Did nothing to thicken my lashes; Doll Eye Volume is a 'wetter' mascara than their lengthening version. Still, this didn't make a difference in quality. Will not repurchase.

This has got to be my HG for mascara. Over the summer I had a mascara CRAZE and I just bought a whole lot of mascara hoping I'd find THE ONE. From Maxfactor (which clumped so bad) to Maybelline's Colossal (which did nothing) ..... none could compare to this Nyx Dolleye. I have long eyelashes for an Asian girl but they're very thin. With a quick curl and a couple coats of this, I look like I'm wearing fakies but I'm not. I got plenty of compliments and it's just perfect! Price is ohsovery good tooo!

I just picked this up yesterday because I really love the Doll Eye Long Lash mascara. It is actually one of my favorites!

I am wearing the Volume one right now. It is nice but not as good as the Long Lash version. I didn't really notice that much volume and as said by the poster below it separates the lashes well. I wasn't able to build it up as much as I was with Long Lash either.

Overall, I don't hate this mascara but it isn't my all time favorite. I will still use it to see if maybe things improve. I know I have tried some things the first time and they weren't that great until I revisited them.

At this point I am not sure if I would repurchase, I will update if things change.

For $10 I expected way more than what I got! there was hardly any product on the brush and did nothing as far as the volume..I will admit that the brush separated my eyelashes very well...but not happy at all...two thumbs DOWN!

I purchased this after using and loving Doll Eyes Long Lash, and in the future I will probably repurchase Volume instead of Long Lash based on my needs. Volume holds a curl and does a good job of thickening lashes; however, this gives a natural look and not a dramatic false lash look-I'm still looking for a dramatic mascara so let me know if you find one!

My standards for a good mascara aren't that high, because basically I only look for ones that will NOT give me a "raccoon eye." This doesn't!! It gives me a really natural look and I like that because I don't like wearing a lot of makeup. The price is cheap too, and I like it!!

Worthwhile mascara. Gives you a thick fan of lashes, without clumpiness or smudging. Noticeable, without looking spidery :)

I am SO glad I saw that Ulta was having a sale buy 2 get 1 free on NYX. I've been wanting to try NYX makeup for awhile...Before going to Ulta I checked MUA, found this product's review, and added to the list. Let me just say that I claimed Prescriptives False Lashes and Too Faced Lash Injection to be my HG mascaras. This one is very comparable, but at only $10 [and apparently cheaper at CherryCultures]. The brush is like an hourglass, which makes it super easy to apply this. I feel like the part that curves in boosts the curl in my lashes. I also don't need to struggle when applying it to the lashes at the inner and outer corner of my eyes. Sometime with TF and Prescriptives mascara, if I'm really tired/sleep-deprived, after maybe 4 hours there will be a little bit of smear, but this one there is absolutely none. I had 6 hours of sleep last night, and there was no smear. I'm going to buy this over and over again and perhaps not spend $20 on mascara anymore!!

Ah, the hype for this product! I feel gypped that I bought this for $10 at Ulta when CherryCulture.com has it for $7 and it's worth...maybe $3?

I have relatively sparse but long and naturally curled-upwards lashes, and my go-to mascara is Clinique's Naturally Glossy. I wanted something to give more volume, however, so I tried this. It was pretty easy to apply--the hourglass-shaped wand didn't cause me any trouble. Any smudges were easily q-tipped away with water. I didn't experience any clumping, and the mascara wore well, with no flaking and no raccoon-eyes. The problem? I didn't experience any increase in volume! I read the box again to be sure I'd purchased the correct product, which I had. WTH? It still seemed like a pretty good mascara, and I figured I'd go ahead and put it in my rotation...until I tried to wash it off. Holy cow, this stuff was terrible to remove! It left big black circles under my eyes, but it also left weird little black balls of goo on my undereye area that did NOT wipe off with a finger or a tissue. I used my usual cleanser (twice), then a toner-soaked cotton-ball (twice), and then I got out the Vaseline. That finally did the trick, but when I washed again to get the Vaseline off, a few more black goo-balls showed up under my eyes and I had to use Vaseline again.

Need I say that this is NOT going in the mascara rotation. I'd rather spend my evening flossing than battling balls of black goo.

I really like this mascara. I have tried the other NYX doll eyes formula, the long lash one, and prefer this formula. It makes my lashes look much thicker and voluminous and even a little longer. It doesn't smudge, which is probably my favorite feature. My friend commented on how I never have "racoon eyes," and I swear it's because of this mascara. My only complaint is that it tends to clump sometimes on the wand, which is annoying. I won't call it my HG mascara yet, as I plan on trying a few others first, but it is quite good.

