This fragrance is almost identical to D&G Light Blue. I loooove this smell for when I feel casual and just want to smell clean and fresh. It is a light green citrus scent that sort of reminds me of a bit of fresh flowers, lemons and fresh cut grass. It definetly is very NATURAL smelling. The only minus is that it doesn't last more than an hour on me and I have to spray on quite a bit to smell anything. It is not a in your face smell and would probably not offend anyone around you that is allergic to scents. What I love about this is the bottle. It is a light blue and green and has a nice shape to it. It is a fragrance to wear in the day on the weekends and even to work. It isn't a heavy evening fragrance that smells elegant and expensive. I gave this a 3 because of the poor lasting quality.
Concealers -Neutrogena - 3-in-1 Concealer for Eyes

Normally I use a Body Shop under eye concealer but I needed something more creamy that covered some of the bluish hue under my eyes. This works amazing! I don't find that it's dry at all or that it cakes under my eyes. I have it in the Light shade and it covers well on those mornings that my eyes look a bit tired. I even use this around my nose, mouth and chin to cover up the redness.
This is the 3rd blush I own from Mark besides After Glow and Cameo Glow. This is one of their new blushes added for spring/summer. When you look at the colour in the package you might think it's a bit bright and orange but don't let that scare you. This is a matte blush with no shimmer from what I can see. I cannot rave enough about this colour! I have fair skin with a bit of freckles and when I put this on it makes my skin look so awake and rested and like I spent a few days in the sun resulting in a really believable colour. It does not look orange on my skin at all! My skin does not tan but this is a great colour to fake it. This is a great colour if you are trying to create a warm tropical makeup look for the summer. I also use a bit of Benefit's Coralista powder over top of this to give it some shimmer, however this blush looks just as nice on its own. This looks great just on cheeks but also a bit on the forehead and nose, chin looks amazing too! This one is definetly a keeper and will be a staple blush for the summer. After using this for a few months my only suggestion to other users of this blush would be to blend this very well and start with a light hand or it may end up looking a bit muddy.
The Mark eyeliners are the best! I have this shade and the Java and they both do not budge. I can put them on at 7am and late into the night it's still on my eyes and hasn't smeared under my eyes or up onto my eyelid. This shade is not your normal brown or black shade and is great if you want to spice up your make up a bit without going over the top. I love pairing this with an ivory shadow or a light peach shadow cause it really brings out my blue eyes. On me the colour is almost auburn. Not quite wine but not quite brown. The texture is very smooth and you barely have to touch it to your lashline to get results. No pulling and tugging.
Besides Glow , this is one of my Jennifer Lopez faves. I bought this at Walmart for really cheap without smelling it before. I got it home and sprayed it on and I love it! It's so feminine and classy with a bit of fruity smell to it. The bottle is gorgeous as well! This is very long lasting, as are most of Jennifer's scents. This scent is a bit more mature and elegant than Glow. I'm 30 and I know when I wear this I feel my age instead of a teeny bopper or that I'm walking around smelling like all the other girls/women.
So I caved in to the rave reviews on the shopping channel about this product and went out to Shoppers Drug Mart and picked up the kit. I have been using this now for 3 days and I would say I am a moderately satisfied customer. I have sensitive skin, prone to some redness around my mouth area and I have a tendency to break out when I start using new products that my skin isn't used to. So far my skin has not reacted by becoming more red, oily or breaking out..let's hope it stays that way. So here's my review on the powder foundation: Medium coverage. Doesn't look fake or cakey on my skin. Evens out my skin really quickly and takes the redness away around my mouth/nose area. My skin feels a bit dry/tight at first but disappears within a few minutes of putting it on. Bronzer powder: Not a big fan of this. I used it once the other day and when I looked at my skin in the mirror in my car it was shimmery all over my cheeks. The bronzer didn't even show up that much on my fair skin. Mosaic pink powder: I love this! It really wakes up my cheeks and makes me look like I just went for a long run outside. It's as close to my natural flush as I can get. I also use this as an eye shadow when I'm pressed for time. Brush: This comes included with the kit. It's an ok brush and I use it to apply my powder but I do not use it to apply the bronzer or blush as I look like I have round swirls of colour on my cheeks when I do. The texture of the bristles is odd and could be a lot softer..it just seems like it could cause irritation if you didn't use a light hand when applying the powders. So far Pur Minerals has not amazed me but I am not disappointed either. It's definetly a product to use if you want to cut down on the amount of time it takes to do your makeup application. I would not buy this product again simply because it hasn't really transformed my skin THAT much. I have used Avon's Mineral Foundation powder and got nearly the same results. I give it big points though for not causing me to break out and making my skin go haywire, as many products are not able to do that.
This is one of my go to fragrances that I recently rediscovered. My boyfriend bought this for me as a Christmas present in a gift pack with JLO lipglosses and body lotion. It is a scent that you have to get really close to smell and it lasts for a reallyyyyyyyy long time. Either you love this or you hate it, as the reviews have shown. For me it's very versatile because you can wear it during the day or at night. It makes me feel very sexy without coming on too strong, and is so soft, light and airy. It's a scent that lingers.... My boyfriend thinks this is the sexiest perfume and all his guy friends have bought the women in their lives a bottle of this haha.
Eye Shadow -mark - I-Mark Custom Pick Shadow -Tiki
Fridgie 11/1/2008 4:40:00 PM
This is the 3rd eyeshadow (along with Vintage Khaki and Whisper) I own from Mark and I love it! It's very pigmented and makes my blue eyes stand out so much. I love pairing this with Whisper (a pale ivory shade with a bit of shimmer). I normally apply this on my lid with pale ivory on the browbone with the Lash Plumping mascara. This shadow is very similar in quality to MAC or Clinique but for half the price. If you love shadows but don't want to spend a fortune pick up a few of these and you'll be hooked!
