Lotions/ Creams -The Body Shop - Hemp Hand Protector

This is my HG hand lotion for the winter! I can't get enough it! Only need a small amount to moisturize my hands after washing hands, and it leaves my hands totally soothed and utterly soft. Some people don't like the scent, but I don't mind it. Smells like an earthy, patchouli scent to me. I keep a full size next to my bed to use before I go to bed, and a travel size in my bag for other times. My hands have never looked better!
Lotions/ Creams -Vaseline - Intensive Rescue Moisture Locking Body Butter

This has been great for my winter parched skin. I love that it sinks in beautifully and does not leave a greasy after feel. My skin feels moisturized and protected. The only thing I don't like is the scent, but it's not horrible enough to make me not purchase the product. One tub has lasted several months so the price is worth it.
Gels/Soaps -C.O. Bigelow - Mentha Body Vitamin Body Wash

I love mint - so this body wash was a real treat for me. It is definitely minty and I love to use it in the mornings to give me a little kick of refreshment. Definitely made the mistake of applying it to areas that need not be applied! I love the little exfoliating beads and the good lather. Overall, my favorite part is the minty smell and the refreshing feeling I get. Would definitely purchase again, but only in the summer months. Would be too much for the winter.
I have been using this blush for several years now; I have olive toned skin. I love it becuase it gives me a soft glow but doesn't go on chalky or cakey. I love that I can put on a little or a lot and it gives me the desired result. A compact does last a long time and cost me about $10 from CVS. I took off one lippie because it doesn't last all day...but I would definitely re-purchase!
Just bought this gloss and LOVE it. It was so hard for me to find a gloss that lasts, tastes good, and actually leaves my lips soft. This definitely does the trick. The color works and I get a beautiful matte shine. Will definitely purchase again.
Well, I got a little sample of this and like it a lot. It's very moisturizing--makes you feel very soft and lathers incredibly well. The smell is soft and sweet.
Lotions/ Creams -Bath and Body Works - Healing Hand Creme with Shea Butter
JewL 6/27/2004 8:52:00 PM
I just bought this in the coconut lime verbena scent and love it! I can't stop using it! The creme is very thick so it moisturizes very well but is not greasy at all. I love the scent and am so glad that it lingers and stays with you. All in all, this creme has worked wonders for my dry hands. I only wish it had an spf. I know the BBW Hand Protection lotion has an spf but I found that one to not help my dry hands very much.
Cleansers -Dove - Essential Nutrients Cleansing Pillows
JewL 4/20/2004 6:29:00 PM
I was in the store and saw these pillows on sale and had to give them a try. What a mistake! I just finished using one towel and I am incredibly disappointed in the results. I used my towel in the shower (so the steam would open up my pores). It certainly did "plump" up but there wasn't that much soap foam. In any event, I rubbed it on my face and the "textured" side felt abrasive against my skin (normal skin). It certainly did take whatever make up I had off. But that's where it tricked me. After washing my face, it just didn't feel right. My face didn't feel CLEAN...so after my shower, I dabbed some toner on my face with a cotton pad and was horrified to see how much gunk it had left on my face! The dove pillow not only missed more makeup but other dirt. The cotton pad was drenched with stuff my face was still covered with. This is a waste of money. Don't waste your time.
Gels/Soaps -Bath and Body Works - Sheer Freesia moisturizing bar soap
JewL 4/4/2004 9:50:00 PM
I love the scent of sheer freesia so I wanted to go ahead and buy the moisturizing bar soap. I am very impressed with this! It does not dry out my hands or skin at all and leaves it lingering with a light sheer freesia scent that I love. Would definitely recommmend this to anyone who loves the scent and is looking for a quick bar to keep by the sink. Also, I've had it for over a month and it doesn't seem to be depleting! The bar seems to last for a long time and for $3.50, it's a steal!
Oh my goodness! I have fallen in love with this lotion! I have spent so much $$$ on pricey lotions and cremes to moisturize my dry skin. I also have always looked for a lotion or cream for my dry, cracked feet. This lotion works wonders! First it has a wonderful light clean smell that is not overwhelming at all. Then, it is not oily and sinks right into my skin. It feels amazing. The most important thing is that I have seen an incredibly improvement in my skin in the last month that I have used this. My entire body is now dry anymore. And my feet! I used this on my feet for two nights in a row and noticed a remarkable difference. My feet are now soft and crack-free. I recommended this to my mom, who has diabetes, and she loves to use it on her feet too. She says its an instant pick me up for her tired feet and really helps them when they feel burning. I love this lotion!!!!!!
Treatments -Bath and Body Works - Wheat Germ Almond Reconstructor
JewL 4/4/2004 6:53:00 PM
It's hard to believe this is not a conditioner--because my hair felt incredibly conditioned afterwards. I, too, bought this for $5 dollars and used it today. The worked it through my hair and left it on for five minutes before washing it off. The first thing I noticed after drying my hair is that my hair felt amazingly SOFT. I have dark, thick, wavy hair and I use a straightening iron almost every day..so it does tend to be damaged. I have been using Aveda's curessence shampoo (My HG for damaged hair) but this almond reconstructor really does the job too. I haven't really felt or seen the shine that I get from Curesssence but it definitely leaves my hair softer. I will happily continue to use this.
Shampoo -Bath and Body Works - Botanical Nutrients-Yucca Aloe Purifying Shampoo
JewL 4/4/2004 6:47:00 PM
I just tried this shampoo for the first time today and was really impressed. It smells nice and really clarified my hair--I actually felt my hair and it felt clean. I bought it for $10 at BBW. The bottle is fairly small but it does do a good job of cleaning my hair of the buildup. I've been wanting to try Aveda's detoxify shampoo. Maybe I'll try it after I use up this bottle. But I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
Treatments -Aveda - Curessence- damage relief shampoo

I am in love with this! I have shoulder length thick hair that was excessively damaged from blow drying and using a flat iron to it. The aveda lady recommended I use this shampoo every time I wash my hair. I purchased it without the conditioner and am extremely pleased. It leaves my hair incredibly healthier and Full of SHINE!! I just washed my hair w/ this yesterday and could not stop touching my hair--it felt that good! Ever since I used it the flat iron seems to do less damage. My hair is just shinier and feels so much stronger. It took me a while to get used to the "woodsy" herbal smell..i'm used to and like floral scents more but after using the product i could care less what it smells like! I am amazed and will repurchase definitely!

don't buy--very overpriced. Does nothing special. Use cotton socks.
I love that this is alcohol free--it doesn't sting and is incredibly gentle. I was surprised to find such excess residue on my face from makeup even after cleansing. This toner left my face refreshed and clean. After a week of use, I've noticed my pores are smaller and makeup is going on smoother and staying on longer.
