I had this applied on by the makeup artist in the mac store. I don't know if she applied too much but it just looked unnatural for the first thirty minutes. It oxidized and finally gave me the perfect coverage I've always desired. But the sad disappointing comment I have about it is, it broke out my face horribly. I have sensitive combination skin and it made my nose look soo oily. I'm just happy I didn't spend the money to get it. I agree that you could easily smooth the product on with your hands and get blendable coverage but, this foundation is not recommended for people with sensitive skin.

It oxidizes. Choose at least one shade lighter!!!

This product will only work if you meet the requirements. If you can't fulfill the requirements, you are not gonna like the result.

If you have perfect skin, sure it will work for you easily. You will have very natural finishing.

If you don't have perfect skin, make sure at least your skin is not oily. The product gives you a shine. I can't imagine people who already have oily skin want more shine to it.

If you don't have perfect skin but your skin type is not oily, you can make this product work if you combine it with a good concealer. You need to find a concealer that can do a good job concealing your dark spots or eye bag or dark cycles at least 50%. Otherwise, don't expect this foundation to cover anything for you. It only evens out your skin tone and covers maybe 10 to 20% of the discoloring. You need to have some skill to blend the concealer evenly, of course.

If you use Face And Body Foundation with a good concealer, finish it with powder to set and reduce the shine. It should give you a nice natural look. You will like the result because the foundation doesn't give you you a chalky look or sit on the fine lines making the lines more obvious.

One big problem is that it oxidizes, usually after 20 to 30 minutes, it will show and be obviously darker. Since the foundation is sheer, naturally, you want to apply more layers to build it up and cover more, right? The problem is the more layers you put on, the darker your face looks. Your face will be darker than your neck, that is not a good look at all. Even when I only applied one layer, it still oxidized and made my face a little darker than my neck.

When you just apply, you don't see it oxidizes and makes your face darker. Just wait for 30 minutes, you will see what I mean. Most people test in the store and find a shade that matches. They don't wait for 30 minutes in the store to see if the color changes, why would they? That's how I got my color wrong. It matched great when I was testing it in the store. Bought the product and wiped it off. When I actually started to use it at home, I found out how bad it oxidized.

I am very upset about the Mac Makeup Artists didn't even warn me about finding one shade lighter due to oxidization. How could they not know? They sell this everyday.

I don't get the hype.
The formula is very sheer, extremely thin. It is equivalent to a tinted moisturizer. Even though it can be layered, it will not cover much, your skin will still show -redness/blemishes/scars too.
I love that it is moisturizing, and gave my skin a glow - but any tinted moisturizer can do this. The formula is very sticky, and felt like it never really 'set'. I didn't like this.
I always had to use powder over it, and then the 'glow' would disappear.
I am pale and neutral, I had C1 which was so yellow I almost looked jaundiced. N1 was far too pink.
'perfect' matching isn't necessary with this since it is so sheer, but if you do want a good match you will likely have to mix a couple colors. For ghosts like me I recommend the white.
The main reason I didn't like this was that after a few uses it started to really irritate my skin, it got really red and bumpy. I think it's from the orange peel oil.
I don't know why they had to include this since it has no benefit to the skin, just for fragrance I guess.
I don't recommend this, MUFE face and body is way better, no irritation and it actually covers.

I don't normally wear foundation, and I was originally looking for a tinted moisturizer. A few TMs broke me out, but after researching, I decided to try this light-buildable coverage foundation out. The make-up artist at MAC said that sometimes TMs have an ingredient that can irritate skin due to the "moisturizing" qualities.
I still only wear this for nights out or special occasions, but this foundation really lived up to my expectations! I use a stippling brush for very natural looking coverage and to even out my skin tone, sometimes just on problem areas. It does not dry my skin out (I have dry skin), nor break me out.

I wanted to love this product so much. However, there are so many issues I just can't be happy with it. I originally decided to switch from my Chanel liquid foundation to Mac Face and Body because I no longer wanted to spend 60+ for a 1.0 fl oz foundation body. Mac face and body is only ~30 for a 3.0 fl oz bottle. Furthermore, it is waterproof. I also wanted a light weight foundation just to even out my skin tone.

1. It did just that. It was a beautiful light weight foundation. It stayed put during even during the hot summer days.
2. Unfortunately, after about a couple months of using the products, I started noticing clusters of tiny bumps all over my face. I'm the one who would have an occasional pimple every few months. All these bumps all at once was a total nightmare. The only thing I changed was my foundation. I knew this was the root of the issue. I switched back to my Chanel. Slowly all these bumps became pimples, one by one. I dealt with the issue for over 6 months until my skin cleared again. I've always heard about how Mac's foundations break people out but I always thought it was about how well clean your brushes/ hands are, which I make sure mine are before I put it on my face. Unfortunately, I became another statistic.
3. Overtime, the foundation separates dramatically.
4. I'm so bummed this wasn't the foundation for me. The finish was amazing.

