You can never EVER go wrong with the classics. Not for oily skin though.

This product is way to greasy for me. I rarely break out, but using this even once makes my face a mess. Also, it burns my skin. I find the smell to be pleasant, but the greasiness is just too much!

Ponds Cold Cream
AKA GREASEBAG CENTRAL USA!
Gross I got this stuff because it was buy one get one free! I needed just a cleanser real quick because I had run out so I decided to try something new and because there were so few ingredients I figured this would be ok. NOOOOOOOO I apllied it to my face following directions and I thought for a second maybe I had bought cream not a cleanser! It was so DISGUSTING just waxy and greasy and the smell !!!!! The smell smells like a depilatory cream! Gross I do not even want to think about it anymore! Overall awful product.

My grandmother used Pond's every night for over 70 years and didn't have a single wrinkle until she was in her late 60s. I just started using it about 10 months ago and absolutely LOVE it. I rub it into my (wet) face with my hands and then wipe it off with a warm, wet washcloth. You can still feel the moisture on your face once you've wiped it off, but it leaves your skin incredibly soft and really does clean your pores. I haven't had any acne problems since I started using this product. Best stuff on earth, and absolutely killer for removing makeup, too! I don't wear makup everyday, but when I do, it works like a charm!

If you ladies ever feel the need to remove waterproof eyeliner and mascara w/ ease.. this is the product for you. With just one swipe, EVERYTHiNG comes off. It is very creamy.. but after removing it, all you need is water and cleanser to remove's its own trace left behind. This is just as good as Lancome's bifacial but w/o the hefty cost. After discovering this product, I bought another tub just in case. A little goes a long way though.

It is good to remove make-ups, but i do not like the greasy feeling that it left on my face, so I always use sth else to complete the cleaning.
Overall, its performance is OK at its price.

Combo, Sensitive, Mild Rosacea>>Pond's cold cream is an old favorite of mine..I use it to remove just my eye makeup as it's too rich for me to use as an all over cleanser. It cuts right through mascara and the added benefit is that it conditions your lashes! I have no irritation issues with this and it's dirt cheap! I have recently rediscovered this and glad I did as my 30-something eyes need all the moisture they can get!

I have a two-step facial cleansing routine, (if i wore a full face of MU) and this cold cream is step one. I either use this on a dry or wet face, but i put on the cream very generously and gently rub this in circles. The first time i used this, i was FLOORED how greasy this felt, but i gave it a chance ;) hee..you can take all the remaining greasy feeling off ur hands and face w/ a very warm towel to gently wipe. Very great deal, and perfect for my dry skin!

I did not like this product. I love the texture of it and how it feels as I massaged my skin with it but that was all I liked. Instead of feeling clean my skin felt like there was this greasy film over it, so greasy that I feel congested when i put moisturizer over it. It didn't clean my skin properly or take off much of my make-up. It also smells like baby products. I still have half a pot of this stuff and don't think I'll be finishing it.

This is the cheapest but effective cleanser that I've ever used! It removes all the makeup, including waterprrof mascara, and it makes my skin so soft afterwards. I don't use it followed by a normal cleanser unless it is summer time. I always bought it when I was tight in budget.

Great product! I tend to go for products that have a long history such as Pond's, 100 years old, Cold cream- it lasted this long it must be good! I love using this as a winter-time cleanser as is cleans, moisturizes, and removes makeup and doesn't cause breakouts. In the winter I keep a tub near my bedside with a box of tissues to remove the days grime while I watch my fav. tv shows, then dab a little extra under my eyes as eye cream. Tons of raves! Update: no longer use as Pond's (Procter & Gamble) does animal testing:(

I absolutely adore Ponds and can't imagine ever using anything else. I love to massage this cream over my face, neck, and decollete, and then leave it alone for a few minutes before gently wiping it away with a warm washcloth. Leaves my skin so soft and smooth. The inexpensive price allows for liberal application. The main ingredient is mineral oil, but don't let that scare you - this product won't clog pores.

Dirt cheap and highly effective, I've been using this one for years and years now - massage in, taking your time with the massage, tissue off, and THEN ... wipe your face down with a wash cloth wrung out in quite warm water. That dissolves the residue and leaves you with perfect skin - the washcloth exfoliates while the cold cream cleases/moisturizes. Do it nightly and you'll see a great improvement in skin of any age or condition. Follow up with some witch hazel on a cotton ball. You can't get less expensive and many more expensive products or product combinations don't work half as well.
Makes more laundry to do but it's worth it.

This removes waterproof m/u, sunscreen etc no doubt about it. HOWEVER, trying to remove the cold cream/makeup/oily slushy remnants thoroughly is a nightmare. I had to spend close to 15 minutes of repeated tissue-ing off followed by a cleanser, a toner, then wash again etc etc. I could still *feel* the cream deep in my pores, evident by the lingering fragrance, and never felt clean or confident enough to go to bed. I find that the cream irritates my eyes (maybe the fragrance?), so it doesnt work as a eye m/u remover for me. This old school cold cream is just not the right cleansing product for someone unwilling to spend more than 2 mins on her face at night (ie. me). There are alternative cleansing creams available now that are much less bothersome to use as they come in water-soluble formulas, such as Kose, Kanebo etc. Obviously, I would not repurchase. However, at such a cheap price I would recommend this to someone (who has mature skin) and is looking for a basic no-frills m/u remover.

The packaging is simply, with a screw off lid and its definately dirt cheap. Does its job well at removing makeup. And it has a pleasant smell. Anyone with sensitive skin can use it because its pretty gentle on the skin. Hasn't broke me out, not even once. This is one product that is worth buying because of its effectiveness and the price. Why pay so much for high end makeup remover when you can get something this cheap that performs equally the same! Loves its moisturizing properties too.

My grandmother is in her 70's and she always used this on her face at night; even if she hadn't wore her foundation during the day. Her skin is still fabulous! I am using the Pond's cleansing towelettes & their Dry Skin Cream & I give them both 5 lippies. This I use in the early winter. I love every Pond's product that I use. Plus my hubbie love the scent of Pond's products.

This is such a classic product that even my mom uses. I love this. This removes my makeup 100%. It even removes eye makeup (although I use Lancome's Bificils). This is a product that you tissue off. Also, it is a bit greasy but since I have dry skin I love it. I use this when I'm traveling, because it is a one step makeup remover (at home I use their towlettes, IOPE cleansing cream with sponge, Lancome's Bificils). Wonderful to have!

My mother, 68 with beautiful skin, has used this for about 50 years. Pond's Cold Cream takes off makeup, even stubborn waterproof mascara or long-lasting lipstick, extremely well. leaving skin with no dirt or makeup, only an emollient residue. You may or may not find that pleasant or appropriate for your skin. I am not crazy about two steps - 1 - removing makeup and -2- cleansing skin. This might do both, but I always feel like I need soap and water after. So, minus a lippie for that, but really, my mom's skin is gorgeous.
Updated - my mom is 74 now, still uses this, is still beautiful.

i will never ever EVER use anything else for removing eye makeup. with one swipe, all my eyeshadow, eyeliner, and mascara are gone. it's so easy and so cheap! after i use it as a makeup remover, i wash my face with a gentle cleanser. sometimes i put the cold cream on my face for extra deep cleansing. i love how i can use it without water for makeup removal, and then only have to wipe my eyes with a damp cloth to remove any residue. perfect!

I love this! I use it for massage facials on both me and my boyfriend. Very softening, it does leave a greasy residue but I get rid of that by wiping with a wet washcloth and then using Thayer's Original Witch Hazel astringent on a cotton ball.
