The length this gives, omg. LOVE. This may be expensive, but I'm definitely repurchasing. Soooo worth it!

I have allergy eyes and I don't usually wear eye make up. I got a sample YSL mascara and found it very comfortable, no eye-irritation or what-so-ever. So I decided to purchase a YSL mascara, and I picked this one since I have very small eyes and short, thin lashes. I'm not disappointed with this product at all! I wear it daily, and I just dab it on my lashes with small touches, only one layer does it to get a natural make-up, longer, fuller -but not so over-the-top lashes. Extra layering gives more definition and more of a false-lashes look. Definitely recommend to those with allergy eyes and contact lense wearers.

I bought this mascara with high expectations given the price I paid for it as well as the rave reviews it got - but Im really disappointed. As another reviewer said - it clumps in the tube and on the wand, and most frustratingly on my lashes ! I wish I had just just bought 2 bottles of Maybelline or Covergirl mascara instead , they do more for my lashes than this overpriced thing did !!

This is my favourite mascara and the only one I've bought more than once. It doen't give me clumpy, spidery, crispy lashes which I find that a lot of mascaras do. It makes my lashes feathery. It's good on volume but so-so on lengthening.
I love the way they make my lashes look but it's a crying shame that this mascara doesn't last as long as others. The brush and/or the formula gets all clumpy/dry/unsuable over time which really, really sucks considering how much it costs! This is why the mascara gets 4 lippies instead of 5.

For me this left me underwhelmed. It was nothing special it dried out my lashes and in the tube I much prefer my beloved Mac haute & naughty mascara. For me this left me underwhelmed. It was nothing special it dried out my lashes and in the tube I much prefer my beloved Mac haute & naughty mascara.

This is the worst mascara I have ever used, its not even as good as ASDA's own brand! It didnt actually look like I had mascara on, no length, no volume. I didnt even think it was very black, it looks more grey really and it smudged and flaked after about an hour. It also dries out on my lashes and in the container very quickly. The packaging is really nice though!

Clumpy. Doesn't smudge. Makes my lashes look thicker in a trashy way. Not classy. Not what I want from YSL.
Update: rating reduced even further. I just used this mascara again, admittedly after leaving it (sealed) for a couple of months. My eyes are a thick sticky black mess. I have to remove my makeup and start again. I've thrown this expensive away after using it half a dozen times max. Not impressed.

I love this mascara. Really did wonders in terms of both lengthening and thickening. I would definitely buy again.

I loved this mascara for about one application. It is thick, and does give high impact. If you curl it afterwards, tends to leave a line in the lash. Not pretty.
Also, it dried out very quickly, and clumped on my average lashes like crazy. Lovely smell, nice and dark pigments, but I am actually happier with my Rimmel Max Bold Curves Mascara for about a third the price. And it lasts three times as long.

I've tried many mascaras in the past but always go back to this one. Makes the lashes longer and doesnt smudge. It also hydrates the lashes and doesnt break them. For best results, use a eyelash curler prior applying it and you will see a huge difference. Amazing!!

I've tried maybe 20 brands of mascara through out my lifetime. I got this as a sample and I just tried it. I am very impressed.
I first noticed the light but noticeable fragrance when I was applying it. I like the idea, the scent is kind of nice, not great. After 2 coats, I am very impressed!! It is better than all the mascara I have except Maybelline's Full & Soft waterproof (which makes my lashes like fake ones).
This YSL mascara looks/feels luxurious. My lashes are prettier and it washes off nicely w/ my normal face wash & a dab of olive oil on Qtip. It's 30 dollars but I will buy it again.

This mascara gives great volume, after a few layers. It really makes my lashes look lush and long too. However, after a few hours sitting through two classes it starts to smudge on the lower eye, and the effect of false lashes wears off through out the day. I am not sure if I would buy again because even for me, $30 for mascara is ridiculous. But not enough to steer me away from trying it.
Edit: It does make my lashes look great, but it smudges way too much on me for me to use it ever again.

I love this mascara to death,it's pretty amazing it volumizes my lashes like no other and lenghtens a bit as well I have long lashes so I do not need that much length. It might clump a bit as you layer it more but the way your lashes will look is really worth it.You can always brush through your lashes to get them perfected. Will buy it again for sure.

This is absolutely the Worst Mascara I have ever used.It made me look as if I have no lashes.I will never purchase any mascara from this company again.Over priced Crap!!!
Age: 25-29 Skin: Combination, Medium Hair: Brown Eyes: Brown
Crap, crap, and more crap. I cant believe how bad a mascara can be from such a high end brand.
It clumps, it doesnt lengthen, and it will leave you with splashes of dots inwithin a few hours. I wouldnt use this again if I got it for free, so much to pay for it..

Mascara is a fickle beast. I really have to try mascaras for a little while to see if the formula improves over a few weeks or so--or vice versa. So I've been giving Faux Cils the old college try for about two weeks, but I won't be continuing to use this product. YSL Faux Cils has a list of really nice qualities:
-Fans my lashes out beautifully.
-It lengthens without making my lashes look spidery--it's got a good balance of volume and length.
-It's nicely buildable and can get quite dramatic.
-It doesn't leave my lashes crunchy or brittle.
-It holds a curl nicely.
-Doesn't clump on me.
So, really, when it looks good, it looks good. But it also:
I'm not a fan of raccoon eyes, so I will not continue to use this. Other than that, it was a decent mascara.

After reading many reviews, i decided to purchase it and i am disappointed. It does not hold my curls and seem to flatten my lashes instead of holding my curls. it seems to clump pretty easy. i prefer my maybelline mascaras over this expensive mascara!

I am so impressed with Faux Cils (Noir Radical) -- I have used one particular mascara for years (my HG!) and this is truly the only (!) one that has ever come close to rivaling it.
When I first unscrewed the wand, I was skeptical; the brush looked so narrow and small that I did not have much faith that it would do anything extraordinary. Rest assured, though: Faux Cils lives up to its name. In terms of the false eyelash effect, it delivers. The brush seems to grab and coat every little lash, fanning them out and making them look impossibly dark and long. I normally use Too Faced Lash Injection, and in terms of volume and length, Faux Cils was comparable -- and it did not flake as some tubing mascaras can. It did smear a little throughout the day, which is sometimes to be expected -- and for the overall benefits, I can deal with it! I am comfortable wearing this on a daily basis, but if you prefer a more natural look, I would save this for special occasions or evenings.
Faux Cils is pricey -- but it also works extraordinarily well, so I was not disappointed in my investment. My only real complaint is that it did not hold the dramatic lash effect all day -- it definitely subsides after a few hours. Still -- I am very impressed, and I will likely repurchase and rotate this with Too Faced (which I still cannot abandon!) in the future. Love!

This is one of the most amazing mascaras I've ever used. I can't believe how long my lashes looked with this mascara. Honestly, it looked like I had on false lashes.
