I am an NC 30 in MAC and got matched with a 3.0 by a Sephora lady for a sample, though I think it is slightly too light for my skin. I will most likely buy the full-size product in 4.0.
I am an avid tinted moisturizer user, but I got tired of looking oily after only a few hours even with powder. Needless to say, I LOVE this product. I love the natural-looking demi-matte finish this product gives and that this is a true buildable light to medium coverage foundation. It's great for everyday-usage and I'm not oily by the end of the day...and I don't even need powder. Definitely a great step out of my comfort zone of tinted moisturizer.
On a side note, I love the coloring system for this product. Whole numbers have yellow/neutral undertones while the .5 numbers have slightly pink undertones. It's pretty simple and I love that there is a wide range of colors to match many skin tones.

Love it, love it, love it! I've been aching to try this since I started hearing about it, but we've only just gotten a UD in my local mall. I had considered just ordering a bottle online, going by the foundation finder on their web site. I had guessed my best match to be 1.0, and the main place I order makeup from was out of that color (you can't buy anything off the Urban Decay UK site). So I pouted and ordered some MAC Studio Fix in the meantime.

Boy, am I glad I wasn't able to order this online! My match actually ended up being the 5.0, which looks fantastic on me and covers wonderfully. I let her do my entire face and it's been on about 3.5 hrs. now and I still don't feel like I have anything on and the coverage is holding up well. Will def. repurchase when the time comes!

Generally, i don't like spending money on foundations since most of my experiences have been average at best. I feel like if i spent money on foundation and it sucked, then i'll be stuck with all that product forever...I think i've only used about 5 foundations - lioele BB cream, mac tinted moisturizer, covergirl clean, shisedo and laura mercier TM. All of those have led me to look for certain qualities in foundation, mostly to compliment/hide dry skin instead of emphasizing or aggravating it. Out of those i like the shisedo and laura mercier, both for its light feeling consistency and didn't emphasize dry spots. During this time, i was suffering from an allergic reaction from sunscreen so i felt really ugly and itchy. Not that this solved it but it just helped me feel better about myself. I was going without foundation or on my really bad days, just wear the laura mercier tm but still it was bumpy or dry looking :(
So one day i was hanging out with boyfriend and the allergic spots were flaring up for some reason, probably from being in the sun. I was like you know what, i'm looking for a new foundation anyways (but after my skin healed) and went to sephora. The SA was really nice and even recommended a serum to help out the dry spots (caudalie but i ended up using clinique). She put some on my face and gave me a sample. I wore it the whole day and my boyfriend kept complimenting me, saying it didn't even look like i was wearing anything. I liked the feeling, light but definitely something on. Medium coverage. Now that my skin is healed, it goes on smoothly. I liked the idea of a primer inside already, since i'm usually lazy about primers unless my skins really bad. 4 is also the perfect color for me, none of my other foundations had that perfect match, almost but not as good as this one. I was hesistant in spending on a foundation like i said, but i went to portland over the summer (no tax!) and just went for it. Also when i removed it, my skin didn't feeling irritated.
I'll definitely buy again, hope this helps.

I don't love this or hate it. It's just alright. I like that I was able to match my skin, for some reason I usually have a hard time. It goes on light but is build able. It feels very lightweight, which is nice. I would say this is great for everyday use but if you plan on a night out then I would suggest something heavier. I have dry skin and this seems to sit well on it without drying my face out or look greasy. I will probably buy this again, unless I find something else that catches my eye.

I love this foundation, so far best I have ever tried. Looks natural, stays on all day, provides medium coverage, good color match, doesnt looks cakey, or too greasy. Overall would recommend it.

This is a wonderful foundation. I have tried several high-end foundations (NARS, MUFE, Dior, Mac) and truly believe I have found the one! It blends nicely when applied with a foundation brush and I only need half of a single pump which covers my whole face/neck nicely. It does not have the cake-face side effect, but has a natural and believable finish. No offensive odor and the packaging is lovely.

The only down-sides are the pricing, but I believe that if you are using foundation daily that it is worth it to eat the cost and invest in a high-quality foundation. Also, if you are acne-prone I would stay away from not only this foundation but all foundations in general as it will only clog your pores and worsen the situation.