Medium Tan Asian, yellow undertones
Mac Foundation Shade NC35, C4
Combination Skin, oily at t-zone & dry at cheeks

I got this in the shade C3, as I got it when I was a shade of NC25/30, and it fit my skin perfectly back then. The shade in this foundation doesn't really seem to matter that much, as it applies with a very, VERY sheer coverage, so I think the foundation actually kind of adjusts to a range of 2 or 3 shades.

I purchased this foundation after a long search online, when I only just started facial makeup (meaning primer, foundation, powder), so back then I really just loved how it toned out my skin smoothly without giving too much coverage. I still do like this foundation occasionally when I feel that I only need a bit of coverage, but I do tend to reach out for other foundations with fuller coverage as I only wear facial makeup on special occasions nowadays.

The bottle is HUGE, so I am not even halfway done, actually only about a third done of the bottle, and I am really contemplating on what to do with it haha. Too much product, don't think I will repurchase this again!

i have been wearing this foundation regularly since i bought it about a month ago. its a sheer, light coverage foundation however if you use a brush and buff it into the skin you can definitely build the coverage up a fair bit more. On my normal skin it does make me oily and shiny on the t-zone, however if you set it with a powder it minimizes this substantially. when i use a primer beforehand and a setting powder to finish it takes away this problem completely. i dont know how it would hold up with more combination to oily skins. however it would be great for drier skins or in the winter months when our skins need that extra hydration.
i paid $60 AUD for a whole bottle which seem steep but it works out cheaper than the better drugstore/pharmacy brands. i dont use much at all and i can see it lasting me quite a long time.
the package is fine. simple and seems sturdy enough.
Overall, i think this is a good product by mac. a nice foundation to use day to day, but not the best for coverage days when you have a few more blemishes but great when your skin looks good. i think i would repurchase, but thats not going to be anytime soon !

Range of colour= decent. Coverage= ok and pretty good if you layer. Finish= dewy but downright greasy if your oily like me. Smell= unpleasant and chemical, but this is always highly personal of course.
Not a repurchase because of my skintype, would recommend to people with dry to normal skin. Also a pro, it's a very low maintenance foundation that can be slapped on with your bare hands, profided that they're clean of course.

This foundation is very light coverage (watery consistency), but you can build it up with a few layers. I found the colour match great, no problem. I have oily skin so I definitely need to set it with a powder. The bottle is very big, 120mls so for AUD60, it works out as cheap as the standard supermarket brands maybelline etc. Bottle lasts ages! Only negatives, the liquid separates after a few months and you need to shake it well each time you use to combine it again. Also both bottles I have had have always leaked in the cap. I would purchase again.

I am kind of on the fence about this product. I had two tester tubs which lasted me about two weeks. I love that it is lighter coverage. It is a bit more transfer resistant than most foundations. A decent full day wear time. Fairly easy to blend out, and you don't need a ton of product. I am just a touch darker than NW25 and was matched to C4. So why am I on the fence? The texture in the jar was just strange-like the water and "color stuff" wanted to separate (even after shaken-you definitely need to shake or mix this foundation.) It also pulled a little orange-tinted on me. I will be the first person to say I absolutely adore the color orange-just not in my foundation. I want to love this product because I love the coverage. I am going to have to go with a no for now-if that changes, I will update this review.

Please... if you're acne prone.. DO NOT GET THIS. I loved this to begin with, but after 2 days i got HUUUUUGE spots around my face, and the minute I stopped F&B, I stopped getting as many spots. I'm still trying to get rid of the scars the spots gave me.. money wasted and left with worse skin than before :(

I am between N7 and N9, depending on the season. I pour some in my hand and warm it up a bit for more coverage. It wears very well, I like that it is waterproof (necessary for the summertime) and long-wearing. It is cheaper per ounce than other waterproof foundations and easily available. I just wish there were a wider variety of colors available. I am right in between N7 and N9 and sometime mix them together. It would be easier not to have to take that step, but it is worth it overall.

I really like this product. For face, it provides light to medium coverage, with a finish that is neither matte nor dewy. Extremely natural looking, and quite long lasting, I find. My skin tends towards oiliness, but this doesn't look greasy or shiny, even after a few hours of wear. A great foundation for throwing on in a hurry, as it is light, applies with minimal fuss, and is pretty foolproof.

