I actually bought two of these because they were on sale at Rite Aid for 2.99 each! Anyway, I expected this to be much like MF LP... and it is (and I like MF LP very much). But I think I like this formula a little more. Reasons? Just one main reason: it holds my curl better than MF LP. Other than that, I feel like they are very similar - they both don't flake or smudge on me and separate my lashes very well.

I have tried lots of different mascaras in seach of the perfect one. I have also found that drugstore brand mascaras are almost always better than any department store brand. That said, I really like this mascara. It separates lashes nicely. The packaging is good and it doesn't get all over the rim of the tube. I prefer really dramatic lashes and for that I have always loved L'Oreal Voluminous, but this one is definately going to be a staple for me. Give this a try.

First off, let me say that I was blessed with long, thick, and curled lashes. I wear mascara mostly for separation of lashes and it gives me a polsihed look for everyday. I have found few mascaras that I like, because they either make my lashes loo too long and overdone, or they make my eyelashes fall out. I find that the thinner the formula, the less my eyelashes fall out at night when I remove my mascara. This mascara has not made my lashes fall out and it is very gentle. I dont even need makeup remover with this mascara, it can be washed away with water and I just take a kleenex under my eyes afterward to remove some of the mascara left behind. This also separates lashes very well, and it gives a great (not too dramatic) look for everyday wear.

I've been using this for about 2-3 weeks now and I still dislike it as much as the first time I wore it. My lashes are naturally long and I often have problems with smudging from where my lashes touch my undereyes when I blink. One of the 2 good points about this mascara is that it does not smudge at all. The second good point is that it removes very easily with water (followed up with eye makeup remover).

Now for the bad things. Too much mascara gets on the brush. Even when I wipe the brush off, I get clumpy stuck together lashes. If I apply this extremely carefully I may (with a little luck) get an acceptable result. It does nothing to add volume. It dries out quickly. I do not pump the wand...I pull it out upon opening, wipe it off and use the mascara left on the wand to apply to BOTH eyes; I then re-insert the wand and close.

The best results come when I go over each lash just once, which is difficult to do, given the length of the brush, it's bound to overlap somewhere.

So - keep looking ladies, don't waste your $$ on this one.

Great mascara. I have not tried Max Factor Lash Perfection, but there is no need as I am completely satisfied with this product. I have been looking for a mascara that gives me long lashes that are slightly plumper at the base than the tips, and this does just that. My lashes are long, lush and stay that way for hours. Magic happens when you apply this after MAC Fiber Rich (or any microfiber mascara) on the tips of your lashes before applying Lash Exact to the whole lash. I bought this in brown and have dark brown hair and eyes, and it gives me a great better-than-natural look.

I tried both the new Max Factor lash perfection and Maybelline's waterproof lash stylist and this one is more similar to Max Factor's in brush design. They are very similar, so I'll buy whatever is on sale.

let me just say that i was drawn to this product by the suer-cute package. i love purple, and this comes in a super cute purple tube. i did not like the fact that it comes with a little lid that you have to screw off before you can even put the applicator in (i know it sounds weird, just look at how it's packaged and you'll understand). it wasted plastic. i liked the idea of the brush, it stayed on all day,and it made my lashes longer and fuller. i like the mascara pretty well overall. but it did have bad points. it clumped ALOT on me (the only thing that it was guaranteed to NOT do), and when i used my eyelash comb all the mascara came off and got stuck under my eye. it looks a little flaky, which is prolly attributed to the clumpiness. and it was a pain in my rear end to take off. i use almay non oily makeup removing pads, and they had hardly any affect whatsoever on this mascara. it isn't waterproof, however, and it runs if you get water on your eyes (i have no clue as to why it wouldn't come off with makeup remover when it runs like this). it does a nice job though. i put on two coats, then use my eyelash comb, then out on another coat, and it lasts all day.

Im a mascara junkie and I love this mascara, I wear mascara 24/7 never leave the house without it so Im very picky about my mascara. I bought it last week and I am in love with it, It even replaced my Favorite full n soft I recently fell in love with, The brush is very nice and I think it gives me thicker lashes , fuller, longer then a mascara has given me in a long time, I have not tried Lash perfection by Max Factor yet, but not sure I even want to try it as I love this one so much:)

This is a fantastic product! I have used Lancome Definicils for 10 years now and thought that nothing could compare to it. But I saw an add for the rubber bristle Cover Girl mascara and thought it looked cool. To my amazement - it does everything it promises! Long, perfectly defined lashes - and no need for an eyelash comb or spoolie after applying! With Definicils, I had to comb my lashes because they would clump together, but with Lash Exact, my lashes come out perfect with one or 2 strokes of the brush.