Beautiful foundation. The coverage is thorough and complete, but yet feels like you are wearing nothing. In fact its so light in feel that it's the weight of other products on top that you become aware of . So my advice when using this incredible make-up is to apply any color on top with a light hand to let the beauty of this foundation come thru. The one thing that bothers me slightly about this foundation is that when you shake it ( and you MUST prior to application) it will go everywhere if lid is not on, but will create a mess in the lid. If this con could be addressed this would definitely be HG material.

Does anyone notice that this foundation is similar to the discontinued Maybelline Wonder Finish?
I used it for the first time today, and was very impressed with how lightweight it is, yet how densely it covers. Then it dawned on me...Wonder Finish! Wonder Finish that costs, like, less than 10 bucks.
I like the packaging of this a lot. It is a very sleek bottle with a nice metallic cap that snaps in place magnetically.
I hope the hype of this product prompts drugstores to make dupes, and quick. I can't keep paying $38 for a foundation every few months.

I absolutely LOVE this foundation. I've been jumping around from foundation to foundation (High end and drugstore), and although I had found a few I liked, none that are this great. This is fantastic for everyday wear, because it gives me the perfect amount of coverage, and I don't even feel like I have foundation on! However, if you need heavy coverage this probably isn't the foundation for you, I find it perfect because its a few notches up from a tinted moisturizer but not heavy or cakey. They have plenty of shades, and the sephora makeup artists will fit you if you're having trouble finding your perfect one. Very happy with this product, will be repurchasing!

I LOVE LOVE LOVE this stuff.Makes my skin look nice and smooth and its the only foundation ive ever used that literally feels like im wearing nothing yet covers really well. The only problem i have is that i wish there was a better range of shades.. Luckily i dont use much and im able to blend pretty easily. I would definitely continue to buy.

I love this foundation and that is saying something coming from me, I am a total foundation wh*re!! I literally have everything from drugstore ( Revlon, Maybelline, E.L.F etc ) to higher end ( La Prairie, La mer, YSL ) and everything in between.
The First thing I will tell you about this foundation is not to be afraid of the color selection. I am a med to tan complexion and am use to being in the 4-5 number range for most foundations, examples of 2 popular foundations are Revlon colorstay I wear natural tan and in Lancome Teint Miracle I wear Bisque 5, and in this foundation I wear a 5. When I first looked online all of the shades looked dark to me and I am used to wearing the med to darker shades. The foundation matcher on Urban Decay.com matched me and I went with it, when it came in the mail I was thinking my intial thoughts were correct and it was going to be too dark, but it is not as dark on as it looks in the bottle. The 5 is a perfect match.
For me this is a matte finish, however I apply it over the Urban Decay tighten and brighten primer and use the Urban Decay foundation brush. So I am not real sure if it may end up more dewey without the primer, but I do not have to set this with a powder and I always set with powder, this is the first foundation I have not used powder with. I do not have oily skin, but do have combo skin and my T zone can get oily after a few hours. This stuff is amazing, it still looks great hours later. My face usually eats foundation, but this stays all day. It is also the best foundation I have found for covering and blurring imperfections such as pores, fine lines etc and still looks totally natural. It is buildable and does not get cakey looking the more you apply. It is just overall one of the best, if not the best foundations I have tried, and I have many. I will definately repurchase.

LOVED this product. nice consistency when pumped out of the bottle, and warmed up nicely on the back of my hand. I find I only need about 1/2 to 1 pump of product, and the packaging makes the product easy to dispense.

Coverage: the lightest coverage would be a medium coverage, although the great thing about this product is that you can layer to get as much coverage as you would like without the heaviness or cakey feeling you would get with heavier foundations. I find this product is best applied with a brush, because that way you can really buff the product into the skin. I have combination skin and find that I can wear this product without a setting powder, and need to make minimal touchups during the course of the day. Also, it does not make my skin red or breakout, which is pretty miraculous considering a lot of makeup with heavy oils and synthetic parabens do this.

Another lovely bonus is that it is not tested on animals, has no parabens or GMO's (If you're into that sort of thing, I know I am)

Several problems:

1. I'm NW15 and I couldn't find a good match. A Sephora artist matched me with 2.0, but once I got outside I could see just how orange it was on me. I went back and exchanged it for 1.0 (since they were out of 1.5), and although it was a bit light, it didn't look too bad. I took it back and got a sample of 1.5, and it didn't work either.

