Love this foundation. Never thought I would want something with more than sheer coverage, but very easy to blend and you certainly can use just where you need it, rather than all over your face if required. Definitely looks very natural and just as if you have very good skin tone. Covers most of my imperfections, but still need concealer for any recent blemishes. I put some translucent loose powder over the top and it stays fresh most of the day. I still blot with rice papers halfway through the day, but I think I always will, whatever the foundation as part of my routine. Only issue is the packaging, I wish it came in a bottle with a pump as the tube is messy and needs constant wiping - it doesn't seem to stop coming out, even when you put the lid back on. Almost replaced with Lancome Miracle Teint, but the Lancome broke me out badly so pleased I only had a sample of it. Went straight back to Doublewear Light and my skin cleared immediately! Must learn not to stray again!

love this foundation-makes my skin look silky soft.
its a light to medium coverage and stays put all day.
i gave it a 4 because i use this in 3.0 which is a tad to light and intensity 4.0 is too orange.
for reference i'm a mac nc42

I am very impressed with this foundation!
I was looking for something that would last all day but didn't look cakey. Having read the reviews here I ventured for this foundation.
As people mentioned that it can be hard to blend, I decided to use it on top of my Garnier BB cream and... Ba ba boom! It is perfection! My skin glows and looks so silky! It is true that it does not cover everything, but it does make your skin look so glowey and silky in such natural way!
Just one tip, I use a hint of studio fix powder to set it, and it really looks great and last all day

not very impressed but honestly it is not a bad product. light to medium coverage-not enough for me. the coverage is obviously worse than DW original version. but it’s very natural and can last for a long time just as DW. so recommend it to those girls who dont need much coverage.

I've been using this foundation for almost a year now and I'm satisfied with it. It covers any redness, and imperfections that I might have, but I do still use a concealer for extra coverage. I use 1.0 intensity, which is the fairest but goes on a bit orange, so I go over it with a fair setting powder, which lightens it up a bit.

I decided to buy this foundation after trying the Double Wear, thinking I would like something with lighter coverage. I loved Double Wear, it comes in light enough shades for my pale skin and it kept me matte pretty much all day and does stay put very well. However, the double wear light does not come in as many shades and the lightest shade (intensity 1.0) looks orange on me when I first put it on, so I have to blend it VERY well, especially along my jawline to avoid the dreaded tide mark fiasco. It does eventually blend in and matches my skin tone.

My verdict is, that if you have oily skin you should be fine with this, it is very mattifying in my opinion, my t-zone stays relatively shine free all day, perhaps needs a minor powder touch up. It does blend alright, but not AS well as the original double wear. The consistency is not as runny as the Double Wear, so it can feel "sticky". The coverage on this is not that much different to the Double Wear, it is meant to be lighter but I think I would put it at medium to full/buildable coverage. It is a shame that they do not just do it in the same shades as the Double Wear, WHY do the high end brands do this?? Clinique are also repeat offenders of this, they bring out all these different ranges of foundations and each range has completely different colours! Intensity 1.0 is definitely not my shade at all, it isn't light enough, but it will eventually blend, you just have to persist, depends how much you like it.. (and also I cannot take it back now so I am having to deal with it). The packaging however on this one is better than the Double Wear, tubes are far more convenient than bottles, which tend to be messy.

Portable, hygienic tube. Medium thick liquid that's blendable and great for concealing, or, applied lightly, all over on oilier days or when long-lasting natural matte coverage is necessary. Not moisturizing at all, however, but fortunately it doesn't highlight flakes if skin is properly moisturized before application. Also, its mineral-based SPF doesn't irritate me. Might get it again at some point, as Intensity 1.0 is a pretty close match for my skin tone, but it's not an immediate repurchase. EDIT: Umm, this is slightly too dark and definitely too pink for my undertone. Just saw myself in bright daylight, and my neck is so yellow compared to my face in this foundation. Too bad -- if not for the shade, I would have gotten it again.

