at 40 I've been blessed with decent skin but I have started getting some slight wrinkles around my eyes and was worried that this foundation might settle in to them making me look older or in the very least my age and was pleasantly surprised when it not only didn't settle into my lines making me look older but actually did the job of the primer and smoothed out the lines and evened out the slight discolorations at my jawline .. a little dab will do your whole face so don't apply heavy handed... it adds a luminosity w/o that horrible sparkle they used to put in makeup for illumination.. when I used to check myself in mirrors during a night out I'd always get disappointed at how dull and tired I thought my skin looked after a few hours but from the time I leave the house to the time I crawl into bed it still looks fresh and bright.. very happy with the foundation and with the price! I feel for the ladies getting the cystic breakouts as I've had other products do the same to me knock on wood this isn't one of them!

Lipstick -Cover Girl - Lip Perfection - 405 Fairytale

I love these lipsticks from this Lip Perfection line, Enthrall was my spring/summer coral color and I was looking for something different to brighten up my face for fall/winter but really wasn't looking for a red so I went out on a limb and got this bright pink one,, i'm a pale blue eyed redhead and this color brightens my whole face w/o having to wear gad of other makeup,, lil blush, simple eye and shazaam! ,, unlike the other color I had this one does seem a little drying so either applying a balm before or after does help,,, it DOES stain which is you don't want that could be an issue but if you're like me and feel entirely jipped by a product that fades this sucker will last,, in fact the color stains so well really all you need to pack is a balm if you're packing light to go over and keep it moist.

The colors are quite vivid and there is a large selection of them, they go on smoothly and do have a sheen when applied,, they do leave a stain and will stain your fingers, if you aren't careful your face, your coffee mugs,, while I do like a stain I was hoping the moisture would last which for me anyhow it didn't and I was simply left with the stain and dryness , normally I'd just slap a lip gloss over it once it dries out BUT for $25 I was expecting a bit more , if I want just a stain I'll stick with the drugstore brand stains and my cheapo lip gloss... the older I get the more moisture I need or my lips end up looking like an elephant's a@4 if I wear anything dark.

Ran out of Visionaire which I didn't find did anything for me at all and really didn't want to spend the zillion dollars to buy it again so I picked this up at the grocery store ,, been using it for a week and my skin looks a million times better than it did using the whole bottle of expensive crap! It looks even and fresh and bright and tighter.

Feel is nice BUT after using a whole bottle night and day I was unimpressed with the results compared to other products I've used and will save myself the extra 70 bux by going back to Youth Code or something similar.

Nearing 40 I have decided to pamper myself a little more than I have in the past and this was my first "high end" aka overpriced makeup buy, unfortunately it didn't live up to it's hype , it's gone by mid day and it seems to really settle into and exaggerate my lines/pores. In other words i have used better drug store foundations for half the price.

I do a hardcore workout 3-4 times a week in the am and other more expensive deodorants just couldn't keep up and I was left feeling really self conscious after working out or just going somewhere where I knew I'd be sweating,, I thought the tropical paradise scent sounded nice and summery so that's why I bought it BUT this stuff WORKS , I'll buy another scent when this runs out for fall but I'm hooked on the Suave 24 hour invisible solid,, and it's cheap to boot! Like another reviewer said it isn't invisible so you do still have to take care when slipping things on that you don't have it on your shirt or dress but it's something I can certainly live with for the protection.

Hair Color -L'Oreal - Sublime Mousse

Tried this is dark copper blonde,, the picture on the box is quite similar to what my hair usually looks like { I've been coloring for 16 years or so } so I thought I'd give it a go.. luckily I can get away with garish colors because the color I ended up with was VERY orange, not copper but orange , I got a few compliments on it BUT it also faded quickly and to a very uneven strawberry blonde/ashen so I won't use it again.

Blush -Cover Girl - Instant Cheekbones Contouring Blush - Peach Perfection

For some reason I always avoided peach anything,, BUT this was in my color match bit so I picked it up and wow.. I do have have instant cheekbones.. and here is how I use it,, I take the little brush that comes with it and when i'm making a fish face I brush the darkest shade in the hollow indent bit and sweep up towards my ears and blend a lil with my fingers and then I take the lightest shade and making the same fish face brush it on the very top rims of my cheek bones the arch and lastly I take a big fluffy brush and smiling brush the middle shade on my apples and up towards my hairline/ears , it looks fantastic and the colors are buildable if you like your blush lighter or darker , I had been using bronzer for the indents but with this it's the contour , highlighter and main blush in one pan so easy to use and carry.

I hate to break the great review chain but I had this shampoo and conditioner and I've never had more tangles and breakage before than I did when I was using this. My search for a great product that protects my color and nourishes my hair continues.

Hair Color -John Frieda - Precision Foam Color

Add me to the purple hair group.. I was curious about the foam colors but there is such a limited number of reds or in my case copper reds.. I found this is light red brown and the pictures on the box seemed to be very close to what I normally have so I grabbed the box and home I went.. as far as mess goes,, I actually think I somehow made more of a mess with the foam and I knew about halfway through the application that I was in trouble when the foam started to turn purple.. but like a good pooper I cleaned up my mess and waited for it to work it's magic,, rinsed , conditioned and dried.. and viola I had very dark , very burgandy hair,, my son told me it made me look younger..lol but I won't be using again. Luckily it does fade rather quickly and 2 weeks later my beloved copper is back..

While out looking for a new warm weather perfume I sprayed a bit of this and thought it wasn't horrible so I bought the perfume, matching lotion and the spritz.. after using them I realize I really , really like the scent , it reminds me of summertime when I was little, something in my mother's garden perhaps or something blooming wild ,, I've also gotten quite a few male compliments I think because while it's floral it isn't stuffy or snooty ,and who doesn't find the sweet smell of summer nights to be sexy?

After months of eyeing it at the store I finally bought this in Feline which was one of my color matched shades,, I actually really like color matching that product companies offer because I really don't know crap about makeup.. thankfully I'm not too hard to look at without it.. lol... Anywho.. I love the texture,, it's smooth and not heavy ,, it's what I would call radiant,, not frosty ,, frosty to me is an 80's lipstick thing,, if you remember 80's lipstick you know FROSTY,, it's a springy shade of pink but not too bright as to clash with my hair , this will def be coming out of my lipstick pocket often . I find the older I get the more I like lipstick that's light on the lips as opposed to thick which tends to settle and form lines in my lips that otherwise aren't there even w/o makeup..

excellent mascara! I wear contacts and my eyes are super sensitive, typically by the end of the day I'm constantly at my eyes because of the clumpy, flakey, overly glittery crap. I have naturally long lashes but they're pale and this makes them nice and thick and really makes my blue eyes stand out,, I use the brown black to avoid looking harsh. If I'm tired this and everything else will smudge a little but it's nothing I can't touch up with a quick swipe of powder.

Liquid -Maybelline - Instant Age Rewind Eraser Treatment Makeup

I wasn't sure about the eraser part the first time I tried it , seemed a lil hokey to me but I actually really like using it,, it's so soft and you simply "erase" it on and then I do blend a little here and there with my fingers ,, I wear this over Covergirl Simply Ageless primer and my skin looks amazing for the better part of the day. Couldn't be happier!
