I love this foundation! I was looking for a switch from liquid foundation because it dries out my skin, so I decided to give this product a go. Right from the get go, I loved this foundation. The great things about this product were how well it applies, the shades, the coverage, and the beautiful, healthy glow that it gives my skin when wearing it. I really liked the coverage for this foundation because it lets your skin shine through, but nicely covers any red spots and evens out skin tone. It goes on really easily and doesn't feel at all heavy. What I didn't really like about it was the kabuki brush it came with. It was a little prickly on my face and didn't really spread it properly so now I just use my own. Also despite loving the performance of this foundation so much I found out after purchasing it that L'Oreal is an animal testing company and for that reason, I will definitely not be repurchasing.

I am a product junkie and in fact, I have tried majority of the mineral makeups, from Youngblood (the very first company with mineral foundations) to Everyday Minerals. The purest minerals have no chance of staying on my oily skin. That is a given. It doesn't matter how much BE brags all over the media about its powders, the original formula causes itch in some of us and the matte formula looks too chalky. The rest of mineral companies depending on what they have added in their formulas may or may not work on different skins so I do not buy into the fact that minerals are pure makeup for everyone. BUT good quality mineral makeup looks much better than the traditional powders and definitely looks more natural than liquid, mousse, or cream foundations. It can look cakey if it is not applied right. Now, here is run down about L'Oreal's mmu: Certainly, this beats a lot of minerals in quality. For those with oily skins, this is possibly the best minerals that you can find. For those with dry skin, don' forget to moisturize and for those with sensitive skin, this is definitely better than BE and a GOD SENT. It is not shiny and it does not look unnatural. It is not itchy and the color selection fits majority of people. The color category designated by L'Oreal is also great in finding the right match. For those with yellow skin tones, thanks to L'Oreal, the shades are perfect for yellow undertones. I am NC 30 to NC 35 but I am not as yellow as MAC categorizes me so Buff Beige in Neutral tones is perfect for my skin tone. It looks healthy to the point and I do not need a blush or bronzer. Whoever designed the packaging must have been on drugs because I have no idea what they were thinking. The price is high compared to some of the mmu companies on the internet but over all, it is less than BE and Jane Iredale. My vote is that you should try this.

I have used this product on and off for about 6 years, since I started using makeup. It is definitely for those who want a full coverage foundation. I find that if you use too much, though, your face can look super cakey. I used to have moderate acne and a lot of redness, I stopped using this and my skin has improved tremendously. It does do a great job to control oil though, I will give it that.. Does anyone else have a problem with this brush? After a few weeks its like rubbing sandpaper on your face! I also dislike that you can't close the actual container, if I throw this in my bag the powder spills out into the canister and its a huge mess.

I've been using Maybelline Mineral Power fdn for past several months and just ran out of it. So I decided to give this a go
Price: ~$18
Pkg: really bulky and the brush is POS
Coverage: medium to full
Finish: dry matte
Colour: Natural Beige 464 is a neutral beige w/yellow undertone
Texture: creamy
I barely dip Ecotools kabuki brush in it then swirl it on.
Unlike MP this stays matte for 6+hours, even on a hot summer day. If this survives 4h at work(coffee shop) this may be The One

*UPDATE*
I put this over MUFE HD primer (neautral I think, I got the mini tube one) and it stayed relatively matte for 4h. It slightly glowy after 3h mark but nothing greasy and gross. HG fdn at last!

I really like this product a lot! I went out and bought the concealer and the finish along with the naturale powder....the concealer works great, although i dont think its something you HAVE to have because the powder works well on coverage anyhow. I did notice that if you apply to much of the powder that it starts getting cakey so start off with applying very little! I also accidently slept in this makeup last night and when I woke up, my face still looked great! so it definately lasted a long time! i would recommend this product to anyone!

Redness shows through and it's way too shiny. Otherwise it's a good mineral foundation.

Love the product itself. Covers blemishes on my face yet looks really natural. My complaint is the packaging! Horrible design! The powder spills everywhere, the brush is scratchy, and awkward to use.Hard to swirl the brush in the jar to get an even application. A flatter container would have worked better. However, it does look very nice, and is super quick on those mornings when you need foundation, but are pressed for time. Just use your own kabuki instead of the one provided for a better look.

I like this product because it blend smoothly on the skin, however I find that it cause more breakout and have to stop using it. i spent so much on this and will just have to discard it.

The packaging is attractive but i find it non-user friendly.

For the longest time this was my HG foundation. I love powder foundation because you can apply it fast and easily. This product has amazing coverage, better coverage than any other foundation I have tried. (I definitely prefer this to bareMinerals, which had horrible coverage for my acne!) This was the best foundation I have ever used, until my skin started getting oily. I am currently looking for a mattifying primer or lotion for my oily skin so that I can start wearing this foundation again! I miss using this product and wish I wasn't so oily!

i got this as a present. i usually don't wear foundations as its much of a job for me but this is easy peasy if it expresses how i feel. while i have 2 brush until my liquid foundation dissolves without a trace this is easy just brush it and go. its a go foundation and no hassle. although its pricey but it may last a while and the brush is soft enough. after reading many reviews bout the brush i thought it might b hard but its soft until unless u rub it hard. so this is a good foundation and without any hassle i think i luv it and no breakouts also so far.

