I’ve been using YSL Touché Éclat for over a year now, although I’m pleased with it, I decided to try Skinflash because it’s more readily available (I purchase YSL online but Skinflash is available at my local Sephora store). The shade I purchased, 002, is a close match to that of Touché Éclat 02 but TE is a bit lighter and more opaque while Skinflash is a little creamier and easier to blend. As a highlighter both perform very well, giving me a natural radiant glow. However, the main reason for my purchase is to conceal the dark circles and shadows underneath my eyes and TE is superior for that purpose. Although the Dior pen looks larger, it contains less of the product and costs more ($33 for 1.5 ml Skinflash, $37 for 2.5 ml TE). Skinflash isn’t bad, but I will only repurchase if TE becomes discontinued. For reference, I have medium warm, NC25/30 skin.

I was extremely pleased with this product when I first purchased it. As I used it more and more I realized that the colour I have, 003 is pretty orange, and only seemed to get more orange with time. (maybe because I lost my suntan :P) There is very little product in the tube for the 50$ CAD it costs, and the applicator brush wastes a lot, with the concealer getting stuck in the brushes, and the lack of precision application. The coverage of this concealer is pretty weak, I guess because it's meant to be a highlighter. I've since switched to Lancome Effacernes, using a Quo cream eyeshadow brush and concealer brush for application, and I've noticed a world of difference in the appearence of my complexion. I would skip skinflash unless you have A) a lot of money B) don't care about coverage, and C) need a concealer pen.
PS. The aesthetics of the packaging are really pleasing.

Love it. Love it better than YSL Touche Eclat.
I use this only on special occasions, and alternate with Dior anti-fatigue concealer (which isn't nearly as good)...
I do wish it came in something other than pen format, but then again, that might change the product, so maybe not.
Definite repurchase. This is one of the few products in my "A" lineup, along with Chantecaille loose powder, and Tarte Smooth Operator.
One other thing I might mention: there is really only 1 wearable shade out of the 2 available...002. The other 2 are too pink or look odd.
I'd love it if Dior would expand the colour selection on this. FYI (Canadians) you can get this cheaper by purchasing from Sephora.com, even with the exchange rate...iirc it's quite expensive at Canadian Dior counters, compared to sephora.com's pricing.

I'm early 30s - have 2 small kids and always look tired!! Skinflash is just enough to hide the under eye bags and veins so I don't look dead (!) it's expensive but worth it - but I do find myself trying to open the wrong end though!!

I was reaching the end of my Touche Eclat pen and thought maybe I would give Skinflash a try. I bought 002 Candlelight and the shade is the same as the TE #2. The consistencies of both pens was also similar. However, TE is superior to Skinflash because it does not crease. I tried the Skinflash under one eye and the TE under the other eye. Five minutes later, the side with Skinflash was creasing badly. I returned it the next day and bought my trusty TE. I will never stray again. YSL makes quality products.

I'm not very impressed with this product. I know this is not a concealer but rather an illuminator so I didn't expect it to cover my dark circles on its own (and it doesn't, the coverage is rather light). Anyway, I intended to use it over my usual concealer for some extra oomph but unfortunatelly I find it that it only draws attention to my imperfections. I have it in O2 and I'm neutral PPP-perhaps O1 would work better for me but I'm not going to repurchase this to find out.

I think the package it super cute, but sadly that's the best thing about this. It wasn't bad, but it wasn't great either and for this price I expect great. I suppose it does brighten up the undereye area a bit, but it's nothing too noticeable and it definitely doesn't conceal anything. I do like how liquidy it is, creamier concealers always bunch up in the fine lines under my eyes and they're so hard to blend in that delicate undereye area. Sometimes I put a little around my nose to cover any mild redness, but any old concealer can do that!

This product does not cover blemishes very well, but it is a very good highlighter. I've been using it on the corner of my eyes and it makes a huge difference. I love that it's not cakey or flakey. Usually highlighters and concealers cake up on my skin, but this is very dewy.

I love this stuff, realistically, I would never pay full price for it... that's my only gripe about this product. It does what it claims, my skin certainly looks more natural (not cakey) and brighter. It doesn't cover under eye circles completely, though. Fortunately, I was able to find most of my favorite higher end cosmetic items at a local discount store at the mall. I just hope they'll never run out, and continue carrying overstocks. I bought a few of these at 60% off original price, so it should last me awhile.

I have this in shade 02 and I'm very pale, but it's a really good match. I use it on my under eye circles and find that while it doesn't totally get rid of them, it greatly lessens them and makes me look more awake and refreshed. I use it on bare skin (it works best for me when I layer), it blends well and doesn't look at all obvious or crease - which is why I love it! I didn't give it 5 stars because it doesn't completely get rid of under eye circles, but I would prefer this to having a caked on look.

I bought this because of the rave reviews. I have been using Touche Eclat for 5 yrs and thought that maybe this was an improved version. WRONG! I bought 003. It looked chalky and did not do anything that it claimed...made me look like I had racoon eyes instead of highlighting that area. Once again, Dior made a lame attempt to copy a YSL product.

Disclaimer - I didn't buy this product, only tried it on at the dior counter (the dior makeup artist put it on me). I was surprised at how little it did. I compared one eye with skinflash and the other without, and there really wasn't much difference, which I find unacceptable given the price. Dior moisturizing concealer did much more in terms of concealing my dark undereye circles, and it's cheaper for a larger tube.

i bought skinflash in 002 after reading so many great reviews about it and i'm not regretting it! i've tried the YSL's TE and L'oreal's TG and the shades that are supposedly suitable for me dont work. my mom used to say that those concealers make me look like i have white mold on my face in natural light. but with skinflash, the shade is perfect for me! i just apply it on my dark circles, my laugh lines, above and under the brow, on my chin, and on the bridge of my nose and my face instantly lights up. even though i'm actually exhausted, i look like i'm really perky. today i got my dastardly monthly breakout, and my cheeks had these red spots (more redness than pimples) and i thought skinflash wouldn't have enough coverage, but it worked well to cut the redness out. i've yet to try it with foundation though; i use it on bare skin and it looks like i've got great skin. oh i've also taken photos (with cam flash) wearing skinflash, and it doesnt make me look like a ghost. imagine having it on selected areas of your face and then having it show up on camera as ghastly white patches..eew. thank goodness i dont have to worry abt my concealer doing that to me.

