It's funny how mascaras work so differently on each person, isn't it? I LOVE this mascara - it's cheap, works for me and it's available everywhere!

This mascara makes my lashes look long and full, with minimal clumping.

I'm a real mascara junkie and I'm still to find my HG but this comes close when I consider the price. I hate having to throw my expensive mascaras away after a few months, but as this one is so cheap, it doesn't quite sting as much!

Wow...seems like people either love or hate this one. No real in betweeners (hehehe) Anyway, I really like this mascara and think it performs WAY better than the high dollar, overrated Diorshow (which is sitting in my makeup case unused by the way). I like the way the brush really separates and pulls my lashes up and out making them pretty long. The color is great and havn't seen problems with flaking. Will continue to purchase until something better comes along..**Update...still a good mascara but it's been less than a month and the tube is nearly gone. Cheap price equals less product I suppose**

Packaging:- It's black/pink & quite pretty, enough said. Rimmel seem to make the packaging of the mascara its main priority with this.

Application:- Is quite easy, but I find the wand to be a bit too stiff & irritates my eyes sometimes. My Maybelline Define-A-Lash mascara wand is much better. The mascara feels a bit wet & smudges everywhere if I blink within 5 seconds of putting this on. I think this wand makes it harder to apply mascara to my bottom lashes...the shape of it is just weird.

Result:- No noticeable length or volume; it basically just made my lashes look black, hence making them more visable. My lashes weren't stuck together in clumps, which was a bonus.

Summary:- This mascara defines your lashes without lengthening or thickening them giving a very natural (a bit too natural for my liking) result. Quite frankly you might as well go and get your eyelashes tinted then you don't have to faff around applying mascara every morning. This is an average mascara and I feel it is overpriced. There are better mascaras out there (i.e Define a lash, Lash Injection or Volum Express Curved Brush) & I will not be repurchasing this ever again.

Okay, so I couldn't resist the cute black and pink packaging. I love the black tube and the pink and the crown and the pink brush before insertion...*sigh* I got this in the regular formula in Midnight Black. Actually, the tube has Midnight Black written ON it, yet there is a white sticker that says 003 Extreme Black! I have no clue what is up with that!

I applied 3 coats and on me, it DID lengthen. It did NOT thicken! Another hope crushed as I have few eyelashes to start with and need thickening! I should know not to keep buying new mascaras when I have found perfection in Max Factor Volume Couture.

I will probably end up giving this tube to my daughter.

The morals is never to stray from your HG mascara once youíve found it. Iíve been using Eye Magnifier since it came out and been happy, but I got sucked into the cute packaging of this one and Iím so mad at myself for it. Glam Eyes is a crappy mascara, itís bleeding from so many wounds it would take ages to list.
The formulation is just blah as it is, not volumizing, not lengthening, not curling at all, even though I bought the waterproof version. It dries painfully slow and smears all over my lids even if I blink. Once itís dry, it feels and looks just about like you fell face down into a puddle and still had some gunk left on the tip of your lashes. I had to apply 3 times to make it show up on my lashes, but by then it became all goopy and clumpy and my lower and upper lashes stuck together so bad I had to force my eyes open.
The brush is a good idea but in practice it doesnít do much for volumizing or lengthening either. It separates nicely, but with the awful formula it just doesnít make a difference. I tried using the wand with other mascaras and it wilted my freshly curled lashes just the same way and gave me spider legs standing weird in all directions.
About the waterproofness: when your lashes touch water, they stick together into 3 giant eyelashes, bend inwards and poke your eye. I attacked them with eye mu remover, vasline and olive oil to free myself from this mascara, and I could hardly get it off. What came off was 10 poor heavily clumped together lashes of mine, oh I wish I could stick you babies backÖ This crap mascara is never going anywhere near my eyes again.
Iím surprised at this bad quality, as Iíve used many Rimmel mascaras before and liked them all. Eye Magnifier, Lash Maxxx, Volume Flash and Extra Super Lash are ones I've been happy with.
What I think is Rimmel had a good packaging design idea and wanted to use it, thatís all. Please, please donít get sucked in by it! The one lippy MUA makes me give to this mascara goes for the design. Otherwise, it's a useless product.

Cute tube but the mascara started to go clumpy very soon after I first opened it. It did give me separated lashes but now I get separated lashes with clumps that need combing out. The brush is also kind of awkward, 2 sides are for thickening the lashes and the other 2 for separating. It's an OK mascara but I wouldn't buy it again.

This is the best mascara I have found for what I need. My lashes are long, so all I really need is to thicken them up and separate them. That has been the hardest thing to do, I found most mascaras clump the lashes together. Not Glam Eyes. It's all in the brush, it works better than any other brush I have tried. Granted it is not a very thick formula, and I find I need at least 2 swipes to get a decent layer, and I dont think it will lengthen lashes. However, as I have said, it is the perfect for what I need and the best I have found so far.

another mascara review from this mascara whore...
I bought this because i needed a new mascara for a little price
since rimmel is one of the cheapest drugstore brands in holland I bought this one, the description sounded just what i was looking for (long thick lashes...)
Well the outcome is not long and thick, it is thick and it is a bit long, but it doesnt seem to have the lenghtening ability I was hoping for,
It does a great job for everyday natural looking lashes, but i love the over the top thick and long looking lashes...
so I will be only using this for work or something like that
Maybe I will only use it for the time being...that is untill the moment I find i new better one....
the packaging is very cute thought and the brush is nice also ;)

I bought this after my LashMaxxx started to dry out and flake, as I've generally had good results from Rimmel Mascaras. The first time I used it I found it took the (small) curl out of my lashes, but to be fair I didn't have a full face of make up on and had not previously curled my lashes.

When using it properly with curlers I found my lashes looked lovely and long (which is what I aim for with mascara). No flaking and only smudged once when I forgot and had a right good rub at my eye.

My only gripe is that about 4/5 times when I'm putting the wand back into the tube it bends where the brush is attached to the comb and jumps away from the tube, thus getting big black marks over my hands. Lovely. I've spoken to a friend who uses this and she also occaisionally has the same product.

Overall a decent product and will probably buy again unless I find something better for the price.
