3x times in a row and take 2x off. Fingers crossed I have cure. I will update if it Stops working. It has a strong stinky smell. I like this because it reminds me not to use too much which is important since it is a medicine.

Moisturizers -Vichy - LiftActiv Nightcream
MomColors 2/27/2011 6:38:00 PM
I must be using a different product than the other reviewers. I saw no change in wrinkles. It is not moisturizing although it sold as more of a treatment rather than a moisturizer. This cream might be ok if it were priced at $25. However, at $50 I do not think I have ever used a more disappointing cream. NeOvadiol is the only product I will be buying from the Vichy line the future. It is my HG.

Moisturizers -L'Oreal - Age Perfect Hydra-Nutrition

It does not hydrate my skin or moisturize it. I have been using it about 3 months. If you are planning on buying I would not spend more than $7 on it.

Moisturizers -La Roche Posay - Nutritic

Do you have dry skin? GET THIS moisturizer. It is the ONLY one which came close to relieving my skin of this winter dryness. Not irritating at all to me. My skin does react to products on occasion so I do know what that feels like. I can't reccommend this enough. I snagged it on clearance. I don't find these negative but I know some people do so here goes negatives: heavy scent, very creamy slow to absorb pros: skin is soft after using, skin stays moisturized, it's on clearance, it WORKS I Using the 2.5 version

Hair Styling Tools -Conair - Infiniti Tourmaline Ceramic Ionic Styler/Dryer (Model 207P)
MomColors 5/9/2008 7:18:00 PM
(This review is for model 213X from Ulta, the cool shot is in the front not the back) I caution you because I did try the other Conair dryers and they did not all work as well as this one. Price $39.99 on 5/08. It is black with silver plates and 2 sliders in the front. Ininiti Tourmaline Pros: Air Power, lots of it. Diminishes a bit when diffuser or concentrator is added. Guess what? On this dryer Cool is Cold even on the High speed yippeeee, Warm is Warm and Hot is Hot. Try finding that for under $80. Cool/Warm/Hot High and Low Cool shot Concentrator and Diffuser stay firmly attached. Cons: Conair has named all their dryers the same it's easy to pick up the wrong one. It's heavy. The nozzle could be a wee bit longer for styling purposes. Weighted - I thought the Jilbere was more professionally weighted when I held it. This definitely has the drugstore feel. Has the Ion on/off in the back. I personally think that Ion stuff is more marketing than reality. Returned the Jilbere and kept this one. I needed Cold and Warm to dry my kids hair and my own. I have sensitive scalp and need to be able to cool it off. Cool shot buttons are a pain to hold down Will update in couple of months to see if I am still yearning for the Speed Freak.

Titanium Series JBTT5575 Purchased at Marshalls/ TJMaxx for $30 This dryer says 4 heat spd Settings - it does not. The reason I am only giving 3 lips is I think Conair and Revlon have better offerings at this price point. I am keeping it but I wouldn't buy another. I want WARM to be WARM not 2 degress less than HOT. Big Plusses for the concentrator nozzle which stays on firmly. I love it. Air Power - There is lots of it on this dryer and a good competitor to the Rusk Speed Freak, which I really want. Speed= Low or High (this does work) Heat= Warm or Hot (Warm does not work) Cool shot button does work, that's a pain to hold down all the time. 1900 watts Has marketing claims of ceramic and ions and all that other stuff. Does that work? I have no idea, exactly what science-based study has proven a dryer blows ions and it's better for your hair or dries it faster? I wish the Warm worked. That would please me more than ions and ceramic titanium technology. BTW- Youtube has some terrific bow drying instructions.

Conditioner -L'Oreal - Vive Pro Nutri Gloss for Normal to Fine Hair
MomColors 4/29/2008 1:23:00 PM
Using this on my 7 year old daughter along with HE blue poo (I forget the name "hydration something"). Bought this conditioner. because the HE conditioner did not ever remove tangles from her hair without tremendous effort. She has a head full of fine hair and I mean lots of it. Even though it's bone straight she gets bed head. We use this and the tangles are very decreased. I love it. I love the price too!!!! Not sure I would like this for my hair mommy needs more moisture to even comb her thin fine wavy hair. Received this as BOGO from CVS. One tiny complaint - fragrance. I worry she will be swarmed with bugs in the summer from the fragrance. But tell me a conditioner that detangles without scent and I am off to buy it!

