L de Lolita is all hype!! I purchased a very small (1.7 oz) bottle of perfume based on all of the reviews. The bottle makes no sense to me, looked cheap and I still cannot figure out which side the sprayer is on ~ very confusing!! This scent goes on full blast (after you figure out how to spray it). The fragrance mixes nicely with my body chemistry - sorry I do not know how to describe the notes, etc.
The fragrance is very pretty light orange, vanilla scent that is light enough for So CA summers. However, it doesn't last more than one hour. Quite disappointing and I will not buy this fragrance again...

I LOVE this fragrance!! I can't say enough good things about it!!! It smells sooo yummy and comforting. It's a sweet smelling cozy vanilla spice fragrance not overly sweet. It's classy and the bottle is so pretty. I think this perfume is a hidden treasure! Not many people have heard of Lolita Lempicka but that is what makes it even more special. Prior to purchasing this perfume I had purchased Flowerbomb, which is heavier but in the same genre as this perfume. I like Flowerbomb but this fragrance is lighter and more wearable during the day or evening. I think it's more of a winter/fall fragrance but I also plan to wear it all year round, that's how much I love it! <3

Beautiful, amazing, perfect ... Love at first touch. I ordered blindly, just under Reviews. Who likes vanilla, we surely do not disappoint.

At first spray, I get a blast of synthetic orange/very sweet vanilla. It's way too sweet for my liking, but settles down after an hour into an intensely musky scent, with a slight vanilla undertone. It doesn't quite work for me, I find that the opening is too sweet and the dry down is too musky (and I like my musk..but this turns a little too heavy, slightly masculine, like a cologne). I have to say, I know a lot of people like the bottle--but it screams tacky to me. I will still keep it around, since it was a gift. Great staying power though.

I have been dying to try a Lolita Lempicka perfume since I've been hearing all the hype about them. I got this one in a sample and after spraying it on me, I just thought it smells like Fruity Peebles (the breakfast cereal) on me. Maybe it's just my body chemistry and this fragrance......

One of my favorite scents...I always get tons of compliments on it too! On me, this smells slightly foodie; like a lemon sugar cookie, but much more exotic with complex notes that add a hint of mystery. Love it!

Yummy smell that gets me a ton of compliments! Great for vanilla lovers like myself but isn't cloyingly sweet. The bottle looks cute on my vanity but it does not have a cap so I can't take it travelling..love love!

The original Lolita is my HG fragrance. I love it's sensual sweetness and fairy tale quality. So thinking L de Lolita would have the same qualities, I went ahead and tried it.
And thanked my lucky stars I only purchased a deluxe sample. On me, L de Lolita is cloyiny and sickenly sweet. It smells strongly of patchuli which gives me an instant headache. I can def. detect the "salty" tones of the scent and thinks it adds a unique quality to L. Overall I find L de Lolita to be too one tone for me - and that tone is incense/patchuli. I was really hoping L de Lolita would have the multi-dimensional beauty of Lolita. Alas, this scent is not FB worthy for me. UPDATE 11/10: Not sure if my body chemistry has changed, but I have grown to really appreciate this complex scent. It's no longer sickenly sweet on me and I do enjoy wearing it!

I'm really liking this one right now. It's a nice spicy, vanilla, chocolatey, dry fragrance without any nasty patchouli to wreck it.
Other than the design of the bottle, I don't get this aquatic/marine thing so many people are talking about here. Being from So Cal, I've got plenty of experience in the "breathing ocean air" department and this ain't it. When marine notes are mentioned, most think of the watermelon ketone fragrances like "New West", "CK Escape", "Acqua Di Gio", etc. Now, I always felt those fragrances smelled less like the beach and more like, well, melons; either way, this has NONE of that.
This is a very wintry, cold-weather fragrance to me. There's nothing beachy about it -- unless you're talking Owls Head Harbor in January!

This fragrance would be perfect if it wasn't so sickeningly sweet! I love all the notes in it I can pick up besides the sweet vanilla but that seems to overpower most of the time. Because of the heavy scent, I think it's only really suitable for very cold winter days. The smell would get sickening in the heat! That being said, when you can smell the other oriental-ish notes it is really nice and quite sophisticated. Plus, the fragrance lasts a LONG time, probably the longest of all my perfumes. The bottle is also lovely.

Interesting vanilla with a salty aquatic note. Unfortunately, musky vanillas always turn harsh on me, and this was no exception.

I got this yesterday from EBay...a great price on the 2.7 ounce bottle. I like it a lot, especially the bottle, but it's driving me crazy--it smells exactly like something from my past that I can't put my finger on! Incense? The bottles of myrrh that the hippies used to sell in the hallway at my college? It's definitely something other than vanilla. Cedarwood? Someone pm me please and relieve me from this madness--what does L smell exactly like?
P.S. I love the bottle, a sea green glass heart festooned with starfish & sea netting..
EDIT: I still like this but I've worn it for two days and it disappears from my pulse points in under an hour. I have very dry skin. That drops it down to a 4 for me because it's an Eau de Parfum even...

