I love this toner. Its really helped my oily skin. And, it helps to shrink my pores. I usually use this at night time and I always wear SPF. It is a bit expensive for toner, but its lasted me about a year. I purchased this during the Friends and Family discount frenzy in 2005. I have about 2 inches left of it, and I recently purchased another bottle during the FF2006. Although I admit I didn't use it everyday... maybe average of 4 or 5 times a week. I believe that is still a great amount!

The only thing that I don't like is that white foam crust that starts to form around the top of the cap. What the heck is that?

I would definitely reccomend this product to someone with oily skin or big pores. It stings a little at first, but I'm used to it. Its actually refreshing once you do get used to it.

I bought this after many people recommended it. I am in love!! It makes my skin glow and helps a lot during TOTM. The bottle lasts a very long time. I will buy again once I run out of this.

I have gone through two bottles of this toner, and was on the fence about its overall effect on my skin, so I discontinued use. However, I recently picked up another bottle, and I'm about halfway through...and it's giving my normal skin a patch of nasty dry flakes where I do not otherwise have them. :-( So, if it wasn't drying me out I would keep it, but my skin can't handle it. However, if you are not prone to dry patches, give this a try, as it made the rest of my face smooth. Pricey but worth a try if you have problem or oily, non-sensitive skin.

Amazing. Simply amazing stuff. If you're really serious about skincare ingredients and improving your own skin then you'll love DDF. I've always struggled with minor acne issues, oiliness in the T zone and clogged pores and have used just about every skincare product on the market. High end, low end, prescription, you name it. One of the few things that has really kept me clear, glowing and smooth is DDF's glycolic toner. It has completely minimized my large pores and milia (tiny bumps under the skin), slowed down my oil production (without drying me out, mind you) swept away most of my blackheads and flakey skin patches, and really helps to prevent hormonal blemishes. I will never be without this product! I use it at night sometimes WITH retin A and wake up to beautiful, even, smooth skin. No complaints about stickiness, smell or irritating side effects. I would recommend that you use it at night after cleansing and use a sunscreen during the day. If you're unhappy with your skin PLEASE give this toner a try. It's wonderful!

I tried this after reading several reviews, and I am so glad I did! This toner not only removes all traces of makeup and oil, but it gently exfoliates my skin. I've always fought with breakouts, and since using this toner, they're a lot easier to deal with! If I do have any breakouts, they are gone by morning! I've not had any problems with it overdrying my skin, but even so, I usually limit my usage to nightly. The price is a little high, but with my once-daily use, it seems to be lasting quite well.

As a word of caution, this toner may not be good to use along with a glycolic acid cleanser:
I have Combination Skin with a very very Oily t-zone. I started using this toner along with a glycolic cleanser. My skin did purge a little a first, but i could tell it was really getting into my pores. It is a very strong toner. But after about a month of use, my nose (and some on my chin and forehead) began to peel and flake. Some peeling on my nose left a very red and sensitive spot. Since i love my DERMAdoctor cleanser I decided to try a lighter toner from SkinCeuticals - So, overall i am sure this is a great toner but you have to be careful what other products you use with it!

hi, i initially hated this product due to the stench, which is skunk-like. unlike other lines, ddf didn't shell out the money for perfumery. another down point is the packaging. you must keep the lid on after use. if it knocks over, it'll spill out for sure. nevertheless, this product works. i have very oily, acne-proned skin, large honkin' pores that require a lot of declogging the 'ole pipes every couple of days, making the upkeep of my skin a horrendous chore. but ddf really helped declog my pores and it smoothed & brightened my skin just after one use. gosh. i almost returned it to nordstrom b/c of the smell. as long as you can get passed the funk, it's well worth it. admittedly, i don't use it everyday...maybe a couple days on, then a couple off. on those off days, i simply & strictly rehydrate & my skin looks so much smoother & glowey b/c of this particular regimen. this toner does feel sticky/tacky as do most glycolic acid solutions, so i strictly wear this stuff before bed & then apply my usual pimple cream (proactiv) as needed. as for the price, it's relatively inexpensive @ $25 for a huge bottle that'll last for what seems like forever!

When I first began to use this toner, it made my skin extremely oily and it made my skin breakout badly. I was completely turned off. However someone told me that upon intial use your skin will purge and eventually it will clear up. Ladies and gentlmen, that's exactly what happened. Ive been using it every night for the past couple of weeks and my skin is in better condition. This product does not dry out my skin even though it contains alcohol. I like it and I wil repurchase.

I love this toner - if I don't use it, my skin doesn't have the same glow. Not to mention - the acne comes back. I use it every night, but I have super oily skin.