Makeup Brushes -Essence of Beauty - Eye Shadow Brush
MomColors 4/29/2008 1:15:00 PM
Now if my budget permitted I'd be using a Trish or Stila brush but unfortunately I can't for now. I love the price on this brush. It sheds a tiny bit but for $5 what can I expect. I like the fact that it grabs enough shadow when I'm in a hurry I don't have to keep going back and back for more eyeshadow. I will be buying a back of this must have.

Be prepared for this to slightly scratch and shed. So if it were $40 it would receive a low rating from me anyway. For $13 it fits my budget and spreads my PF powder quickly and evenly. I love it. I definitely will be buying a spare.

Styling Products -Got 2 Be - Crazy Sleek Hot Smooth Iron & Blow Dry Lotion
MomColors 4/29/2008 1:05:00 PM
I have fine, limp, home colored and thinning hair. I've decided to see if I can style my hair with an iron instead of a blow dryer. I noticed after ironing my hair wasn't looking so sleek and shiny so off to the store I went. I used a dime sized amount of this and spread onto the very ends of my hair. It is thick lotion and I assume if you go from root to end it will go greasy on you. Anyway I had air dryed hair, used this lotion and the flat iron slid through it easily after applying this to my hair. Three hours and my hair is still straight wear I want it. No frizzies and Crazy Sleek gave me just the right amount of sleek. Gets 5 lips for price/performance. ps - people are complaining about the smell. It disappears shortly after I iron my hair.

Hair Styling Tools -Conair - Nano Silver Mod#CS43
MomColors 4/29/2008 4:34:00 AM
I've never used a flat iron before so I have nothing to compare it to. I wash my thin wavy hair every 2 or 3 days. (I home color so I don't like to wash that often otherwise the color goes and the grays show!) I bought this because I couldn't decide what I wanted. What I found is I want the larger iron 1 3/4. I want to frame my face and I think the larger iron will work better for me. Pros: Heated instantly I don't think I needed 395 degrees! Hair slid right through the plates no problem at all but, I have thin hair too. The plates really are longer and made styling a snap. Straightened perfectly. Multiple temp settings. Comes with a heat mat/pouch It's tourmaline ceramic with ion technology - whatever that means. Swivel Cord Cons: I guess ceramic coated is not as good as ceramic. I have no idea but this iron is ceramic coated. I think I might like a rounded barrel better. Price $75 at the drugstore that seemed like a lot. I'm giving it 5 lippies. It met my expecations and was packaged well so I knew what the iron did.

Lotions/ Creams -Sally Hansen - Healing Foot Cream
MomColors 4/29/2008 4:16:00 AM
I'm not a foot girl. Never had a pedicure in my life. Can't remember the last time I bent over to put nail polish on my toenails. Get the picture? Hey when you have ugly feet you don't want to look at them. Anyway I never give their appearance a thought until May rolls around and then I cringe!!!! They are cracked and dryed out from the winter. Cuticles a mess, yuk. I put this cream on my feet and sleep with socks on. By the 3rd night they look like I had a manicure the week before. And more importantly give me the incentive to scrape off the dead cuticles and skin on my heels. This cream comes in a small package but it's worth every drop.

Gels/Soaps -Unlisted Brand - CVS Aloe Vera Gel 16 oz.
MomColors 4/29/2008 4:09:00 AM
CVS Aloe Vera Gel in the 16 oz. Pump Bottle is clear. There are lots of choices so I wanted to be specific here. I use this all the time on sunburns for family. I prefer H.Tropic Aloe Vera Gel but can't ever find it. What I like about the CVS brand is there is lidocaine and the alcohol concentration is formulated in such a way that it doesn't sting when going on the skin. I find with the menthol and lidocaine products in aloe very they sting when first applied which doesn't help the cause! The only downside is this stuff is sticky and doesn't dry very well. Which is really what makes the burn feel better anyway! It's $5.00 in May of 2008, you can't beat that price!

Treatments -Dr. Denese - Advanced Firming Facial Pads
MomColors 4/24/2008 7:56:00 PM
These sting a little bit when you put them on. Also the solution drips off of the pad. I've been using these for about a month. They are a nice exfoliator. They aren't drying at all. My pores look a little smaller. I think this product is expensive for what it actually accoomplishes.