2. I wore 1.0 for about a week, and it broke me out HORRIBLY. I normally don't break out anywhere but my chin/under chin area, but I have two zits the size of pencil erasers, one about 2in under my left eye and one about an inch to the side of my left ear. They're the cystic type, not ever coming to a head and just being swollen. Laughing, smiling, eating, and sleeping are painful. Not good.

3. I didn't like the packaging. The thick plastic walling was bulky.

Two stars for coverage and feel. It felt amazing on my skin and the coverage was pretty good, too.

This foundation is amazingly light for a liquid, it truly feels like you have nothing on. I have combo skin and when I use a primer this foundation has literally looked good for 12 hours. I was amazed. The optical blurring brush is hands down the best brush I have applied foundation with. Well done urban decay!

This foundation does not work on combination skin. I feel like it caked up, made my dry spots drier and my oily t-zone oilier. It looked pretty when I first applied it but very soon it just became a mess. UD has great eye shadow selection that is worth every penny - this foundation is not worth your money.

I just recently dove into the world of higher end foundation and this was the second for me to try. Let me just say that I LOVE it. I love that they have shades for people with cooler undertones to their skin and warmer undertones. It makes it so much easier to find a shade to match your skin.
I got mine from Ulta after they did a match on my skin. It matches perfectly and leaves a nice dewy finish to my skin. I wore it one weekend to a family event and my make up stayed on all day. It feels as if I'm not wearing anything and sometimes I forget that I'm wearing any make up at all! I would definitely recommend this product to anyone who asks.

I bought this with the UD Optical Blurring Brush and they work wonderfully together. The color matches my incredibly pale skin perfectly, and it's very lightweight -- it doesn't feel like I'm wearing makeup, which is a big factor in whether or not I like a product. It has good coverage for what I use it for (mainly redness on my cheeks), but I still have to use a concealer (I use the UD 24/7 concealer) under my eyes.

It is expensive, but it is the only foundation that I have used that I like. It hasn't broken me out, it has good coverage, and I don't feel like I'm wearing a mask when I have it on... so for me, it was worth the $38 I spent on it.

Packaging is great -- I love the hygienic and easy to use pump container. I did drop it on my tile bathroom floor and the whole thing broke into its component pieces, but it all snapped back together easily and is as good as new now.

This is a great foundation for people with combo to oily skin. I have normal to dry at the moment and by the second day my chin started to get dry patches. I still think this is awesome! The color match was good. Coverage was medium. I used a real technique buffing brush and application was easy and blended. Didn't need powder and it stayed all day. I will purchase when my skin is a little more oily.

I really love this foundation. It has its good points but it also has its bad. The one and only problem would be that it is a bit harder to blend because the foundation sets extremely quick. I've tried different ways to apply the foundation from sponges, to brushes, to just bare hands. I find that the best way to apply this foundation is when you have a tinge of moisturizer still left on your hands and then apply the foundation to your face. But you will have to pat quickly as well as tiny strokes for around the nose and under the eyes or it will become hard to blend. With brushes whether it was a foundation brush or a stippling brush I found that it would just not blend and leave your face looking quite "spotty". And it was about the same with sponges. I use about one pump for my whole face and neck and that gives a really great coverage. But you could even do with a bit less than a pump for smaller faces or lighter coverage. I prefer to just use one pump as I do have some scars I'd rather be covered and it does a great job in doing so. This has pretty much become my go to foundation for whenever I go out and it has done an amazing job holding up. Also, I use the shade 4.0 for my Asian skin. I'm not exactly pale or tan, I'm a light-medium and this is the perfect shade!

I love this foundation. I was wearing NARS Sheer Glow on a daily basis for work and while I like it, I didn't love it. Not for every day use. I wanted something similar that had more staying power, as I work a minimum of 10 hours a day. This is definitely it for me. I believe it cost me about $38 which isn't exactly cheap but well worth it in my opinion for the quality of the product. It has staying power and has a really nice finish to it. It also matched my skin better than almost any foundation I've tried (I am very fair, and the shade 1 was a perfect match) I am about halfway through the bottle and fully plan to repurchase. Two thumbs up.
