For my combination skin(oily T-zone, normal everywhere else), this product is great! It lathers well, and my skin was left clean, oil free, and comfortable, not tight at all. It's nice to have one bar that can do all of this, since I was used to doing the Clinique foaming face wash, followed by the bar soap. I won't be going back to that since this leaves my skin glowing and healthy for a quarter of the price and half the effort! I took off one lippie because I had to do some serious rinsing to get all of the lather off. Thank you MUA users for your great reviews on this cleanser:) UPDATE: been using this bar for over a month now and still loving it - woo hoo!

It gets my face very clean and lathers very nicely, but a bit too drying. It seems like it helps prevent zits better than the liquid cleanser. It did sting when it got in my eyes. Update: I now use Paula's Choice cleanser for n/o skin.

Ok, I am on a budget, and all of the other drugstore cleansers that I have tried (dozens) break me out. Usually, I can only use the gentlest and richest cleansers (chanel and clarins), but for some reason this soap works perfectly for me. It is so cheap. The only drawback is that it stings if you get in your eyes and the bar becomes ugly (cracked) after only a few uses.

This is an average soap that is nice to use for gentle cleansing. I use it on my 11 year old daughter and my son when he gets a dry spot. Nothing special here but it cleanses nicely without stripping the skin or breaking me out.

this is great. I bought this because my face was going crazy from pure zone's cream cleanser. by the way don't every try it. well anyway I used this and my face calmed down right away. it also cleared right up. I also notice that any zits I do get are really tiny and go away fast. I really love this and recommend it to anyone with oily or acne prone skin. It also removes all of my makeup.

You really can't get any more simple than this product. It was recommended to me by a dermatolgist years ago when I was on acne treatments and I continually go back to it whenever I run out of liquid cleanser. It smells great, gets rid of all the icky oil and dirt and leaves your skin fresh and tight (probably not for those with dry skin but awesome for the oily girls out there). I love it. Only downside is, it doesn't remove mascara very well so you need a separate product for that.

My HG cleanser. I can't live without it. My derm suggested Purpose cleanser (liquid) which I was happy enough with but I received a sample size of the bar in a swap and fell in love. Since using it blemishes have severely decreased and my pores have never been cleaner. Doesn't leave my face feeling stripped or tight either. Perfect for my combo skin. A huge bar is like $2.50 and will last at least a couple of months with twice daily usage. I will never go without this.

What a great cleanser! I bought this product to use in my acne.org regimen. It's a gentle, mild cleanser that still gets the job done. I have fairly oily skin and unlike many other cleansers, this one actually leaves my face feeling CLEAN and OIL-FREE. It also takes off every last inch of makeup. It lathers great and rinses off easily with no residue, leaving my face radiant and squeaky-clean (without feeling dry)! In addition, the bar is huuuuge. This will last me months and months...for what you pay for, you get a lot. I've finally found my HG cleanser! =)
NOTE: This product stings like crazy if you get it in your eyes, so just make sure to keep your eyes closed at all times when you're washing your face with this!

I absolutely love this product!! It is the best for acne prone oily skin. It cleans but doesn't strip your face. It leaves your face feeling soft. This is my favorite face wash(bar) of all time! This product was recommended by a Dermotologist to me. The price is pretty cheap too! I totally recommend this product to oily skin users and others as well!

I have used this for over 7 years and I have nothing but great things to say. I have tried everything cetaphil offers and it always leaves me feeling not 100% clean. purpose doesn't leave a film, its cheap, its fantastic. never clogs pores! It's the best!

I have to say that this face wash was a face saver for me. It made my oily skin calm down and it never caused any red spots after washing. Can be a bit dry for dry-normal skin. But I love it.

I is the same as the gentle cleansing wash but in a bar form. Your skin feels clean without feeling dry. I like the gentle cleansing wash better because it is more sanitary. But I also like this as a bar soap but it is pretty expensive if you use it for that.

well-- i bought the orange-colored, clear bar.

it was gentle, but a little more drying than the liquid version. (my fave is still their creamy cleanser). but , this does do a great job at cleaning my eye-make-up. (but don't get any in ur eyes---it burns!!!). so it's a little stronger and u'll need lotion afterwards, but it's still great.

My dermatologist told me to use this and I'm not displeased. This is so gentle and non-drying which is what I need since I'm using topical meds. It also lathers well and actually takes off my eye makeup. I like this better than the liquid version, which I used a few years ago. Big rave from me.