I am not that impressed with this quad. I have blue eyes and fair skin so the light turquoise shade and dark turquoise don't bring out my eyes at all, especially the light shade. They actually make me look kind of tired and do not have great staying power. I use the light peach colour the most and the dark brown colour because they compliment my eyes much better. I like using the shimmery peach colour alone with some olive or bronze eyeliner.
Concealers -The Body Shop - Concealer (Crayon Correcteur)

I have only used this product once and already I am sold. It is probably one of the more heavy duty concealers I have. I bought mine in shade 08 and it matches perfectly to my skin tone. I have a few spots to cover from previous zits and redness around my nose/lip area. This conceals all that perfectly without looking dry, cakey or obvious. If you are looking for a water based dewy concealer this is not the kind of concealer you should buy. I just take the pencil, dot it on the spot I want to cover and lightly pat it and blend it with my ring finger. You can't even see that I have it on. I also use my Lancome Effacernes concealer with it too to custom blend the color a bit more. After having used it only once I am amazed at how flawless my skin looks and the maximum level of coverage that it provides.
Cover Girl has really been outdoing themselves with their mascaras and with this one they have really outdone themselves. I have the Lash Exact, Volume Exact, Professional Mascara and this one and I LOVE all 4 of them! In fact they are my desert island mascaras and I would be lost in my make up routine without one of them. Lash Blast for me is the mascara that creates a more dramatic, glam, clean, clump free, dark, curled lash. I have it in brown black and for some reason it looks very black on me. My lashes are almost blonde and with some mascaras it just doesn't coat every lash. With this one it coats every one and I'm not left with one dark lash, one blonde lash or with the base of the lash with the mascara and the tips all clumpy. At first it's a bit tricky to use the brush because it's so big. Once you do figure it out you will see that it is made to really coat and curl every lash and does not clump. I can wear this for 10 hours and by end of day it's not all black under my eyes. It really opens up my eyes and makes me look more rested. When I wear this it is almost as if I have fake eyelashes on but they don't LOOK fake or spidery. I will definetly purchase this again and would recommend it to any mascara junkie!
This is my fave foody comfort scent that I own. However it may not be for everyone. I find the scent very complex as it goes through smelling like 2 or 3 different things on me before it settles. When I first spritzed it on me at Sephora I wasn't crazy about it as I found it very very strong and a bit nauseating. A little goes a long way! I smelled my wrist about an hour later and went back to the store to buy it! This is the one fragrance I keep coming back to..it's addicting! It's like cotton candy, caramel, vanilla and a dash of pepper all mixed in one fragrance. It's great if you just want a casual scent but also great if you want more sophistication. My bf hates the smell of perfume, but I have worn this many times and he has yet to complain about it. If you are looking for something that smells similar to this but is very cheap, try Yves Rocher Vanille Bourbon. where I'm from no one wears this scent because we don't have a Sephora store and dept stores don't sell it, so to me it's very unique and I don't feel like all my peers own it too.
Definetly the best bronzing powder out there! The price tag is a bit much but certainly worth it. As other reviewers have said, this is very pigmented. You don't have to grind this powder into your skin or you may end up looking dirty and too shimmery. Just lightly dip your brush into the powder, tap a bit off and lightly dust it on your skin. Start out with a light hand and build more colour if needed. I love the fact that there are 2 colours; a bright pink and a dark brown. Sometimes I blend the two together, other times I wear each one on their own or I will put the brown on first and then use the pink over top or under it to highlight. When I pair this with my Yves Rocher Bronze Nature self tanning moisturizer for face, this gives my light freckled skin a glow and I end up looking like I spent the day at the beach. I did notice however when I first started using this powder I was sort of grinding the colour onto my cheeks and I got a bit of a rash from it...maybe an allergic reaction , but I don't get it anymore since I've using a lighter hand. This bronzer does have a bit more shimmer than I'm used to but still gives amazing believable results. The con to this is the cheap brush that is included in the underneath compartment of the compact. I used it once and ended up with a stripe of colour on my cheeks. Now I use my retractable blush/bronzer brush with it.
Not my favorite eyeliner, in fact I rarely use it. The one I have has a brown colour for day on one side of the pot and a black colour for night on the other. It came included in a kit with the eyeliner brush that I bought from Smashbox. It's very easy to apply because it's creamy, but the staying power is mediocre. I don't understand what all the hoopla is about this... I use Clinique and Annabelle eyeliners and they stay on for well over 8 hours. This stays on maybe 3-4 hours on me and tends to smudge on the outer corner of my eye. i would not repurchase again.
Fragrances -Victoria's Secret - Vanilla Lace Silkening Body Splash
Fridgie 6/5/2008 6:20:00 PM
I love the smell of this! Definetly my fave vanilla scent and sooooooo long lasting too. I visited my cousin recently and asked her what she was wearing...it smelled so good. She told me it was by VS and I immediately went out and bought the shower gel, body lotion and body splash ,3 for $15! This is so long lasting for a body splash. It actually outstays the scent power of some of my expensive perfumes. I put this on in the morning and by mid afternoon I still get a whiff of it. Put on the body lotion too and it lasts even longer. The scent is so comforting and is really a wear all year kind of scent for any occasion.I have been reaching for this scent so much lately for really all types of events..dinner, movies, softball games, lounging around. It's not too vanilla or sweet and has a hint of musk to it. If you like foody smells then this is worth buying.