Oh, I am in love with this perfume! It is my HG fall/winter perfume. I would wear it everyday if I didn't mind wasteing it, but I do care, so I wear this for special occasions... Ok, I can't lie, I wear it whenever I want to and just feel guilty but extravagant! I love the seductive deep creamy smell. And the bottle is just gorgeous, it was designed after a mermaid & the bottle was made to look like a jewel at the bottom of the sea. Anything designed after a mermaid I have to have (hence my username, lol). It's a little pricey and I wish it would last a little longer on my skin when I wear it. But when I have it on, I just sit there and sniff myself all day, it's just dreamy. I have the Fleur de Corail spinoff of this and I love it too (but not as much), but it's more of a summer smell, so that's when I wear that one. I will definatley repuchase this for the rest of my life. It's one of the rare fragrances that I want to have forever.
I would swim to the bottom of the ocean to have this rare jewel!

Oh my...this fragrance is exactly what I was looking for in a fall/winter scent. I have just finished a bottle of Pink Sugar and while I still adore it for laying around the house in my jammies kind of days, I wanted another gourmand that was a wee bit more sophisticated and complex, okay a LOT more sophisticated and complex. Not to mention, I smelled it on an acquaintance who moonlights as an adult toy sales rep and it kind of turned me off. Anywho, back to the lovely "L" ...it opens with a spicy burst of citrus, drying into a salty, slightly powdery vanilla (what is that salty note??) with the end note being pure vanilla that on me, lasts and lasts and lasts. The vanilla is not "candy-ish" vanilla (like Pink Sugar) but a "straight from the vanilla bean vanilla". It's a warm, sexy, spicy, creamy, somewhat earthy concoction. Some have said that it is a strong fragrance, but on me it seems to stay close. I must say however, most perfumes don't last on me but this one from start to finish works in perfect harmony with my body chemistry. Yay!! And the packaging?? Simply the most unique and gorgeous bottle I have ever seen.

I received this as a Sephora sample, and I have to say, I love the packaging. Great cardstock, bright colors, foil, and embossing? It feels pretty luxe for a freebie.
I was really excited about this product, as it's described as a "passionate" oriental perfume, but L smells only like vanilla on me. I've waited three hours, and no other notes have developed, really. There's a very, very slight spiciness, but I can smell it only when I put my wrist directly to my nose. I hate to say it, but it reminds me of boring old Vanilla Fields from the drugstore. This isn't at all a sophisticated scent, unfortunately. The Boy likes it, but I've read time and again that guys like the smell of vanilla, so that's got to be it.
**Update: The vanilla smell is still clinging on, even after a shower!**

The only reason I say I wouldn't buy this again is because it's not an HG. However, I still rate this quite highly -- mainly because of the response it evokes in others. It smells very spicy and gourmand, the citrus evaporates within about 10 minutes on my skin but the other notes stick around. Very in-your-face, not for the faint hearted. Men love it though, I'd definitely wear this on a date or out to a club.
EDIT: I wound up buying a bottle of this after all, and here's how the scent breaks down on me - when I first spray, it smells like fresh baked cinnamon buns. After about two minutes it mellows into a vanilla base that sticks around but then comes the bitter orange. The vanilla, bitter orange and spices combine into something that reminds me of autumn leaves, sitting by a campfire drinking caramel hot cocoa....perfect for fall, even for those who hate gourmand fragrances (like me).

This scent isn't for me. It's definitely citrusy and a bit spicy, but it's a rather cloying on my skin. Maybe my chemistry and nose are crazy, but it reminds me of Clean Fun, which is another scent that didn't work for me. They seem to have a similar and very distinct combination of citrus, wood, and sweetness or cream. My skin eats up L rather quickly anyhow, so it's probably best I don't care for it.

I have always eyed the Lolita scents (both L and the Lolita), and recently got an AMAZING deal on L: a gift set with the 1.7 oz EDP and 2.5 oz. body lotion all for only $29.99 at TJ Maxx!
Let me start off by saying this is a strong and distinct perfume- not for someone who wants a light, fruity-floral. If you usually go for a lighter fragrance, I would definitely get a sample to test out first. Also, the bottle is just stunning in person. It's weighty and the metal design does not look cheap at all.
Now for the actual perfume... SO intoxicating. I see this becoming my fave fall/winter scent next to NR For Her edt and Angel. I get a lot of vanilla, cinnamon, and the bitter orange at first. After it settles, you get more of the salty musk. I have heard some people say that they don't understand the beach themed bottle because the juice inside is so spicy/gourmand/oriental, but I definitely understand it. L de Lolita has a note that flows through the entire life of the fragrance that is very salty and ocean-like. I love this note because it gives the fragrance so much more depth. I can see some similarities to Angel, but this is much more oriental. Overall, A+

I got this as a present, and I really like it. I would not wear this as often as the original scent, but it is a warmer scent, more vanilla, perfect for summer, or simply if I am in the mood. I'm not very big on scents, but I have to say that of the three I currently own, two of them are from Lolita Lempicka.
Edit: I've decided that when I finish this, I won't buy it myself. I'm not wearing it as much as I thought.
Edit #2: I spritzed a heavier amount on my arm rather than walk through the mist because I was bored. I'm very impressed with this scent...the vanilla got toned down and more sandalwood and spice came through. Lolita Lempicka has some deliciously complex fragrances.
