Lotions/ Creams -Nivea - Nivea Soft Moisturizing Creme
IcyNocturne 8/16/2012 12:54:00 AM
I love this stuff! I bough this on a whim, because my skin was getting dry and a little rough, and also because themakeupchair reccomended it for dry skin. I didn't expect much, since it was relatively cheap, but it does a wonderful job! It is moisturizing, and it also absorbs relatively quickly, so you can use it under your makeup if you wish, however, you can also use it as a night time moisturizer if your skin is not very dry. When I used it, my skin became much more moisturized, and after onlly a few days, all the roughness and dryness to my ski was gone! My skin felt nice and soft! Would totally repurchase. <3
A great contour for fair skin. When applied correctly, it looks very natural and does a great job at sculpting your cheek bones or defining your jawline. Also, it is a lot cheaper than than other matte bronzers that have also been said to do a good job --- such as the Too Faced Chocolate Soleil, or Hoola by Benefit, or the Bobbi Brown matte bronzers. Good price, good quality.
This is THE most pigmented (black) eyeshadow I've come acorss --- and I got it for 3 dollars! Not expecting much, I just pressed very very lightly on top of the eyeshadow, and my finger was all black! The pigmentation is amazing and the staying power is great, and I barely paid anything for it! Love love love.
Eye Shadow -L'Oreal - HiP Concentrated Duo - Shady
IcyNocturne 8/3/2012 12:48:00 AM
I love this. First off, I have tried just about every single nude/everyday drugstore palette there is, everything from Maybelline to Revlon tto Almay Physcian's Formula, Covegirl. I've tried so many palettes/duos/trios, and I think I've finally found my HG! I am quite fair, and this duo does really suit my skin tone, I use the light shade as a crease shade to add just a bit of definition, and then I use the darker shade and press it into the crease, while lining my eyes and setting my eyeshadow. What I really like about this is that I can also use this to contour my face! The lighter shade mixed with a little bit of the brown shade makes a perfect contour shade for me, and I sometimes do that for touch ups or when I'm in a hurry in the morning and can't be bothered to reach for another product. It's pigmented, the colors are perfect for me, I love the cute little mirror that comes with it, and it's cheap! What more can you ask for?
Eyeliner -Urban Decay - 24/7 Waterproof Liquid Eyeliner
IcyNocturne 3/25/2012 8:24:00 PM
Since I usually mix high end makeup products and low end make up products in my daily routine, I find this (for a liquid eyeliner) to be quite expensive. However, it's definitley something worth buying. It is waterproof, and it doesn't smudge at all! I also really like the applicator, which allows me to draw on thin, precise lines. I have this in the color Demolition which is a very dark brown, and quite frankly, I love this product. (ouch on the price though)
This is a lovely, natural blush that comes in a flimsy package with a coarse brush. However, it is very cheap and looks lovely on me, therefore I really like this product. It's staying power is not the greatest though, and I might have to reapply this once throughout my school day, which is not bad. Overall, I really do like this product.
Lips -Revlon - Colorburst Lip Butter in Sweet Tart
IcyNocturne 3/25/2012 8:18:00 PM
This used to be one of my favorite lip products because of the colour. However, i have recently discovered that it doesn't really moisturize my lips. Although it gives a moisturizing feeling right when you apply it, I have found it has actually made my lips crack, and have made them dryer after a few hours of use, especially if I don't put any lip balm on. Of course, this depends on my lips' condition, my lips are naturally quite dry, but they can handle this lipstick when they are in very good condition. Still, that rules this out for daily use, because it is just too drying. Although I really like the colour, I am disappointed because this product did just the opposite of what it promised.
I put this on and my lips STUNG. They literally felt enflamed. Now, I'll admit here that I do have sensitive lips, but it's the first time my lips have reacted so strongly to a product. Definitley not ever using this again.
I really like this blush. It's creamy and easy to apply and blend. Rosy is a gorgeous colour. It just gives a really natural tint to my cheeks. Love love love.
Eye Shadow -Revlon - Illuminance Creme Shadow Quad - Not Just Nudes
IcyNocturne 2/14/2012 2:34:00 AM
I really like this quadrant. Irs really grown on me, and its something that I use everyday. A big reason is because of the colors.. I love the pretty. Warm browns!they give my eyes a warm blow...unlike other brown/taupe eyeshadows that look a bit ashy. Very blendable, and they don't crease or fade at all for me and I love that. Plus, the packaging is so cute. My only complaint is that they drqy up really fast I stopped.using them for a while, and they become really dry, and it took a few uses before they were soft and creamy again.
Lipstick -Revlon - Super Lustrous Lipstick in Twinkled Pink
IcyNocturne 2/14/2012 12:34:00 AM
My favorite pink lipstick. Everytime I use it, I get happy over how pretty it is. I am genuinely surprised by the negative reviews. Howver, this lipstick does dry my lips out if I apply a few times throughout the day. But it looks lovely on me so who cares :)
I have this in two colors, purple and black. At first, I liked my black eyeliner, so I bought the purple one... but I was so disappointed. In the few times ive used it, the purple pencil's lead broke twice while I was applying eyeline, making me jab the sharp wooden edge into my eye. This was my first pencil eyeliner when I first started out with make up, so I liked it at first but for m this is hard to applicate and it irritates my eyes and the color doesjt even stay on.
Eye Primer -Urban Decay - Eyeshadow Primer Potion - Original (UDPP)
IcyNocturne 2/9/2012 10:10:00 PM
The much-complained about packaging for this primer potion has already changed. I have the version that is sort of like a tube that has a thin applicator, which the product comes out from after you squeeze it. Although it's a bit pricey for me, I must admit this product works very well. It makes my eyeshadows look more pigmented, while preventing creasing. Anyways, great great product. Love this and would totally buy again.
Eye Shadow -Hard Candy - Kaleyedescope Baked Duo in Rush Hour
IcyNocturne 2/9/2012 10:06:00 PM
First of all, I love the cute packaging and the colours. I especially like the goldenish pink color. After I use Mac's Bare Study paint pot all over my lids, I really like using this color in my crease to contour my eyes. The pink really gives your eye a neutral, everyday romantic glow. Then, I use the dark brown shade on the outer edge of my eye and blend it into the crease just a little. Then, I use it to fill in my eyebrows and also to liner, before I tightline my eyes (with the maybelline gel liners). In my opinion, both the blendability and pigmentation could be better. Even with my brush wet, it's still hard to get the product onto my brush, and I have to continuously press my brush into the product to get enough color. However, this does last a very long time, and so far I've worn this to school daily with no creasing. So for that reason, and also for the great colors (and the cute packaging) I would totally buy this again!
I adore this. After reading all the reviews and watching gurus use this, I have decided to buy this product. Its everything I hoped for. A great neutral dewy sheen when applieqd to the lids, and it looks great for natural everyday looks, either by itself or as an eyeshadow base. I looove its creamy texture. Everything about this product is just perfect for me. Nevermind the $21 dollars it costs here in Canada.