*edited to add that I am declaring this my HG mascara, despite the clumping issue, because it just plain works, every time, without fail.*

I bought a tube of Doll Eye mascara (volume formula) at Ulta after hearing a lot about it here on MUA. I've used it in rotation with a few other mascaras for a little over a month now. Doll Eye noticeably enhances volume with one coat and a more dramatic look can be achieved with two. As other reviewers have noted, clumping can be a problem. As I have been looking for a cheaper substitute for my all-time favorite volumizing mascara (Lancome Hypnose), the tendency to clump at times was the one real downside of this product. However, with careful application and attention to the amount of mascara that is on the brush I think this limitation can be overcome.

I think the brush is actually my favorite thing about Doll Eye. It seems to almost grab onto my lashes as I sweep it over them. I like that the brush is big enough to cover a lot of area but not so gigantic (ahem, DiorShow) as to be unwieldy and accident-prone. After I'm done with this tube I'm going to keep the brush and try using it with Hypnose as an experiment.

Staying power is fine. I didn't notice any flaking or weird changes over the course of the day. Since I don't have problems with running or smearing during the day with most mascaras, I can't comment on that. Likewise, I can't comment on how it holds a curl because I don't curl my lashes. This mascara does have a slightly drier and stiffer feel than some others I've tried, but since I don't go around touching my lashes all day that's really not an issue.

Overall, here's my impression:

PROS: Nice packaging, reasonable price, good volumizing ability, great brush

CONS: Tends to clump, feels a little dry on, slightly more difficult than average to remove (as non-waterproof mascaras go)

I purchased this product because I was able to purchase it on the cheap. It's one of those purchases that quickly made its way to my "save for later" bag as I didn't really NEED it and I didn't have high hopes for it as masacaras that promise volume tend to let down. This is a great mascara. And I think the "gift" is in the brush, which is rather full and shaped sort of like an hour glass. I find it easy to apply the mascara to my innermost and outermost lashes. The masacara gives you a full "falsie effect" which I love. This is the first time I've achieved full lashes from the inner corner to outer corner of my eye. In fact, I don't think I've ever been "wowed" over a mascara before. This mascara delivers length and volume without the need for multiple coats which is a wonderful bonus. I'm a happy camper. This mascara is serious competition for all the other mascara tubes in my beauty bag.

Okay, I had to edit this. I thought this mascara was great, but turns out it LOVES to flake and a tube for me lasted an average of two weeks before drying out. The quest continues...

This is a really good dramatic look mascara. Delivers volume and length with a beautiful finish. Can clump if there is too much product but its worth the risk. Wish I could give 4.5.

LOVE. It does require a bit of technique, I have to wipe off the brush. Long, full lashes that last all day and my contacts are fine!

OK, may be a premature review because I JUST bought and tried it on, but I love it.

Real doll eye lashes. I've never seen my eyelashes look so long. I curled them beforehand, of course, but putting on the mascara, they somehow pointed up even higher, and had an even prettier doll-ish curl.

It's the kind of "dry" mascara that doesn't show the first few strokes, but you build up and it starts to get really pretty, and NO clumps!

I tried my lower lashes but that was a no go, spider-legs all the way. But that's OK, I only need the tops done.

***More of a lengthening than a volumizing mascara. But that's what I was going for anyway. I bought NYX Doll Eye Long Lash and it sucked..just weird thin spidery lashes, I don't know why it's rated higher than this one. So I read the reviews here on this volumizing one and someone wrote that this does a better job of lengthening than volumizing and decided to try this.

Only reason it's a 4 and not a 5..it's not a very dark black. Looks pretty soft. More Pretty than dramatic. By all means still noticeable, but I think you get what I mean. But if it turns out I just need to keep building/stroking it on for maximum effect I'll for sure edit this post. If not, just know that you won't really get dramatic dark lashes.

Total HG mascara. Amazing all day performance with no smudging! A drier mascara which I love. Hard to find in my area, so pick up as many as I can when I find it. Beautiful product!

Wow, I think I just found my new favorite mascara!! For $6.99 this product makes my lashes super thick black. It's gorgeous! I've paid more than twice as much for majorly disappointing mascara. Be warned though, You MUST take your time with this an apply it carefully and I recommend combing your lashes out afterwards, but if you take the extra minute and a half you won't be disappointed! If you can find NYX products, I highly recommend trying this mascara out.

I bought one of these at Ulta after reading reviews, and I was so impressed that I returned and took advantage of the "Buy 2 get 2 Free" deal. It works amazing on my upper lashes, but not to much on my lower. I stick with my Stila Major Lash for the bottom lashes, because I find this one makes the little wimpy lashes too spidery. But it's perfect and dramatic for the upper lashes.