What I really like this foundation for is my arms and legs. I am pretty pale - my legs in particular are virtually blue, they are so white. I don't like to fake tan, so if I'm going out at night and want my legs to look a bit less blue, and just nicer, I use this. This is how I do it - I smooth it on moisturised skin. It won't need much blending, as it is not shades and shades darker than my real skin. Once I've got the coverage I want, I leave it to set/dry for a good 10 or 15 mins before dressing. Once it has set, it is reasonably long lasting, but you must let it set. It gives my legs/arms a nice even warm tone, covers up any small blemishes or patches of redness, and has a nice sheen that looks super healthy.

You get loads of product in the bottle, so I think this is great value for money also. Will definintely repurchase. I have taken 1 lippie off for the smell though - it has that sort of orangey smell that Elf products often have. It's not offensive, I just don't like it.

Okey so I'm a guy , still in school, and obviously don't want people seeing me wearing foundation. Mac face & body foundation is the best foundation ever, it can be classified as a HD foundation, because it is invisible to the human eye! I am a N3, and it is a PERFEcT match (as with all MAC products). I gave the price rating dirt cheap, and the reason for that was, because it is quite expensive if you think about it initialy, BUT it is actually an investment in the long term, because this bottle WILL last you a minimum of 6 months (if you use a hell of a lot), and a maximum of 12 months or more. I would say that you have to have fairly good skin to take advantage of this foundation, as it offers light-medium buildable coverage, but after 2 layers it starts to look like you are wearing makeup. I do advice that you work off of the back of your hand, and mix a dab of strobe cream with this foundation , to give a nice healthy dewy glow that is radiant and very youthful. If you are looking for more coverage, heat the foundation by rubbing it in between your hands, it will gets sticky and it will provide more coverage. I advice you to apply it with a MAC 188 in a firm circular motion, as this provides a natural look, and people will compliment you on your perfect skin :)

Im not a mac lover but i had to try the foundation based on the recommendations of others. Its a huge bottle. I wish it came in a smaller one because i was told this foundation doesn't last a very long time until it separates. I did like the way it smelled, a little like flowers. It applied...ok. I used fingers a suggested but i had to do a lot of blending. I wasn't a fan of the color selection. They have 300 of every other foundation and so few of the most versatile foundation they offer. The darkest one was still too light for me although it did darken a bit closer to my skin tone after a few mins. Sadly like other MAC foundations its started to break me out after a few days. By breakout i don't mean pimples but it caused an allergic reaction to my face. Of course i will not be repurchasing.

This is the best TM (little more coverage than standard) around. And with MAC you are sure to get the right color. I am a N2 and think this is perfect for daytime or weekend days. You barely need to use concealer if you have any acne. However, it feels like you have nothing on. The key, though, is to not judge it as soon as you put it on, it is weird because it takes a minute at least to "set" and is a lighter shade at first. I have tried the following TM's: LM, Tarte, Stila, Bobbi Brown and Dior and this is by far the best. Unfortunately manyh of the TM's out there come in a ridiculous three or five colors, as if everyone could fit into one of four colors, etc. You won't have that problem with this, and if you are warm or cool toned there is a color just for you.

I wear this as a base to my other foundations. It evens everything out and removes some of the redness so that I don't have to use much foundation. It acts like a primer as well. I put a couple of layers (N3), then take a tiny bit of Chanel Pro Lumiere 20 Clair, press it into my skin and finish with Napoleon Camera Finish Powder Look 4. It's not drying yet not oily. Just perfect. Feels so light on the skin. Wouldn't wear F&B on it's own though except maybe on Sunday with some concealer. When you first put it on your skin it'll be really shiny but give it a few minutes and it absorbs into your skin and you're left with the pigment that covers imprefections whilst looking like your real skin. Would definitely repurchase. Also, it's great for summer because it's waterproof!

I am an N2 color because I am quite fair. But this foundation is great if you want an everyday foundation! It covers redness fairly well. I like to set mine if I go out for the night with a light powder. It is kinda expensive, but I do believe it's worth the money. I apply it with a foundation brush, and I have found it can look cakey if you apply too much in one place. I use it all the time. Well worth the money if you get properly matched!

I am an N3 and based on the reviews here, I keep mine in the fridge to preserve it. I have applied it after primer w my fingers, a stippling brush and a sponge. I purchased it and tried to wear it as a light, every day foundation.

Pros
Great price for the amount of product
Good packaging
I have not broken out from it
Buildable coverage
Works well w a concealer brush to provide light coverage on blemishes, scars and circles

Cons
Has an orangy-cast to it
Requires a lot of buffing to get a good finish
Texture on the face is sort of a greasy, tacky, dewy, even after it dries (this is why I have applied it in so many different ways - I have been trying to find the right way to apply this stuff!)
The buildable coverage can look caky, if you aren't careful w letting it set in between 'coats'
When I put one of my translucents powders over it, the powder doesn't bind well w the foundation and streaks really pop up

I know this product works for some. If I were to buy it again, I might go to N2. However, there are other foundations that work better for less effort
