I was really surprised at the mixed reviews on this- I absolutely swear by this. I am on my second container (first one lasted me about 3 months using it day and night and sometimes in between) and it has made all the difference in my skin. When I ran out I waited a couple of weeks to repurchase (it IS expensive, so have to budget for it :) ), and went back to using some BP product I had laying around, and my skin went back to being red and irritated and broken out. I do well with sulfur products, however, so I guess it's a matter of what your skin reacts well to. But if you have luck with sulfur like me, this is so, so recommended.

I LOVE this! It works fast and effectively. My pimple will go away in 2-3 days!! Doesn't dry out your skin or cause any irritation. I will always have this in my routine.

I ordered this roduct from QVC, and had pretty high hopes. I found that it didnt really do much for my acne. It also smells horrible. I DO love the brush it came with though, and I will continue to use it for concealing :)

This is great for acne. It doesn't provide much coverage, but it seems to dry out the zits that I have. It has a nice minty smell too. But be careful if you have dry flaky skin because it will really highlight it like most Bare Mineral products do.

this product was hard to get used to as an "acne treatment" because i'm so used to acne treatments as being something liquid or gel like that i feel i can rub into my skin and actually be absorbed...
so it took some getting used to having a powder like concealer be my acne treatment.
i was diappointed in this product, and really have been disappointed with this whole 'rare minerals' line, even with as much as i love bare minerals. i haven't quite figured it out yet - but i started the whole rare minerals system because i got one of those kits from QVC that contained the rare minerals facial cleanser, the blemish therapy, and the rare minerals night renewal. i haven't quite figured out which one is making me break out because i started them all at the same time, but one of them in making my forehead that used to be smooth, now complete bump city. tiny whitehead bumps everywhere - it feels disgusting and looks like some kind of rash.
i've used the blemish therapy as a spot treatment, but really didn't see any improvements or results overnight. it smells like sulfur (because it is) as well, which isn't the greatest smell ever. if you've ever used the free mask that comes with proactiv's system - it smells a lot like that.

I have been using this about a year and it works great for my occasional break outs -- much better than any over the counter acne medicine I have ever tried. When I first see a blemish popping up, I apply and while the instructions say to "gently pat it on" I really kind of rub it in with the brush. It is best to use at night, and I swear by the next day the blemish will either: not even surface; be greatly reduced; be less red. I will also apply again in the morning before makeup. It has a gentle peeling effect that does not irritate my skin and also reduces inflammation. The smell is from the sulfur, which is an ingredient in old-time acne products that I remember, so it doesn't bother me. I think this not only clears up the blemish much sooner, but I have much less redness after, which has helped me finally have nice, clear, makeup optional skin (along with Philosophy exfoliating cleanser and Aveda shammy, which I have also reviewed). It seems this doesn't work for everyone, so I say order from QVC where you could try it for awhile and send it back. Also, if you have widespread acne, this might be too costly to use.

i honestly dont know how there are so many bad reviews, i love this product! i tend to break out quite a bit and if i feel a pimple coming in i put this on at night and under my makeup in the morning and the pimple is gone. i wish i would have discovered this sooner! the only downside is that is does smell a little funky but its a small price to pay for this amazing product!

Another waste of money. It does absolutely nothing. I hoper to wear it under my mineral foundation during the day, but the brush is a total crap, itīs very hard to apply the treatment just at the correct place. it also smells weird. definitely wonīt repurchase.

Waste of time. Does nothing. Smells like a dentist office. Good old benzoyl peroxide is 1000x better for spot treatment.

Wow. This product was a disappointing purchase. Made me break out worse.
So tired of searching for the HG acne treatment.

I really like this product. I like that it's powder and doesnt' need time to dry on my face. I get an occasional breakout and products with sulfer really work for me. I love this.

I purchased this product at Sephora after my mom decided to whip out a brush and sample it on my face. I had broken out on one cheek, so she figured she'd give the product a shot on me! Although it didn't cover the breakout, it was effective at covering some blemishes along my chin.

I decided to go ahead and purchase the product, and I'm glad I did. It works well as an on-the-spot treatment. It really does help dry out zits, especially those little buggers that just don't want to go away.

The only thing that I really don't like is the scent. It smells like...wood? Rotting oranges? I really can't explain it.

This is NOT the miracle product for acne resolution; however, I use AcneFree to minimize my acne problem, and when a blemish breaks through, usually once a month, I apply the blemish therapy, and I swear it resolves faster than when I leave it alone. It's expensive, but for someone with occasional flare-ups, like me, it's wonderful!

I was sold on this product by a representative at the local bare minerals store because I went in looking for a new jar of foundation and the sales rep noticed my breakouts. She sold me this telling me it would get rid of my bumps. I was excited to give it a try. But this stuff only made my breakouts worse and left them more painful, red and swollen. I thought maybe it was just that one time, so I tried it again a few weeks later on a new pimple. The same thing happened again. Did I mention that this product smells awful?

I had (still have I guess) a HUGE pimple right between my eyes on the bridge of my nose. And I have had it for about what seems like two weeks. It goes up in size, down in size but has never gone away. I tried everything I could to get rid of this as well - overnight masks, Persa-gel, scrubbing, even contemplating taking a pin to it and popping it (I didn't, but it was beyond tempting). It has been sooooo maddening!!!

I rarely get breakouts and when I do they are hormonal and just one or two. But this one surpised me by how long it has decided to stick around! I got this blemish treatment as a deluxe sample from Sephora and tried it last night. This morning it is definitely smaller, it is quite dried out and way less red. Finally!!! Yay! So...maybe this is just for spot treatment? Either way I am glad this SOB of a zit is finally going away!! One thing is the skin around it is super dry as well...which I could care less about - I WANT IT GONE! Dry skin or not! ;) The smell isn't too bad to me - kind of methol and sulphur maybe? I have used products that smell worse.

Would I buy this? Yes. If it gets rid of zits like these - YES! However the deluxe sample should probably last me for a couple months.

The reviews on here are so mixed! this product has done nothing for me. I have not seen any improvement on my skin. It smells awful. and way too pricey. Not worth it in my opinion. I love Bare escentuals products but this was very disappointing. I haven't used it too consistently so that could be apart of my problem but I think the reason I havent used it a ton is because the smell bothered me too much and the times I have used it I saw no results what so ever.

Didn't do much for me. If I have a large pimple (which isn't often nowadays) I will put it on the spot under my makeup, but when I have had a breakout I didn't notice any significant difference like the product promises.

I've been using a sulphur cleanser for my rosacea at night for years. So when I heard that BE made a little sulphur based blemish powder I was interested.

I'd had good luck with the rare mineral night treatment so I thought what the hey? And I find I like this. I get rosacea breakouts occasionally when I torture my face with new or suspicious products and I was getting over some spots when this arrived from QVC. Tried that night and noticed a marked improvement in the spots overnight.

And since I can spot treat it means I don't have to subject my entire face of dry skin to get the sulphur benefit as in the case of using my sulphur cleanser. Yeah it stinks but it's sulphur!!

Wish the pot was bigger and if you need this all over your face you're not going to be happy with the price but for my spot needs, it works!

It's a good product to use under makeup rather than having nothing. That's pretty much it. I haven't seen any dramatic effects though.
