I am a blue eyed NW10 (NW20 when tanning from a bottle).
I don't think this product did much for my pores, which are large on my nose. It felt nice going on, but kind of made my foundations look funny over top. Not worth it.

This is good for combination/oily skin/oily t-zone but very drying everywhere else! It reduces the size of pores pretty well but was a little too drying for my skin and did nothing for lines which some other primers do.
My friend who has very oily skin loves it so I gave it a 3 :-)

This pore minimizing balm really works quite well! I use it on my nose and on the sides of my nose only...that is where I feel my pores are the most noticeable. The consistency of this balm is very silicon-y and smooth, it feels really nice when you apply it. I apply this before my face primer, and once my whole face is done (primer, concealer, foundation) my pores are really blurred and not nearly as noticeable. I will definitely re-purchase!

Benefit's The Porefessional is "pro balm to minimize the appearance of pores". Pro balm is pretty much just a fancy way of saying "primer" if you were wondering. This primer is translucent with an "oil free formula that compliments all skin tones and helps makeup stay put". The formula contains Vitamin E derivative to "known to protect skin from free radicals". Benefit says that this primer can be used over or under makeup and recommends applying it in the morning after moisturizing, but before applying foundation, and then patting a bit more on if you notice your pores reappearing throughout the day. I got a .25fl oz (7.5ml) deluxe sample as a gift with purchase at Ulta. The full size tube of The Porefessional retails for $30 for .75fl oz (22ml). That means my sample is 1/3 the full size, so its valued at $10. Yay for easy math, I didn't even have to ask my boyfriend for help. Praise my skills! Benefit does not test on animals. This product was made in the USA. Benefit products can be bought online at the brand's website, department stores with Benefit counters, Ulta, and Sephora, and their respective websites.
My little sample of this primer came in a box with the name of the product on the front along with the Porefessional, looking like she's in quite a hurry. The pretty aqua box flips open to reveal the sample tube, as well as two small diagrams depicting how to use this primer. A description, more detailed instructions, company info and a full ingredient list list can be found on the back of the box. The little tube it's self is similar in design to the box. A light aqua with beige stripes with the Porefessional on the front as well and a description on the back. The tube is sealed with a black twist off cap. Unlike Girl Meets Pearl and That Gal, the full size of The Porefessional comes in a squeeze tube like this one. Benefit should wise up and package all their primers like this, its convenient
The Porefessional primer has a really unique texture that I didn't expect at all. Its hard to describe. I guess velvety would be an appropriate characterization. Its an almost pasty, but soft balm with a slight flesh tone tint to it. It blends out beautifully, a small amount can go a very long way. The slight tinge of color blends completely away, truly translucent. The Porefessional gives skin a much smoother, more mattified feel and appearance, giving the skin an air of perfection. That being said, it doesn't fully cover pores or anything. The Porefessional does diminish the look of pores a good amount, but its not a miracle worker by any means. Actually I think The Porefessional gives just the right amount of "porefection", the completely poreless look is a little too flawless in my opinion. If slightly enlarged pores are your only issue, you may not need any face makeup over this primer.
For those of us that do need a concealer and foundation, lets talk about how the Porefessional works as a primer. I don't use The Porefessional over my entire face, just over targeted area such as my nose, chin, and parts of my cheeks where my pores are larger and I tend to get slightly oily in the same areas (i.e where foundation can break down a bit). The Porefessional gives a much smoother texture to the skin which obviously results in much smoother application and adherence of foundation and a little better coverage as well. Wear doesn't seem to be prolonged aside from on the sides of my nose, the only place where I ever have wear issues. When I combine The Porefessional with my best concealer, foundation, and powder, my skin looks really great. The only potential downside to this primer is that I've noticed a couple itty bitty white heads popping up on the side of my nose. I get similar pimples from time to time, usually around my nose stud, but they seem to be popping up a little more often. I'm not sure if The Porefessional is causing this flare up or not. I don't think it is, but it's probably not helping the situation either.
I like Benefit's The Porefessional. It really does help with the appearance of large pores. The texture is really interesting and feels good on the skin. The look of my skin is much improved when I wear this product, it really gets a near flawless look. Foundation, BB cream, and concealer apply smoother and seem to have enhanced coverage. They just stick to the skin better, if you know what I mean. I've been using this primer very frequently and I've barely put a dent in it, so I think when the time comes, I could actually justify buying a full size, it seems like it'd last me forever. If you have large pores and some extra cash, investing in Benefit's The Porefessional Pro Balm might be worth your while, or if you'd like to try a lot of Benefit products at once, check out their value kits, they usually include this product.

