Blush -Etude - Etude House Fresh Cherry Tint
rated 4 of 5
Miluiel 12/3/2012 1:09:00 AM

I received a sample of this product in shade number 001, Cherry Pink, with an order from seoulglamour. The sample packet was very generous - I've already used this product twice, and there's still at least half a packet left because it requires so little to get a lovely, fresh-faced look. The color is really scary coming straight out of the package - an opaque, neon pink - but it sheers out to a lovely light flush on my pale skin. With a touch of powder on top, it looks perfect paired with a BB Cream! This shade is very similar in color to Benefit's PosieTint, though I think I prefer the Etude House version's texture because it's slightly thicker and I think it blends better.

Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - GUD - Orange Petalooza Body Lotion
rated 5 of 5

Loving this body lotion. It's thick and creamy, with a delicious orange scent. I feel like it does a good job of moisturizing my skin, and the scent sticks around for quite a while after application. I'll most likely be buying this brand again, once I've cut down my body lotion stash a bit!

Mascara -Stila - Forever Your Curl
rated 2 of 5

Not pleased with this mascara. While I like the idea of the thin brush on the wand, the product they combined it with just plain sucks. I normally don't have a problem with flakes, but this mascara is all over my face. It also rubs off way too easily, even for a non-waterproof mascara. Definitely will NOT bother buying again.

Mascara -Cover Girl - Lash Blast
rated 3 of 5

This product is one of those that I'm just sort of "meh" about - it's not fantastic, but it doesn't suck, either. I found this to be a good, basic mascara, but it didn't really give me any added volume or length (especially not compared with some of the other mascaras I've tried). The wand was pretty cool and worked pretty well, but that was the only thing I really liked about it. I probably won't buy it again unless I need something in a hurry, to be honest.

Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
rated 3 of 5
Miluiel 6/5/2012 9:46:00 PM

I wanted to love this product, because it gets so many rave reviews. But in comparison with other primers I've tried, it's really just okay. It does its job well, but the price and the packaging make it not worth dealing with in my opinion. Not to mention that mine started smelling kinda funky faster than I thought it should have. Anyways, I won't be repurchasing this product.

Lotions/ Creams -Aveeno - Daily Moisturizing Lotion
rated 5 of 5

Loving this lotion. I bought two of the purse-sized tubes about a month ago because they were on a sale at CVS. This is pretty much the best thing I've found for my dry skin - when my skin starts itching, it's the first thing I reach for now because nothing else makes it bearable so quickly. I will definitely be buying again (and in larger quantities!).

Mascara -BeneFit Cosmetics - BADgal Plum
rated 4 of 5
Miluiel 7/9/2010 7:11:00 PM

I bought this product after an SA at the BeneFit counter used it on me during a mini-makeover. I don't know if I'm not applying it properly, but on my own I don't get the dramatic look that she managed to pull off with this mascara, but I do like it a lot. This is a much more subtle mascara than my usual Clinique High Impact in Black, and I tend to use this on my lower lashes when I'm going out because it isn't as harsh. It's also a great mascara for my toned-down work look. My biggest complaint with this mascara is the brush. To do my lower lashes, I have to use a disposable brush because the one in the tube is just too big and collects too much product. It's almost too big to do my upper lashes, although I do manage that without making a mess. Unlike some of the other reviewers, I've never had a problem with this mascara flaking, nor is it stiff feeling when I touch my lashes like some other mascaras I've tried.

Mascara -Clinique - High Impact Mascara
rated 4 of 5
Miluiel 7/9/2010 7:02:00 PM

This is the only mascara I've ever repurchased, but I can't say it's all that. This mascara does deliver on the promise to make an impact; my lashes look thicker (though not longer), and the color is definitely good for a more intense eye look. It's a bit too much for more toned down looks, such as the one I have to wear to work because of the dress code for my job. This product does tend to start clumping fairly quickly, compared to some of the other mascaras I've tried in the past. While I have an unopened tube at the moment, once I've finished it I may try to find another brand again that gives similar impact but without the clumping issue that seems to show up all too quickly with this product.

Blush -Bare Escentuals - Glee/ all over face color
rated 5 of 5
Miluiel 12/5/2009 12:54:00 AM

I have to admit, when I first saw this color in the pot I was skeptical. As a Fairly Light girl, I had tried Warmth with rather disastrous results (I still don't have the hang of it), and when I actually got out Glee it looked dangerously dark. I was wrong. Glee is perfect for a subtle flush of color on your cheeks. But always remember that a little goes a long way... and I mean a little. I was skeptical that the small amount I put on the angled face brush would actually cover both cheeks, but it was just right. After this success, I'm tempted to try Warmth again, especially since I have such a large jar of the stuff. I will definitely be buying Glee again, if I ever run out. As little of the product as I use, the jar I have should last a LONG time. For what you get, this is a GREAT value for a BE product.

