Lotions/ Creams -Unlisted Brand - Nip + Fab multi-fix oil
HeatherSung 1/2/2013 3:30:00 AM
i tested out the entire body line and would say i love the multi fix oil the most. The oil does leak a little but I am ok with it. Let's face it, it's oil, bound to leak a little here and there. Absorption is great. I use this at night before bed to massage my caves and tights, running along the lymph nodes. I have also tried this by the swimming pool on days when i forgot my sunblock and did not want my skin to dry out in the hot sun. I wouldn't advise using this as a suntanning product regularly.. and certainly dont think its right... but i must say that it leaves my skin with a fantastic glow.
I am an avid use of MAC and Bobbi brown gel liners. I had the chance to work with ELF Studio Cream Eyeliner #black before my company dinner yesterday night, on 8 of my colleagues. The product was provided by a colleague who bought the item out of impulse. This is by far the worst cream eyeliner I have tried! You get what you pay for. The consistency is VERY waxy and dry, which clumps on the angled brush that came with it.I tried using 4 diff other brushes ( MAC, Sigma, Etude house, MUFE) to draw dramatically winged cat-eyed liners on the ladies. It was almost impossible to achieve precision with this crappy product. NO, it was no way near MAC blacktrack fluid liner or Clinique gel liner as some reviews have claimed. I tried to warm up the formula on the back of my hand before application and it dries out so fast. I foresee this product drying out in the pot way before one is half way thru it. The colour pay-off is decent and would work better as an eye shadow base for smokey looks.
I am between MAC NC 30 to 35, shades 30 and 40 fits me well. Chanel foundations just never fails to impress me. I am juggling between 12 liquid foundies now across high end and drugstore brands. This product is by far is the BEST! It is super lightweight yet evens out my skin tone so well and provides flawless finish, with a satiny finish.coverage is sheer to medium. No white cast, photos real well. Blends well, the formula gave me sufficient time to apply and blend well before drying. I used Sigma F80 to buff out. This is exactly what i wanted Giorgio Armani luminous silk fdn to be. I always get good comments on my skin looking fresh, well rested, "you look different today" etc.. Granted that Chanel products are pricey but they do deliver good results. This particular fdn does have a slight chemical scent unlike the usual scent but its nothing too funky smelling, i can live with that. I also tried layering it with primer correctors from MUFE, Benefit That gal and YSL, it didn't ball up. Thumbs up! One major observation which bothered me til now was... the formula did slightly corrode my plastic sample jars when i decanted some out for travelling.
In general, this brand doesn't get enough love. The ingredients correct all kind of skin conditions. Regardless whether you have dry or oily skin, it normalises it. It improves texture, skin elasticity and ups the performance of other SKII products applied. The clear lotion is like water, but it works wonder. I have experimented with and without the clear lotion in my skin care regime and I SEE the difference. It is expensive but it works! Thus, I am putting up my travel sizes for swaps to share the love.
Eyeliner -Wet 'n' Wild - H2O Proof Liquid Eyeliner

RIS, we don't have wet n wild in Singapore and i was grateful that a nice MUA-er sent this for me to try out. OMG! the product is so affordable and it withstand tears, smudging in this humid weather. It's jet black, great for tight lining. Easy to remove, with little effort. It's even darker than MAC blacktrack. I am thinking pin up look.
When i heard it was an amplified nude, I simply had to buy it. AND the money goes to a good cause. The formula is different from my blankety and half n half which are both permanent amplifieds. Gaga 2 lipstick's formula is a sheer like creamsheens and feels creamy on the lips like an amplified. I have dark pigmented lips, and need to line my lips for the colour to truly show. Somehow, this product accentuates the flaws on my lips. It's like.. it finds the flaws on my lips and amplifies them. It's a dupable shade using creme d nude and freckletone.
It was not as pigmented as I expected it to be. The base is not very sturdy. I forsee the lipstick will snap / collaspe on me before i am half way thru it. For the price, the lipstick casing was quite tacky, nothing spectacular. dupe for MAC cream cup, Bobbi Brown Nude Beige #61 and YSL Rouge volupte #1.If you possess most of the highly raved nude shades, you ought to skip this.

pefect nude shade for tan skin. Also a great shade to tone down brights. Colour payoff is intense, smells great. NO funky taste. Light texture and not sticky at all, moisturising. The colour did streak and settle into the grooves of my lips slightly after 4 hrs. Overall, a very goos product!
Cleansers -Clarins - One-Step Facial Cleanser (with Orange extract)

I love this new formula. With 2 cotton pads, it removes my full waterproof makeup and stubborn waterproof mascara without stinging. The orange extracts perk me up. My face feels moisturised and cleansed. Despite the half oil - water formula, it does not leave a cloudy film in my eyes. I would say, the "oil" component is so light that i would have thought that the formula is oil free.
Scrubs -Boots - Mediterranean Almond Pistachio and Olive Body Scrub

I love the smell and the exfoliating grains. It is creamy and not messy to use. I use this once a week after my swim. A little goes a long way.
I am NC 40, with normal / oily skin. The product smells great, almost edible. The texture was light and very creamy. However, it took more than 20 min to settle on my skin and my foundations [liquid & powder form] still streaked. I would say that this product performed better as a moisturiser than a primer. Also, the primer carries a pink tint and it somehow neutralised my yellow based foundations to neutral shades. When i layered this under my neutral shade foundation, i turned either ashy or my foundation lighten by 1 shade. This product has its functions, perhaps great for those with cool skin tones and those who want to adjust their foundation shades during winter.
I have been using this for 4 years. I have a bottle on my office table which I spritz on my face when i am back from lunch. I have a bottle on my vanity table to set my makeup. I have a small spray bottle in my makeup bag to refresh my face. It hydrates my skin, sets my makeup, doubles as my "fix+" for pigments. Thumbs up.
My hands are like NC42. Love this opaque shade. it is easy to apply and one of my fav neutral shades.
Despite the cons, this is one of those highly raved product that I thought i HAVE to get my hands on. The packaging was sleek and handy. But after 1 week's of usage, the lipstick started tilting to the side, almost rubbing agst the side whenever i twist up the stick. From the tube, the colour looked fantastic. The perfect lip colour for smokey eyes. The texture was not as creamy as I had hoped that it would. It streaks on my lips no matter how i try to work it ,barely a buildable formula. I moisturised my lips well and still, the colour settled into the lines of my lips. In the end, i succeeded by topping it with a wash of NYX's circe round lipstick and MAC's Dazzleglass in Bare Necessity. Simply too much work for me. GOSH Darling or ELF Natural Nymph is a better dupe. Why do anyone even bother listing it as a "wish list only" item?!!