Love this. The look it gives my skin is beautiful and it lasts throughout my sweaty workday on a medical unit...somehow, despite the rough day at work, my skin keeps looking marvelous...I'm just slightly “dewy” after work...which is an unknown thing to this oily skin prior to DoubleWear Light. The fresh application gives a just this side of matte, satin finish...more matte than my natural, shiny skin, but not *matte*. As one who is finicky about foundations or concealers looking cakey or mask-like, I'm impressed with this stuff, I can't feel it on my skin, and on days off/bumming around the house, I look in the mirror and am surprised at how pretty my skin is...then I remember I'm wearing DoubleWear Light :P

I apply intensity 1 (nw20ish here) with my fingers as a light-medium coverage foundation just around my nose and out to my temples to hide my rosacea. The finish is flawless...somehow letting my natural skin show through while covering up the redness beneath. Even on days my skin is slightly on the flaky side (oh the perils of oily, rosacea skin), DoubleWear Light seems to even things out beautifully. Photographs marvelously as well.

Expensive, yes, at around $54 per tube. But just a tiny drop is all I need to cover the areas mentioned above...and the performance and finish is so perfect, it's worth every penny.

I personally break out from many different foundations (almost all mineral foundations, BB creams, almost all Chanel foundations) but this foundation does not break me out at all.
I don't think it is light - the coverage is probably more like medium.
It is not heavy enough to completely cover dark eye circles but definitely enough to cover the redness around my nose.
The finish is semi-matte to matte. I never look oily with this foundation on.
Overall, I like this foundation quite a bit. I hate the packaging however. I don't know if other people have this problem but I usually put the foundation standing up (so the gold lid is facing the counter). Because of this, so much foundation comes out non-stop. I tried for several weeks to put it laying down but it still has this problem! Even after half-way being through, it still comes out like crazy without me applying ANY pressure to the bottle. :( What a waste.
The gold lid is quite pretty though..

Love this foundation. I never seem to be able to stick to one foundation, I have never really found a foundation I really like, until now. I have just purchased my second bottled, bought my first at the end of November, so one bottle lasted about 4 months for me, and that was with almost daily use, I kid you not, a little really does go a long way! I use intensity 2 and it seems to match my skin tone really well, it blends seamlessly when using a damp make up sponge or brush, I find using a damp sponge/brush helps to make the foundation lighter for wearing during the day, and you can build it up really well in the evening. It is also easy to create a darker shade by using some bronzing powder over the top and you can build up a deeper shade really well this way, it is a great base.

It lasts all day and night and covers really well, I have blemish prone skin and when I have a blemish or two this covers really well and doesn't 'slide' off my skin like some other (even oil free) foundations, this is one of the main reasons I like it so much, it has staying power without being 'cakey'. My friend recommended the double wear original, but I find the light a much nicer texture and better suited to my oilier skin. Also hasn't caused breakouts and doesn't seem to irritate at all, if I have a blemish or redness, I know it will be immediately reduce when I apply this foundation!

I know I sound like I am plugging this a bit too much, but I am just happy to have found a foundation that I can stick with and wanted to share my experience with you all, as I know I always look on Makeup Alley before I purchase any make up/skin care...good luck girls, I hope you love it as much as I do!

**update*** I thought I would update, I was looking for a tinted moisturiser for the warmer weather coming in, but couldn't make my mind up. So during the day I have been mixing my double wear light with some Clinique dramatically different moisturising gel and it's been working a treat if you want to reduce the coverage a bit for the day time.

OK - I'm impressed. For a long time I wore power foundation applied with a kabuki brush, but I've found that as I got older this wasn't providing the coverage I wanted and the texture was too powdery. I've been trying pretty much every BB cream on the market and though some of them really even out my skin tone, and I love the idea of a high SPF, they always turned into grease slicks on my skin by the end of the day and settles into fine lines - and I have yet to find a good colour match. So I tried this. I love the buildable coverage, I love how it makes my oilies matt but doesn't dry out my cheeks. The 1.0 shade is a good match for my NW25 skin, it does not settle at ALL into my fine lines and it stays on all day! I apply a small amount with my fingers over my Clarins UV Plus and it gives a perfect, natural finish. I'm a convert.