Makeup Brushes -Bare Escentuals - Flawless Application Face Brush
rated 4 of 5
Miluiel 11/27/2009 1:36:00 PM

I received this brush in the Complexion Kit that's available at Ulta and it is one of my favorite brushes now. The brush was very soft straight out of the packaging, something that I've never experienced before. It shed a bit at first, but that seems to be over now that I've used it a few times and pulled out some loose bristles. For the money, I think this brush is excellent. This is my first BE brush, and I am very pleased with it. If the others I have coming are as good as this one, I may very well be converted from my HG mark brushes for good.

Lip Gloss -Smashbox - Lip Enhancing Gloss in Fame
rated 1 of 5
Miluiel 11/27/2009 1:27:00 PM

I have to say, I am NOT impressed with this gloss. Maybe I'm just more into shimmery, sheer lip products, but this gloss is just gross in my opinion. It's too thick and too heavily pigmented for me (I wear Fairly Light in BE & EM). I can understand liking pigmented or thick glosses, but this seriously made me think of the really cheap glosses I used to buy at the dollar store when I was in middle school... NOT flattering and kind of disgusting to use. Thankfully I didn't buy a full size... this was just a mini in the Ulta Beauty Basics doorbuster. I won't be trying this again.

Primer/ Corrector -Smashbox - Photo Finish Primer
rated 2 of 5
Miluiel 11/27/2009 1:22:00 PM

As of right now, I'm really not impressed with this primer. While it feels great on my face, it's doing nothing for my large pores. They look just as big after using Photo Finish as they did with just my bareMinerals or Everyday Minerals foundation. I'll continue trying to work with it and update this later, but my first impressions say it's not worth the money. Glad I got this as a Ulta doorbuster on Black Friday instead of paying full price.

Foundations -Max Factor - Pan-Stick in Nude Ivory
rated 2 of 5
Miluiel 11/11/2009 4:10:00 PM

So, I have to admit I was in LOVE with this foundation until last week. It was my HG for stage makeup... as a performer at the college level, I used this product for every play or concert I was in. And then last week, I spent more time under the stage lights in a single performance than ever before. And by the end of the week (dress rehearsals through the run of our play), my face was ANGRY. Not just a little redness... my toner BURNED. Many of the lotions I had that I occasionally used burned on my skin. My cheeks were an awful red color that was difficult to cover with any other makeup, including mineral powder. While this product provides great coverage, I now have to find a new HG stage makeup within the next three weeks, because I can't wear this for two choir performances... not when we're going to be under the stage lights. As long as you don't have sensitive or borderline-sensitive skin (which I have) you should be fine using this product.

Highlighters -MAC - Cream Color Base in Luna
rated 4 of 5
Miluiel 11/24/2007 10:16:00 AM

OK, so I'm not the type of person who will usually pay very much for makeup. My price limit is pretty low because I don't have a much money to spend. But this was SO worth the money. I went to the MAC counter looking for a good white pigment to wear with my Halloween costume (Eowyn from LOTR) as a highlighter. I wasn't really seeing what I wanted, but I happened to stumble across this little gem. It was less expensive, and ended up being exactly what I was looking for. I use this mostly on the inside corner of my eyes to make them look more open. It works amazingly well for this purpose. Plus, if I want just a hint of shimmer elsewhere, it's perfect to give a little sheen without a lot of color. This is definitely going to be repurchased.

Cleansers -Clinique - Facial Soap Oily Skin
rated 3 of 5
Miluiel 11/21/2007 1:36:00 PM

Definitely liking the cleansing... but not the smell. I use this as a part of the 3-Step System (along with Clarifying Lotion #3 and DDMG), so thankfully I don't have to smell it long. However, I do like the fact that it comes in a soap dish so I don't have to worry about it slipping all over the place in the bathroom (I'm living in a college dorm, so I share a bathroom with about 12 other girls... which can be really disgusting if you think about it). I also love how it lasts & lasts... I've been using it for quite a while now, and I've barely made a dent in either of my bar cleansers from Clinique (I alternate between this and the AS bar soap). For the money and the size, this is a fairly good deal.