The first time I tried it, I broke out horribly. So I stopped. However, for some reason, I took it up again and stuck with it. So glad I did - my skin has not been this smooth in a long, long time.

This didn't do anything much for me. I began using it daily and it quickly dried out my combo skin. So now I only use it every few days on my nose, chin and forehead. It seems to temporarily shrink my pores but otherwise...

Hell yes I'd buy this again despite it's price. I was getting heinous breakouts on my jawline and my facial lady said I needed exfolilation. I thought she meant scrub-type things but no: she meant some fruit acids, glycolic stuff. Did some research and found that this and juice beauty's fresh apple peel were exactly what I needed. This stuff can be a bit harsh at first but now my skin is clear. I have zero brand loyalty and like to try all kinds of products but this one I travel with and have an extra bottle in case one gets swept away by a twister or worse. I can't deal with my skin without this product, and I rather like the packaging.

I've been trying this product for about 3 weeks now and decided to buy it because of the reviews I read on this site however, I get a stinging feeling around my nose. Also, maybe I'm allergic to the ingrediants in this product because I have broken out BADLY. I used this after I washed my face with DDF's Blemish Foaming Cleanser and since I've started using it my face has broken out into these huge pus-filled zits! In the last couple of days I've started bleeding from them. So, I have stopped using these products and will be going to the Dermatologist tomorrow. I'm even ashamed to go anywhere because of how badly my face looks.

Love love love this toner! I had been using ACV but it didn't seem to be doing much and I couldn't stomach the smell any longer. So glad I found this product. It really helps keep my skin smooth and breakout-free (used in conjuction with Retin-A micro). Not too drying for my combo/oily skin and leaves skin feeling fresh and tingly but does not sting or burn.

The best thing this stuff has done for me is cut down on shine on my forehead. It also seems to have reduced breakouts. But I really wanted it to fade my acne marks on my cheeks and it hasn't done that after two months of nightly use. The worst thing it has done is dry out the skin around my mouth and nose, so I have cut down to only using it on my forehead and cheeks, where my skin is oily. Overall I would buy it again, because I feel it does more good than harm.

This started out so well - really noticed a difference on my scars and skin really seemed to glow. Unfortunately, after a couple of weeks of using it, skin just seemed to have a mad reaction - crazy, painful breakout. Can definitely never ever use this on my skin again.

This was just so-so for me, yet I'd buy it again. It's the only product that has had even the slightest effect on my skin. I could probably scrub my face with sandpaper and not irritate it, and no product ever has any effect on my oiliness and large pores. This toner did nothing for those problems, nor did it reduce my fine lines as stated on the bottle, but it does make my skin feel smoother, softer and makes it look a little bit less dull. It was not the miracle product I was hoping for - I'm the only one who can see and feel a tiny difference in my skin. But even that barely perceptible change is enough to keep me buying it. Until I find something that really revolutionizes the way my skin looks, I'll stick with this. One more point: not sure if I got a bad bottle or what, but it leaks everywhere even if I close it tightly and put the cap on, leaving a white cakey residue in my travel bag. I'd suggest pouring a little into a travel-size container to prevent leakage if you plan on going anywhere.

I'm really liking this toner. Using it almost daily for 2 weeks, it has evened my skin tone, faded old red marks and kept new blemishes away. For me, this replaces Paula's Choice AHA gel, since it seems more effective w/o any problems: No irritation/redness, though I haven't used it every single day, so maybe that's part of it. Will definitely buy again.

I bought this product last year on the advice of MUAers. The first time I applied it, I broke out... got these terrible, tiny, white bumps. I chalked it up to hormones. A few months later, I tried it again and the same thing happened. A third time, it happened. I was ready to toss it but decided to write about it on the boards here. A few people told me that you are supposed to "purge" after the first application. So, one week when my skin was already broken out, I used the toner. Sure enough, I broke out even more. But I kept using it. I had terrible skin for about seven days. Tnen, the bumps began to clear. I started using the toner every other day (at night), and I am now a complete convert. This toner is a skin saver. Now that I use it regularly, I break out less frequently and my skin is in better condition. It even helps to clear mild acne. I am very surprised and very glad I asked for help on the boards!

After thinking that I don't 'need' this toner when I finished the 2nd bottle, I found myself looking for one again. I don't use it as prescribed - twice a day, cos I prefer a more moisturising and soothing toner, but from time to time, when I don't want to bother exfoliating my skin, I'll sweep this toner on my skin with a cotton pad. It has a cleansing and refreshing effect that no other toners do as well. And for a clarifying toner with 10% acid, this toner is surprisingly gentle.