This has been my HG foundation since grade 9 and I just graduated highschool this year. It gives amazing coverage but doesn't get super cakey like most foundations I've used in the past. It covers up all my acne plus acne scars and the redness I sometimes get around my nose. It's a little pricey for me (about $20 in most drug stores in my city) but I've never found something as good for cheaper! I used to only wear some concealer and this powder for my face makeup and it covered well, but I've taken to wearing a light layer of liquid foundation (revlon colour stay) so I really don't need that much coverage from a powder. My skin is wayyyy better than it was when I started using this product so I'll be looking for a new pressed powder foundation just to use as a really light layer on top of my liquid foundation to keep everything in it's place and to control my oily skin, but I'll always keep some of this powder foundation in my makeup drawer for when I need more coverage or if I don't feel like wearing liquid foundation that day!!

The brush that they give you with the product sucks so I just use my own big poofy powder brush, not an issue because the brushes that come with makeup are always bad.

I just bought this a week ago, and here are my thoughts so far...
VERY nice. =]
A bit pricey for drugstore, but if you've been buying bare minerals, then it's definitely a deal because it is less than half the price.
A few things you need to know if you're going into this comparing it to bare minerals...
DO moisturize and prime. It isn't terribly forgiving on dryness. But this is easily avoided if you quickly prep your face. (Which is something you should do before every foundation application anyway.)
It isn't as fine as bare minerals, so it goes on heavier, faster.
It doesn't take as much product to cover your face. So you have to keep an eye on how heavy the coverage is capable of being. For some people (such as myself), this is a plus. I like medium-full coverage without using allllllll of my product. With bare minerals I used waaaay more than I wanted to in order to get the coverage that I wanted.
Ingredients wise...Yes, it's not as pure. But it's pretty decent for a DS MINERAL foundation, I have to say. I have pretty sensitive skin around my jaw area, and I haven't had any problems at all. Usually If a product is going to irritate my skin, I'll know right after the first application. I didn't get that feeling with this. So it doesn't irritate my skin.
Now onto color selection...this is where I take off a lippie. It could be better. luckily, I'm fair enough for their lightest shade to work for me, but if you're not sure and you can't swatch it, there might be some guess work that needs to be done. That can always be a hassle.

All in all, Great luminous 'mineral' finish, lasts a long time, covers well, and costs much less than department mineral makeup.
Just make sure you moisturize. ;p

LOVE this! I won't use anything else. Yes, it's messy. Yes, I need to use a moisturizer because my skin is so dry that if I put this on directly, it will look even drier. Also, I agree that the brush could be better. To me, the brush is ok at first but this makeup lasts me months and after awhile the brush gets a little rough on my face. But it covers amazingly, doesn't make me break out, and is light and not cakey.

Love this. Its the only mineral makeup that doesn't look cakey or make me look old lol. The color stays true, and its comfortable to wear in the 90+ degree heat and humidity of the south. The only issue I have is the brush - it smells weird and it hurts on my face. I use another brush to apply it and no issues at all :) This is great if you're on a budget

I was a bareMinerals girl for a very long time but when I ran out, I decided to give this a try after a friend's recommendation. It's nice if you use a separate brush to apply it, although the amount of fallout from the packaging is kind of ridiculous. Overall, the product itself is very comparable to bareMinerals, although I think that it the latter is better for your face. The trick is to use a light hand and build up. Also, spraying fix + after you apply your brush/bronzer gives the foundation a more natural, airbrushed look.

This is my everyday foundation. I've tried high-end powder foundations, but I come back to this one. It's available pretty much everywhere, it's not too expensive, and it has colors that work for me in summer and winter. I don't think it's too orangey, although after a long time -- and a container of this stuff does last forever, since a little goes a long way -- sometimes I think the color changes in the container. When that happens, I just toss it and get a new one, since it's pretty darn affordable. I have three in circulation right now -- one at my place, one at my boyfriend's and one in a travel bag since I move around a lot. It's nice that it's so affordable that I can justify buying multiples. The container does kinda suck, but over time I've learned to use it to save the product. I get enough in the sifter, swirl the brush around, and then tap the brush into the lid. Then, I can transfer the excess powder back into the sifter. Ta da! I'd say it's buildable coverage, although when you get toward a high-coverage application, it can look heavy. This product is definitely better for normal to oily skin, but I think most people with dry skin would have already figured that out. It's also great in the summer -- when skin gets a bit oily, the powder soaks it up for a dewy finish. Fun fact -- before they came out with a coordinating concealer, there was a video on the L'Oreal web site showing a makeup artist using this product. He remarked that because it has a lot of pigment, you can just switch to a concealer brush to get concealer-type coverage in places. It really does work, and I like it better than their powder concealers (which all seem too light to me), although now they'd have you buy a separate product, lol.

I have been looking for a good drugstore powder foundation and I believe I have found it! I got mine for 10 bucks at Walmart which is awesome. It makes my face look so smooth and even and it actually covered up a few blemishes which was a very nice surprise! It also hid my oily nose pretty well. Not all day, but for a good 3 hours or so which is a lot longer than other mineral powders I have tried. I would recommend this! They have lots of shades so you should be able to find one that fits your skin. I don't know why people are saying that it makes you look orange, maybe they are just getting way too dark for their skin. Mine made me look fresher and a little tanner but not in an orange way!

I love this stuff. This has been the only powdered mineral foundation that I have been able to wear...and I have tried ALOT. It doesn't oxidize on my skin and it does not settle into my fine lines. I don't care for the brush that comes with it...I use a flat top kabuki instead and it gives me a flawless finish. I would say that the coverage is better than medium...i find that I don't need a concealer when I wear this...but it still manages to look and feel ligtweight. Amazing!