Who would've thought a $5 mascara from Cover Girl could be so effective! I will buy this again and again. It's my new HG mascara.

This new innovative brush is great. For one, the formula does not clump on the bristles which is a big problem I always have! The application is very smooth and the consistancy of the formula is perfect. Not goopy or too runny.
This is not for those seeking ultimate thick, long lashes. It just enhances what you have in a very nice, natural way.
I would buy this again for sure! I'm so pleased with the brush.

This is the HG d/s mascara!(okay, I haven't tried maxfactor's version...) I gave into the the rave and just had to try this new innovative mascara brush. At first I was a little skeptical because the Rimmel's comb brush didn't do anything for me except for clumping all my lashes together. But this stuff is amazing, the rubber bristles really do a wonderful job of separating lashes. This gives me full, clump free, beautiful lashes and holds curls really well. I don't think I'll give up using Diorshow or Lancome Hypnose but I think the quality of this mascara is right up there (if not better!) The only gripe I have about this is that it seems to smudge a little....=/

Normally, I detest drugstore mascara, I am a daily Shu or Lancome mascara gal - but this has become the new exception. Dirt cheap? check. Comes in Darkest Black? check. No buildup around the top of the tube? check. Can be obtained across the street from my house, without driving five miles to a Saks? check. The only reason I gave this a four instead of a five was that I did find some flaking occured after a few hours. Will repurchase.

Cover Girl Lash Exact mascara is now one of my favourite drugstore mascaras for a natural polished look. As soon as I saw the display, I bought 2 of these to try (one in black, and one in blue) ... the texture of the mascara is great! (not too thick, goopey, nor runny) ... the packaging is cute and the wand is comfortable to hold and it also applies the product really nicely ... best of all, this mascara wears well all day (no smears, flakes or racoon eyes) ... and finally washes off cleanly with soap and water at the end of the day. If you are looking for a mascara that gives a natural polished look, you must try this one -- if you're looking for a ultra lash lengthening/thickening/dramatizing mascara, you probably won't like it. This one totally rivals my favourite Clinique Long Pretty Lashes for a natural polished look, but at half the price. I think this would be a 5 if it had just a tad more lash dramatizing effect, but nevertheless, Lash Exact is definitely a keeper and I will buy again.

I like this better than Max Factor's Lash Perfection because it doesn't flake and get in my eyes like that mascara did. It looks natural because it applied smoothly, but still thickened. I didn't really notice any lengthening, but since I got it, it's been the only mascara I've used.

I think this is great mascara! I do use a eyelash curler and had no problems at all! Cover Girl generally makes a good mascara, but the brush on this one really is unique. I love it!!!

I see consensus is that those who curl their lashes shouldn't use this product. It might very well be the case. All I know is that I have very fine, curly, LOTS of lashes and this product was amazing at just making them look darker, fuller and not EVEN MADE UP. This product is natural looking, does not clump even the slightest, nor does it look makeup-y. If you want a dramatic, dark night time look then use a different brand, more mascarsa-ish, but if you want a mascara to wear day time, for subtle looks, for the workplace, USE THIS. It is a breakthough - the many fine brush strands. I love it!

This mascara flattened out everything my eyelash curler did in the very first stroke. I use Shu's Lash Repair before mascara and consider it like hairspray for my eyelashes but Lash Exact flattened that out too. Very disappointed. I suppose if you have naturally curled lashes and want a more dramatic look, this would be a good option. For me, this formula was much too thick. I would liken it to what you would get with L'oreal Voluminous. Staying power is decent for something not waterproof, I did not get smudging. I'm returning this and going back to Shu Uemura Mascara Basic.

What a great mascara - doesn't smudge, flake (much, at least), or budge - and it's not even waterproof! But you have to move quickly - once it dries, it's difficult to fix any errors! The only downside is that it is a little difficult to remove... It lengthens my short, straight, Asian lashes, so what else can I ask for in a mascara??!!!!

I suppose the makeup houses are all moving towards that strange rubbery brush thing, started by Max Factor's limited edition mascara.
