Ugh, Ms. Carey- what were you thinking allowing this product to be licensed under your name??? This scent is truly the epitome of generic, cheap smelling, celebrity fragrances. It smells incredibly sweet, very reiminiscent of a cheaper, more vulgar version of a Britney Spear's fragrance (though even Ms. Spears perfume line puts M to shame!) So disappointing, especially coming from Mariah Carey who so forcefully peddles her "glamorous, diva" image on us. This fragrance is cheap & tacky, just like her clothing!

You can smell just like M for way cheap by picking up a bar of Zest & furiously rubbing it all over yourself! Maybe some people like it but I just don't get why women would spend this much money to smell like they ran out of body wash this morning & had to use their husband's Irish Spring :/
This smells like soap. Period. No flowers, no marshmallow, just SOAP. And not even good soap at that, it smells like mens' deodorant soap. It smells like cheap prosti-tot spritz, like something you'd find next to the Baby Soft & Teen Spirit deodorant, with a name like "Fantasma" or something. Now bear in mind it doesn't smell TERRIBLE, just really friggin' soapy & rather boring.

I really not a perfume person. It usually takes me years to get through the average size bottle. Heavy scents give me headaches. I love this scent. It is light and airy yet it last all day long. I have not love a scent like this since Ralph Lauren's Glamorous.

Open a can of the very cheapest bathroom deodorant you can find. Spray on self. You are now wearing Mariah Carey's "M".

I'd been using nothing but Britney Spears "Fantasy" for the past few months and considered it my HG. However, it's just too strong to wear during the day, regardless of the compliments I get on it. So, seeing as I love Mariah (I seem to be one of the few on here who do!) I decided to try it out.
M is definately a floriental scent. It has top notes of marshmallow and sea breeze accord, a heart of Living Tahitian Tiare and gardenia and a drydown of sheer amber, patchouli and Moroccan incense. It is quite a sweet perfume, but not too sweet so that it makes you want to gag (pink sugar cough cough!). The sea breeze accord lightens up the toasted sugar in the top notes, but only a little; it is mostly marshmallow. It isn't a heavy scent though, it's one you can wear during the day and not feel suffocated by. The dry down is pale musky woods, still fairly sweet, and a smidgen of creamy vanilla.
I find the price to be very good - I got a 100ml bottle for £27 when it usually retails for £42! The bottle itself is gorgeous, purple with a cute little butterfly cap...it looks very glamorous on my dressing table.
I have recieved many compliments when wearing this, and to be honest, I think I smell divine also. It has become my HG daytime scent, while "fantasy" is my night time HG. I would definately repurchase.

This fragrance is so mild, yet still really sexy. It isn't one of those overwhelming scents but you can definitely still smell it AND
I get compliments on it almost everyday.
Try it on at your fav. fragrance spot because it smells way different of each person. My friend tried it on and it smelled musky on her, not cute. I get more of a sweet, light pacific island floral smell, very subtle though.

I had to give this scent a good rating as i was impressed and always expect the least from 'Celebrity Fragrances'. It is a soft fruity creamy yummy marshmallow/vanilla scent. I must admit that this is way better than Pink Sugar as it is not cloying to me having been an Ex Pink Sugar fan! This lasts for ages which is a bonus. However since i own a variety of sweet gourmand based fragrances which smell similar. For this reason i wouldn't go out of the way to buy this. If i had tried this first then yes, i definitely would....it smells so nice in the dry down.

I love everything about this fragrance. It smells divine and the lasting power is better than that of any of the other fragrances that I own. Also, the bottle is quite stunning. I am sure that I would buy this again and again.

Love it! Would absolutely buy this again. Bottle is pretty too. Perfectly girly and sweet but not super overpoweringly sweet. Just right on my skin.

Just got the shock of my life. This smells great on me. Usually celebrity scents are a let down for me but this smelled like freshly baked gingerbread cookies with burnt sugar sprinkles.
There is a sweet creamy quality which when mixed with amber incense becomes mysterious and sexy. Strictly for colder weather though as it will be gag inducing in the summer.
Something Comptoire de Sud Pacifique would make.

This is a great fragrance if you like mothballs spiked with fruit punch.

i like this product, it lasts quite long even though i have dancing practice after school everyday. <3

Unlike most people, I've always been a fan of Mariah but NEVER a fan of celebrity fragrances. I always thought they were tacky. But then again, some are very well made...Lovely by SJP as well as this one. The M by Mariah has a sweet, incense-y smell to it and it melts into the skin very nicely. In my opinion, it's never cloying or overly sweet. However, it's not a very memorable fragrance since I feel like I've smelled this before. Overall though, it's a pleasant fragrance, if applied lightly - 1-2 spritzes will do.

I purchased this over the weekend attempting to expand my perfume wardrobe. I really wasn't looking for Mariah's fragrance, per se, but I wanted something different. I tested it on my arm and was surprised to realize I actually didn't cringe, sneeze, have watery eyes or just plain didn't like it. It smelled of a warm, sunny day in Vegas with a hint of sweetness. I figured I could give it a whirl~ I am on my second day wearing it and it didn't offend my coworkers nor my cat. LOL I suppose I would purchase it again as a summer scent though.

this mariah carey perfume just so happens to be the original version with the lotion. The perfume smells heavenly and the lotion has a sheer color to it.It was very expensive for the set and it is still in the collectors edition box.

I have only smelled this at perfume counters (several times tho), but I thought this smelled SO sweet....and NOT in a good way. I took one sniff and was instantly not feeling it...waaaaaayyyyyyyy too sweet... sorry mariah.

I never tried this because of the reviews and because Mariah Carey annoys me. I saw it at CVS and decided to test it. This fragrance smelled so pretty on me. I don't get a marshmallow or smoky scent. It just blends very beautifully on me. It's warm, sweet and sophisticated.
Age: 19-24 Skin: Acne-prone, Fair-Medium Hair: Black Eyes: Black
This smells absolutely as beautiful as Mariah's songs.