i bought this product to use as a primer as i wanted my skin to look soft . over all i did not like this it cloged my pores and made me have tiny little bumps. but i know many other women that this product works great for them. overall the texture to this was so amazing it was so soft and velvety smooth and did make my pores look alot smaller.

I wanted to love this primer, but it's just OK like a previous reviewer mentioned. It sits on top of my skin, melts throughout the day, and does nothing to improve longevity of the foundation. I'm still on the lookout for the perfect primer.

This product is just OK. I had to use a lot of it to notice any effect on my pores, and even then there was no "ah ha! they're smaller!" moment. My skin did look and feel smoother after blending it all in, and it has a nice texture. I panicked a little after putting on foundation (LM TM), which usually doesn't show my pores. This time, ironically, it did. I think it was because I put on the amount I normally use w/other primers, which in this case was too much. It was like Benefit created a magnet in each pore that sucked my foundation into it. I scraped off the excess with a fingernail and THEN my pores did look (slightly) smaller. I didn't have the same problem with La Mer TM. I would only use this on your T-zone, as it does a good job of controlling oil but will make normal skin look dry.

I really liked the consistency of it. Not too thick or thin. It didn't break my skin out or anything. I wish you got more for the price.

the product blends very well and fills in the pores and creates a smooth appeareance, it does not clog them or cause breakouts either. I was so sad when my little tube was empty, I will certainly by a full size tube!! HIGHLY recommend this product!

A miss for me. I was looking for the T-Zone control tubey thingy from Clinque. Found it had been discontinued for the past 18mths or something like that. Anyhoo, I went across to the benefit counter... Come away with ridiculously expensive porefessional.
It is quite thick & coney, on application u can't blend too much or it will bead off. Combat that by letting moisturiser to settle before application of poref. Or by using kitchen towel to quickly take off beads.... Then apply makeup. My concealer went on a dream, the first layer. But when I went back to build up with another layer then the first would come away. Combat that by putting small amount of finishing powder on then next layer..... After that I will apply powder all over face. Yes face looked a little smoother, but it would look greasy real quick. Pores were still there. Um what exactly is its job? No likey, send to young experimental cousin who will use to mix with liquid foundation and leave the house like that.....

This primer didn't diminish the look of my pores. It made my skin look super dry. And worst of all it broke me out around my nose. So I will be returning this product. I wouldn't recommend this primer

I got this through the Sephora point system, so I got to try out the full size product for free. So far, I've had a good experience. The product itself is a liquid cream that turns to a rather dry finish once pressed into the skin. I only put it on my mid forehead, on my nose, and chin. It does a decent job of smoothing the areas out and correcting the texture of my skin for foundation. I have normal skin and it didn't make me more or less shiny throughout the day, but definitely helped my foundation last all day (in addition to UD all nighter). I found it odd that the product was tinted, still confused as to the point of that. The packaging I felt was rather on the inexpensive side, cheap plastic. Overall, I do feel like it's a good, solid product but there are probably better primers out there for the same price point.

This broke me out with 5 blemishes in only 2 days. I know they were caused by this product because they were all on/around my nose, cheeks, and upper lip; areas I very rarely have breakouts, and also areas where this product was applied (to reduce t-zone shine and minimize pores). Even for someone blemish-prone such as myself, 5 new spots in 2 days is insane. I've never had any luck with primers, so for someone whose skin does well with them and also is not acne-prone, perhaps their experience would be differerent. For myself, I threw away my sample and will not be purchasing.

