Cleansers -Giovanni - Purifying Face Cleanser (D:tox System)

Occasionally my psoriasis flares up on my face and I have a difficult time cleansing my irritated/inflamed skin. This is the absolute best facial wash I've ever come across. It soothed my skin and left my skin smooth, soft, and less pink. I also used to exfoliate once a week, but since I've started using this I haven't needed to. The smell is a little off-putting. It has a perfumey smell with a sooty undertone. It's not bad, but I did notice it. Overall I love this product! I was a huge Yes to Cucumber's fan, but now I'm switching to Giovanni (he has great shampoos and conditioners too).

Lip Treatments -Unlisted Brand - Oralabs Chap Ice Cherry Lip Balm

As far as lip balms go, this was pretty good. Application was smooth, slightly thick (but not gross-thick), there was no discoloration (some give washed-out look), and the scent was pleasant. Product applied nicely and soothed my lips. I wouldn't wear this under lipstick, but as a stand alone lip balm I liked it.

Cleansers -Yes To Carrots - Yes to Cucumbers Calming Facial Cleansing Gel

I decided I needed a change in facial cleansers since the weather was changing (and my skin was getting dry). Previously I used: Mario Badescu Orange Cleansing Soap and Burt's Bees Radiance. This was amazing! Texture was gel. I used about a finger tip dollop of product and lathered it on my palms before applying to face. Sensation was calming and refreshing. Scent was not heavy. Face felt clean and moisturized, with no irritation. Also no breakouts. I've been using it three weeks and I'm so happy I think I'll stick with this product for now. I found their "carrot" line too drying, so I'm surprised by how much I like the "cucumber" one.

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Eyestudio Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner - Blackest Black

My new favorite gel eyeliner. I bought this same kind of liner in "Eggplant" and it was a major disappointment. The "Blackest Black" is amazing, however, especially for the price. The color is rich and dark, and the application was nice and smooth. Product remained moist even after several weeks (most of my gel liners dried out fast!) I used this for winged eyes instead of liquid liner. The only issue I had was that if you touch your eyes it will smear (but that's really all eye makeup so no biggie). Also, it smears a little in hot weather. Otherwise, I loved it. I will definitely buy again!

Eyeliner -Maybelline - Lasting Drama Gel Eyeliner in Eggplant

Texture was nice and applied okay. The color "Eggplant" came out like a mild gray and took several applications to see any color. It's too sheer a color. When I put on eyeliner I want to see some definition to the lash line (which is the whole point of eyeliner!). While the "Eggplant" gel eyeliner by Maybelline was a disappointment, the "Blackest Black" was much MUCH better. On the plus side this is one of the few gel liner brands I bought that doesn't dry out quickly. I've had it three weeks and it's still smooth and moist.

Cleansers -Burt's Bees - Radiance Facial Cleanser with Royal Jelly

Smell was very mild and soothing. Texture of the product was smooth and medium thick (like hand lotion). It cleansed my face nicely without stripping it dry. Makeup was fully removed too (even eye makeup). This is one of my favorite cleansers for daily use (I'm also a fan of Mario Badsecu). After using the "Simple" product line I found my skin congested, dry, and uneven, so I needed a new cleanser ASAP. I feel my skin has improved in the two weeks I've been using Burt Bee's Radiance Facial Cleanser w/ Royal Jelly. I'm extremely happy with my purchase, and I will continue to use this in rotation with my Mario Badescu products.

Moisturizers -Unlisted Brand - Global Face Serum by Lina Hanson

Excellent customer service! I was curious about Lina Hanson's Global Face Serum after I read that Morena Baccarin uses it (she has such a beautiful complexion). I inquired about a sample, and they quickly mailed me one. I tried it out, and, well, now I'm a loyal customer :) It smells divine, it blends well into my skin ( it doesn't just sit on top like some oils), it's soothing, and it moisturizes my dry skin. I noticed an improvement in my complexion with use (evened out my skin tone). My makeup also applies evenly over it. I love it! Too bad it's so expensive! ETA: The packaging is very nice (dark glass bottle) with a nose pump (with a safety cap over it). Also, it survived the mail service! I received mine in a sturdy priority box packed with styrofoam peanuts, and the box the product itself comes in is also sturdy.

Eye Shadow -Revlon - Illuminance Creme Shadow Quad - Moonlit Jewels

Colors are beautiful, but it applied unevenly (i.e. it was streaky and needed the color built up). The texture was nice and creamy, but the application was so time consuming I wouldn't purchase this again. It had medium staying power (it wore off slightly during the day, but still passable without a touch up). I used this mostly as an eyeliner or for highlighting the inner corners of my eyes. This didn't offer good coverage over the enter eyelid, but as eyeliner along the lash line it was okay. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone though.

Blush -Maybelline - Dream Mousse Blush in Pink Frosting [DISCONTINUED]

Color was a medium pink in the pot and applied as a light pink on my skin. Texture was creamy and whipped, but it blended poorly. The shimmer is basically glitter, with more glitter, and then a fistful of more glitter :) So if glitter isn't your thing, I'd recommend passing. For a mousse blush this was a disappointment. I've tried others that blended better. "Pink Frosting" was definitely better than "Rose Petal," but I still wouldn't purchase this again.

Okay. This looked like someone smacked me in the face with a fistful of glitter lol It definitely shimmers :) The color appeared as deep pink in the pot, but actually applied a very light shade for me (almost couldn't see it). I felt "Rose Petal" was too subtle of a color for me. The texture was creamy and light, like a whipped mousse. It was difficult to blend, though, and needed reapplication throughout the day. I wouldn't buy this again.

I've tried the L'Oreal HIP Cream Eyeliner in Eggplant, I rated that one a decent three lippies. This, however, is almost like it's from a different product line (in a bad way). I found the product way too thick and it applied unevenly. I also found it smeared badly. I would never purchase this again.

The color was a medium-dark purple with no shimmer. Texture was thicker than I would've liked, but still workable. The brush that came with the product was complete junk (I used my own). Packaging was sturdy and I felt I could safely carry it in my purse or makeup bag without destroying it :) Now, about the staying power... When applied as a thinner eyeliner it was perfectly fine, looked great. When applied thicker (for a mod or winged look) it smears - everywhere! So this is makeup you definitely have to pull out your compact and check on through out the day. Overall, I liked it, and I would buy it again. A decent gel eyeliner.

Mascara -Almay - One Coat Mascara (Thickening)

I liked how this applied -- nice and smooth. The color really popped on me too. I loved it! It thickened my lashes well, but didn't add any length. Overall, I was impressed. It didn't clump, it didn't flake, and it stayed on through out the day. I would definitely repurchase!

I loved the color -- came out more like a warm brown on my lashes. It really pops! For lengthening, this did a wonderful job. I had mile long lashes! For thickening, I'd give it a medium rating. I already have long and thick lashes so this wasn't a big deal for me. It also made my lashes stick together so I needed to use an eyelash comb. Otherwise, I liked this for a change. I'm still sticking with my CG though!

Mascara -Cover Girl - Professional Waterproof Mascara

CG is my favorite brand for affordable mascara. I bought mine in "black brown." The color popped, my lashes looked longer and thicker, and I felt it wore well through the day. I did have some issues with it crumbling on my under eye area during application, but this did not happen during the day. The only real issue I had with this is that it's not waterproof. It will smudge and run when wet, so be warned. Otherwise, it's a pretty good mascara for lengthening and thickening.