Although it's called double wear "light" it really isn't. It's a heavy fullish coverage and it sets really matte on the skin. I mean it could be really nice f you like foundation or have some what oily skin but for a dry person who only likes tinted moisturizer like me it's a definite no no :(

This is pretty good as Double Wear , but unlike the name. 'Double Wear Light foundation' has little bit cakey texture and more heavier than "Double Wear Foundation'. I prefer double wear. Anyways this one has SPF 10 and as good as double wear. So i like it

This is the perfect foundation for me !

The coverage is buildable from medium to high depending on how much you blend it. I personnally use the size of a pea that I spread from the middle of my face to the sides with a flat kabuki brush.

Staying power is amazing : 10 hours is a minimum for this hard worker ;-)

color match can be hard to find as the range is not that wide but I use 01 in winter and 02 in summer and it blends beautifully...

I am nearly 40 and it doesn't emphasize my wrinkles, controls perfectly my Tzone

I am in love with this product , not its price though

I received a sample of this from the Estee Lauder counter. I wanted to test it out before buying the full size product. I am so glad I did this because this foundation broke me out very badly. The first few days of wearing this I didn't notice any new breakouts or clogged pores but by the 4th or 5th day my pores were getting clogged around my chin and small white bumps that are now pimples formed. As far as coverage goes, I still needed to use a concealer to cover up blemishes so I would not call this full coverage. It settled into my fine lines and enhanced patches of dry skin. So I would not recommend this to ladies with dry skin or mature skin. Also if your skin is acne-prone or sensitive this may clog your pores like it did mine so be careful.

I was looking to upgrade my foundation from the Colorstay I'm using, hoping to find something that's a dupe of it without the awful paint fume smell. This one was recommended to me, so I got a 10-day supply from the Estee Lauder counter. The shade 2.0 is a good match for my NC25-NC30 complexion, not great, but adequate given the yellow base. However, the coverage was not as good as for Colorstay and the floral scent of the Double Wear Light (DWL) was equally as noxious as the smell of the Colorstay. DWL was also harder to take off, even with my oil cleanser. I guess I will stick with Colorstay for now. I'm going to pass on trying the original Double Wear because I'm guessing it will have the same strong floral scent.

This becomes my new daily foundation. I am perfectly matched with the shade 2.5 since shade 2 is lighter and shade 3 is a bit darker than my skin. It is easy to apply. I can use my fingers to apply it after mosturiser and sunscreen. The finish look is semi-matte. In winter, I don't need to set it with the powder. In summer, after put the setting powder on, It can stay put on my oily face at least 5-6 hours which is a great experience for me ever. After using blotting paper, it can really get back to perfect finish look. I also got a sample of original double wear foundation and I found that it is good for oily skin as well. But I prefer the finish look of the light version. It is not too matte and too perfect for my daily use, however it is buildable if I want perfect matte look for any occasions.
The only cons I found is the way I look in the photograph in evening events. It's not as good as when I used graftobian creme foundation. I don't know if it's a result of spf10 ingredient reflected by camera flash. But for outdoor photogragh without using flash, it is still great. That's why I really really love this foundation.

This foundation is great if you are looking for something that will last all day, the texture is nice however i have combination skin and find this does not give the finish i want. I find foundations for combination skin are all too matte which is great for the t zone but dulls the rest of the face as does this foundation. The best i have tried is Chanel pro lumiere, shame it been discontinued!

I've gone through my share of EL foundations, and have found this to be the best.

I have combination, sensitive and acne-prone skin so I look for three things in a foundation, all of which this products satisfies:

1) Doesn't clog pores, oil free, doesn't irritate sensitive skin. Even more, doesn't cause oil build up in t-zone. And will not come off or smudge if you rub your face and what not. Not sticky.

2) Has a medium-to-full blend. If I want a sheer look, I add water. If I want medium coverage, I apply as normal. And if a full covered look is desired ,this product layers well.

3) Last +15 hours. I've had this one for over 24 hours on some occasions, and it was still going strong.

I used to break out, and I thought it was because of this product. But I realized it was because I wasn't used a proper makeup remover.

I use Take it Away make up remover for the face, and this product just dissolves away perfectly.

Love it.