The good thing about this product is that I didn't pay for it. I "cashed" in my Sephora points and got a full sized tube of the primer. I wish I had saved my points. Although the primer does smooth out skin, the effects don't last very long. By the end of the workday, my face is a greasy mess when I use this. Unfortunately this primer, like many other Benefit products, is not worth its price ($30 retail).

I love the matte finish it gives you and the smell is amazing! Although this seems quite pricy for the small tube, but you don't really have to use a lot. My t-zone gets quite oily after a few hours, so after moisturizing, i put about half a pea size onto my t-zone and the amount of times i have to blot throughout the day dramatically reduces!
Some times I wear this alone and it leaves my skin looking fresh!
I'd most probably buy this again unless i find some thing better

My pores actually looked bigger the longer I wore it through out the day, and I need to stop falling for cute packaging. This gave a small amount of oil control, but really not much compared to other products. I usually love things from this line! This far from wowed me. It did not help to keep the foundation from fading. This was very siliconey and cakey..,.and my pores was still visible. Especially when my oil broke through after 4 hours and my foundation faded. I wore this with Benefit Hello Flawless foundation. These two together didn't stay flawless on my oily skin. I could still see every pore on my face. It looked nice on areas where my pores are not big, so it basically defeats the purpose of this product for me. I prefer my Pop Beauty Face Magnet. That one actually fill in my pores and looks flawless all day.

The thing cost $300 hkd which is ok worth it u decide
The packaging is absolutely cute it has a printed action figure and it looks like a toy box.
The stuff is weird.
It looks like tinted playdough.
It feels like tinted playdough :P but not gross. Its dry playdough not sticky playdough.
It feels really smooth and like your own skin kinda waxy but silky, i think i sound confusing. The texture makes you wonder if you have enough product on your finger.
I got this because of makeupgeek. Whatever Marlena says its a good product I auto think oh theres a good product out there Im going to get it right now. **who doesnt?**
Really its a weird product.
It does actually work tho. When I first applied it I hated how it didnt fill up the pits on my cheek, but I think I was too overly expectant, cus it filled up every single other pore on my face.
Because of the weird texture, your face feels like porcelain, and it does look like porcelain too. ^ ^
This is an amazing product, but dont expect it to completely fill up pits. Nothing Ive found so far yet can do that so if anyone finds something that can, please shout out.

I had to take off a lippie for the price which is pretty outrageous for the amount you are given but otherwise I think this is a great product. I only use primers to prevent makeup from settling into fine lines and for corrective purposes and I've used probably every primer in the world and I can't say that one "lasts" longer than the other bc it probably hugely has to do with what foundation you wear but this is great for minimizing pores, it feels amazing, not too oily but still so soft and blendable. It's definitely one of my favorites!

OMG! I love Benefit but I hate this stuff with a PASSION! This was my first primer. Honestly if I hadn't been given a sample of Urban Decay's this might have turned me off of all primers for life. This stuff was sooo soft and has no "stick" if you know what I mean. MY make up just FELL off my face by mid day. It's sad how crappy this stuff is for 30 frickin dollars. I exchanged it and don't even ever want to look at it again. When I say my make up fell of I mean it was gone. And I tried it a good 5 times on different days and at different times to see if it made a difference. Nope. If anything it clogged up my pores and made them look worse!....*sigh* I still love you Benefit...

I have heard some great things about this so I gave it a whirl. I got two samples from Sephora (single pre-made samples enough for two days). I used it alone without any other primer. I have heard of people using one primer and dabbing this on where they needed to cover their pores. I used on a moisturized face. It has a balm consistency. I am used to lotiony-creamy primers. It wasn't bad, just different. I found that it did minimize the look of pores and made my skin look great even BEFORE I put on foundation. Made a great canvas for foundation application. As far as making my makeup stay put, it doesn't work any better than any other primer I have tried.
