I have used Long Pretty Lashes since it first came out. I switch between black and brown/black, and use it for every-day and for going-out. Some users have complained that it wasn't thick enough. I just layer it on, like maybe 4 or 5 times. Doesn't clump; lashes are always separated and defined. I get asked all the time, by pretty much all of my girl-friends at this point, what mascara I use. Have never had a problem with this mascara. Tube lasts a long time, and the consistency actually gets better after using it for a couple weeks.

I've tried many other expensive department store mascaras but I've always kept coming back to Clinique's Long Pretty Lashes. My favourite thing about it is that the formula isn't really wet, so it doesn't clump and smudge easily, which I can't stand. I don't like volumizing mascaras for this reason.. As for the lengthening qualities of this mascara, I think it does a good job. My lashes aren't naturally very long and this mascara does a great job of lengthening them and holding a curl all day. The trick is to use many, many coats.. this may sound like a hassle but it's not so bad because you can put on coat after coat with NO CLUMPING, so that makes application a lot faster. I've also found this mascara to be easy to remove and non-irritating to my sensitive eyes and it doesn't run when my contacts make my eyes irritated and watery because of dust, etc. Another great point: It is cheaper than other department store mascaras. Give it a try.. just remember to use many coats!!

This was just too soft for me--even for day. My eyes are the only thing I emphasize during the day time (not my lips), and I want them to be big and bright--especially since I have brown eyes. This was just too sheer, light, and not dramatic enough.

This is an apt name for this mascara. It actually did make my lashes longer and look prettier, giving them a black "wet" look that I especially liked. I can see how this mascara could be a staple for someone who's going for more of a lengthening effect, but in my case I need volume, so that is why I gave this less than 4 stars. The reason I gave it 3 is because this mascara smears, which I just can't handle in a mascara- I hate having black smudges underneath my eyes, and this does it. If you don't have much of a problem with mascaras smudging, then this should work for you.

I love this mascara and it's absolutely the best I've tried so far. Unfortunately, for some reason it really began to irritate my eyes so I had to quit using it :( I find it odd since Clinique is supposedly good for sensitive eyes and mine aren't even normally sensitive... but oh well. I definitely recommend trying it, this is the only mascara I've used that NEVER clumped on me.

This is an everyday mascara. I'ver been looking for mascaras for a while but i bought this for the hell of it. This mascara really lengthens as the name is 'prety long lashes' go figure. It does as you expect. :) This isn't a bad mascara. I wouldn't mind purchasing it again for everyday use.

I remember I used this product a long time ago and it did a great job on my lashes. This is one of the only few mascaras that I remember being really great. I'll probably get another one of these when I run out of my current mascara.

I've had 2-3 tubes of this. I used it for a while as my day-to-day mascara when I didn't need to look great or dramatic or anything. Eventually I tired of paying $14 when I could get better results for $4 at the drugstore. Anyway, it isn't a bad product, it just isn't good enough. It does lengthen the lashes some, though it doesn't add thickness. It is moist enough that it does not dry or flake, and it holds curl decently. However, it has a tendency to make my lashes group together into pointy little spikes, despite my best efforts. The length it adds is not significant. Perhaps what I found most annoying was that (and I'm not sure if this is because of the design of the tube or the product itself) before long, the stuff is hardly usable because it has formed a massive glob on the applicator. I should mention that I have sensitive eyes and this did not irritate them at all. Overall, it's a subtle, okay product, but you can do better no matter what price you want to pay.

I thought I liked this mascara, but alas, I do not. It gives a soft look for day, but by 2pm it was smeared all over my undereye area. BOO. Will definitely not repurchase. The quest for HG continues.

This product works really well, but only for a certain amount of time. It thickens more then it makes lashes longer. I didn't notice much of a difference as far as length even after the 2nd coat. It's highly priced, but the packaging is great. I haven't even had it for a month and I notice if I leave it on for longer than 7 hours it starts to sting my eyes and it feels like its going into my contacts. For sensitive eyes I wouldn't recommend it, or for prolonged usage, but if you're wearing it for just a few hours it looks great.

For a mascara made by a high-end brand, I find this incredibly mediocre. Its lengthening properties aren't very good, which is what I was looking for when I bought it. It isn't a bad product per se, but I certainly won't repurchase this given what they charge for it.

I like this mascara because it leaves my lashes super soft and the color is very true black and glossy. The packaging is simple and easy to maintain control of. The only problem I have is that it doesn't seem to hold a good curl on my lashes. It achieves a very natural look.

I really wanted to like this mascara, but it just isnt for me. Firstly, far too much product gets on the brush which causes massive black clumps that stung my eyes. When i finished applying, i have to say my lashes didnt look bad, feathery and pretty long but my main complaint with this mascara is its staying power. After less than an hour my lashes looked like they had nothing on and i had little black flakes all over my eyes which just got worse as the day went on. So overall, not a good mascara with a moderate price, i reckon i'll stick to my amazing Unstoppable(see my review).

Just like many others have already stated, this product gives you just what it says; long, pretty lashes. This is my HG mascara for work because it is perfect when you want to look very natural, fresh, pretty, and not overly made-up. This mascara does NOT add volume, nor does it claim to, so don't expect it to plump up your lashes. This mascara is perfect if you work in a conservative environment like a school or office. Also great to wear on the weekends for things like running errands. Not a good going out at night mascara.

This is my HG mascara, I love it! It does just what it says - makes my lashes long and pretty! It looks natural, yet not TOO natural. It never clumps or smudges on me and lasts all day. It's definitely worth the price.

well, i bought this mascara yesterday.i applied it it looked OK, nothing very special but ok.after five minutes i have got such a reaction, i never forget...
my eyes started burningm stinging, today my eyes still red!!!!
careful if you got sensitive eyes!!!!

I'm a mascara gal... and I've tried every mascara out there. But no matter how many I try I always go back to this one. I just love this mascara. I buy it in black/brown and it gives my eyes a beautiful flirty fringe. I usually layer a little of the same mascara in black on the edges of my lashes to make them look extra long. I don't know why I keep playing the mascara field when I have this wonderful at home. I'm sticking by it from now on.

I have very thin lashes. I have had such a hard time finding a mascara that can make my lashes look full and volumized. This mascara is not clumpy and makes my lashes look awesome.

I love this product. I don't like Clinique's High impact mascara, but Long Pretty Lashes gives me a much more natural look. I think it is a good day time mascara, although I'd probably use a more volumising one at night. One coat for a natural look. 2-3 coats for very thick, long lashes (wait for the coat to dry before reapplying, otherwise it will clump). No problems with removal.

Long pretty lashes is exactly as the name implies ... it gives me long and pretty lashes and is one of the best mascaras I've ever tried! I used to only wear WP mascaras due to smearing, but this one is not WP and surprisingly, I've never had any problems with this smearing or smudging on me. It is smooth to apply, doesn't clump and just gives me the most sophisticated looking lashes I could ask for. A definite keeper and staple product for me!!