I bought this product after reading great reviews it here and in magazines.Unfortunately, it seems that whatever that can go wrong with it went wrong. The 'cream' doesn't come out as required and the first time I used it I actually thought the salesgirl had forgotten to put the product in (like a cartridge or whatever). I twisted the dial many times and nothing came out. it was only when I accidentally dropped it that I noticed the product! Since then, i'd had little luck gettin it out unless I twist the dial 4-5 times. Maybe there's something wrong with it? I like the produce, packaging is beautiful, but I expect better 'performance' from the pen. And with just 1.5 gram, it's just not worth it.

I tried YSL Touche eclat and did not see any results. I was very disappointed as i had high hopes for it. I wanted to try a highlighter/concealer and after reading a lot of good reviews about skinflash, i decided to try it. I purchased it in '02' which seems to be the shade of choice for most people! I have very fair skin and this works a treat at concealing any shadows under the eye as well as highlighting. I will definitely re-purchase this.

I'm in my late 40s and have a slightly olive complexion. My shade is 02 (also 02 in Yves St Laurent Touche Eclat). It does a good job as a complexion refresher and light concealer for dark circles, comparable to but not quite as good as Touche Eclat. It isn't quite as expensive. I am happy to use either but have come down on the side of YSL as there seems to be more product in the YSL pen, the texture of the cream is a bit smoother and I think it gives me just that bit more radiance. To perk me up, I use Skinflash or YSL wherever shadows are making me look tired. So I dot and swirl and blend it here and there - usually in the dip between my lips and my chin, around my nose, nose to mouth crease, around outer eye/upper cheekbone area, inner eye/nose area. But never directly under my eyes. Any creases/lines under my eyes are invisible until I put foundation or concealer there, so I leave well alone. The pen is silver as opposed to YSL's gold. Other considerations are that this is twist-to-dispense rather than click-to-dispense and it comes in a black velvet pouch, which may appeal to you, but I thought it was of no use whatsoever. That is, until I broke the case for my slimline reading specs and the pouch was the perfect substitute. Oh happy day! I would only buy this again at a bargain price but I have clicked 'Yes' I would repurchase. It isn't out of the question.

I purchased the 02 shade from Heathrow before a flight departure. I was rather worried that the shade might be too dark as I have very dark circles. I usually use Laura Mercier SC3 (mostly the light yellow side of the compact very sparingly). I was looking for something a little lighter in texture. When I applied it I realised that I'd made a mistake, this was incredibly light on me, a VERY pale yellow. The texture and light reflecting qualities are good but I think the shade problem is influencing how I view this product. I'm just using it as a hightlighter under the brows as it is too light to use anywhere else. I'm going to take my pen to a beauty counter to compare it with their 02 and 03 shades. This shade is so light that I think there may have been a labelling mistake and my pen might be an 01 despite the box and the end of the pen saying otherwise. I'll update when I find out. I can use the YSL Touch eclat in the original shade with no problem. My skin shade is MMM and GGG with a tan.
Technically YSL has the edge with the click technology, I find turning the end to get the liquid out of Skinflash less efficient. When I'm in a hurry it's also a little iritating that there's not much to differentiate the two ends of the pen. I take it out and pull the end to remove the lid to find that I'm pulling at the twist end and not the lid, only a tiny quibble but one that nonetheless makes Touche Eclat more intelligently designed.

This little baby is worth its weight in gold. I received this from a lovely swapper and could not believe the difference it made. I have been trying heavier concealers like Becca concealer compact and while they provided great coverage, they were just too heavy and it was obvious. Maybe there is some truth to the notion of using lighter textured products as you get older. This manages to conceal, but has light diffusers in it too. It lasted all day, and my skin just looked a bit brighter and clearer. I used it around my eyes, and in the shadows on each side of my nose, and even on a blemish, and it looked great! I will never go back to heavier textured concealers because this will do the job beautifully. Lastly, it is a breeze to use and it is portable. If you are 40+ you MUST have this in your arsenal. RUN, don't walk to get this.

I purchased this several months ago, so I'm not sure why I never reviewed it. This is probably one of my favorite concealers. I got in the #002. (For reference, I am a MAC NC25.) I dot this on under the eyes and in the inner corners of the eye, and it really hides the shadows and makes me look more awake. Sometimes, when I have heavy circles, I do need to use a thicker concealer underneath, and then I just dot this on top to finish. This stuff is A LOT better than YSL's Touche Eclat, which make me look like I had some calamine lotion under my eyes.
Despite the pricetag, I wouldn't hesitate to purchase again when I run out!

After years of buying Yves St. Laurents touche eclat- and having to put up with it's diconcerting smell- I've finally found a concealer which is extremely light, but also extremely effective. It conceals and covers and brightens eyes up without causing lines, or to crack. I'm very happy with it and have bought it 4 times already.
The colour I have is 002. (And I have dry skin, and fairly olive- but with blue eyes and blonde hair) So, i prefer light shades as I like to go for the smoky eyes look and like a concealer to be bright.
EDIT: I do not use this anymore. HG Bobbi Brown Corrector.
