i actually purchased all 4 of the colors that they have. i personally find that navy and black wear better than dark brown and wine. the pigmentation of these liners are very good! i would definitely repurchase the black and navy, not so much the wine or dark brown. i wouldn't repurchase wine because the color didn't really impress me because i prefer a blue based purple over a red based purple, and i wouldn't repurchase dark brown because i've never been much of a brown liner type of girl.
the brush this comes with actually works good. it's not too stiff, yet not too flimsy. i was actually really surprised by this. so yes, you CAN actually use the brush it comes with to apply your gel liner.
you get more product with this brand than any of the other gel liners on the market, plus it's the most inexpensive brand out there. you get 5 grams of product from this gel liner, where as l'oreal HiP gives you 4.5 grams, stila gives you 4 grams, and fluidlines give you 3 grams.
this gel liner did not last on my waterline as well as my indelible gel liner, but it didn't completely disappear either. it didn't smudge, run, or flake which is always a good thing. it doesn't fade on my lash lines, just my waterline. overall, this is a really good product especially for the price. i will be repurchasing the black and navy colors.

so--i tried it, and it was just okay, the cons of this is, that fact that, it faded on me turned a dark grey color and the it smudged on me.

Gel/creme liners will run you from eleven to twenty-odd dollars - depending on the brand. Jane, however, has recently come out with a mineral gel liner that is under ten bucks. Woo!
When I first opened up this little pot, I felt let down. The product didn't look soft and moist like most gel liners do. In fact... the product looks like a hardened puddle from a melted black crayon.
But first impressions aren't the bottomline, final results are. Once I got this product on my brush, I was surprised at how smooth it was. It isn't as creamy or soft as a Fluidline or an HIP liner, but it spread beautifully and sets lickity-split.
I think it would be interesting to note that I sometimes accidentally get a bit of product on my contact lenses when applying gel liner to my waterline, but I never have this problem with Jane's. Maybe because the texture is less sticky.
My favorite thing about this liner is that it is the only liner I've encountered that is truly water-resistant. Please not that water-resistant isn't water-proof. It does FADE a bit when exposed to water and rubbing, but that's far better than smudging everywhere or flaking, no?
You'd think that because it is water-resistant, that it has amazing staying power, right? Well, not really.. Don't get me wrong, it's not BAD, but it starts to fade noticeably from my waterline in about three hours and after eight hours, I do start to get raccoon eyes. I knocked off one lippie because of that.
I'll stick with my HIP, but keep this for days when I plan to be in contact with water. I will probably repurchase again if I'm short on cash. It is a great alternative!

"Wow" That is literally what I said after I tried this stuff out. It was the easiest cat eye I have ever done. The brush is of surprisingly good quality and the product itself is amazing. I bought black which is a nice creamy true black. The brush lets you get really close to the lash line and the eyeliner glides on easy and dark. Sheesh, I would have saved soooo much money on eyeliners if I would have known about this stuff earlier. Its supposedly water resistant which I will put to the test. You do not need to use much product even for a heavy cat eye effect so this will probably last me many months. So glad I picked this up today, THANKS LADIES!!!

OMG! I love this Gel eyeliner. I can't believe it was only $5.99 at Walgreens. I love it more than Bobbi Brown. H.I.P. doesn't even come close in comparison. I bought the shade Wine. It comes with a small natural hair brush that works perfectly. I am going back for the other shades. The gel is actually a gel. Not a cream like texture passed off as a gel. This is my new HG eyeliner.

Want a sultry, not too dramatic but not too light , glorious, perfect for all occasions amazing consistency eye liner? Run, don't walk to your local DS and buy this stuff up at the current price ( 5.99) before Jane realizes how low that price is and hikes it up! Even the brush it comes with is superb, albeit a little small. Gave me the most glamorous cat-eye I've ever tried, and the navy blue simply POPS off of my eyes, setting these glam greens into a state of such perfection, I'd almost envy myself. The colors are intense , but not overwhelming, so don't fear the "I look like I was playing with Mommy's Makeup" effect. I look like I should change my name to Jezebel, and become a lounge singer who wears high heels to bed, in the best way possible.

As the other reviewers stated, I was also shocked to see a gel eyeliner for six bucks, and had to try it! I purchased the wine color from Walgreens since it's a color I don't currently have from MAC or BB. The color is a deep purple, and it applied smoothly and stayed on, even in the 100 degree heat spell we've had here. The brush is okay too, much better than any drugstore brush I've used! I'm going back for the black too, at this price, who wouldn't? Love it!

I was at walgreen and could not believe my eyes, gel liner for only 6 bucks no way. so I purchased the brown. I love it I currently have the hip in black and brown and for some reason my brown is starting to dry out. compaired to the HIP line I really like how the jane product just glided on my eyes. staying power is great. this is a wonderful product to start out with. Jane has really grown with thier product line. for this price I will be getting the other three colors. You get a good amount for the price.

Jane Be Pure Mineral Gel Liners come in four colors: Dark Brown 01, Navy 02, Wine 03, and of course Black 04. They retail for $5.99. I Purchased mine at walgreens, as they were buy one, get one free. These eyeliners come in a glass jar with a sliver screw on cap. The net weight is 5g/.17 oz.
Obviously the price for these is completely fantastic. Really, you can't for wrong spending six bucks on a gel liner that can cost anywhere from $10-$18 in a high end brand.
While the color choice is quite small, the colors that are available are staple colors that everyone should have. I purchased all four and immediately swatched on my hand. the color payoff was truly fantastic and the consistency was so smooth and cool. You can easily get a straight line without dragging across your eye. I do think though that the black and brown colors are a bit more smoother than the other two colors. The Navy and wine ones seem a litle bit drier in consistency, but still extremely smooth and easy to apply.
I applied the navy color on my waterline at around noon and it was still there at 11pm. It stayed just as well as any of my mac fluidlines ever have and you get a lot more product for a cheaper price.
I was extremely surprised by the brush that came with the liner. I thought it was just going to be a crappy brush, like with the HIP creme liners, but i was pleasantly surprised. The brush hairs are almost exactly like the hairs from my 263 MAC brush and it applied the eyeliner almost exactly the same way, the only real difference being the cut of the angle on the brush.
I will definitley be replacing most of my mac fluidlines with this Jane replacement. If i could give more lippies for this product, i would. They are utterly and completely fantastic.

I bought this eyeliner in hopes of finding a cheaper alternative to my beloved BB gel eyeliner. I really like it so far. The gel is really smooth and glides on easily. It lasts all day without smearing underneath my eyes and without fading. The brush it came with was decent. Gave me a nice straight line. Hopefully they'll come out with more colors (I have this in black). I don't think this will replace my BB e/l but this is a nice alternative for the price.
***EDIT***: I've been reaching for this e/l everyday for a month now which, for me, is unheard of. This has replaced my BB e/l. I ran out and bought all the colors and I absolutely love them. I can buy 3 of these for the price of one BB and I find the quality even better.
