Okay, so I have never written a review here before but this oil is just too amazing to not rave about!

I too was skeptical at the all the hype and the "oil cleansing" method, but after just one use..oh my god...I AM A CONVERT FOR LIFE!!

DHC cleansing oil takes off every single bit of makeup whilst leaving my skin non-irritated and soft - I love it and will purchase when I run out!

This product is better than makeup remover wipes because it doesn't irritate or scratch your skin. Removes makeup easily and smells good. Love this product. :-)

This takes every bit of makeup off my face effortlessly! It's pretty expensive for a makeup remover, and the bottle went kinda quick. The only reason I won't be repurchasing is because it's just easier to use $3 makeup wipes from the Dollar Store which I don't have to order online, AND are easier to travel with. The bottle doesn't have a lock on it, so I gave the packaging a 4. Overall, it does everything it says but I would rather spend my $$$ on makeup! Lol.

This will now be always part of my skincare regimen and will definitely repurchase. This saves me so much time as I no longer need to use make up remover wipes and then cleansing wash etc etc. I apply this directly onto dry face and rub it all over, I then wash my face with water and it removes every trace of make up even stubborn mascara. I know that it works as I use a toner from time to time and there is no trace of make up on the cotton pad (unlike prior to using this). It is quite expensive but it is definitely worth it.

This product is a saving grace! How many times have I tried to use straight olive oil from the food pantry or something that claims to be a really great makeup remover solution, only to be disappointed or frustrated that it will not rinse off? I couldn't even count. I was also afraid that this wouldn't simply rinse off with water. It is completely water soluble, so only apply to a dry face with dry hands. You will be amazed and appreciative that this stuff exists!

One of my staple items. I have quite a few eye makeup removers (Lancome and Neutrogena being a few of my favorites). But this one is REALLY good too. The Lancome and Neutrogena I use when I'm using a cotton swab. When I want to wash my eye makeup over the sink I use this. Put it on DRY (with dry hands) and gently rub your eyes. Within a few seconds it has ALL come off (trust me) - then rinse off with water and that's it. No oily residue left behind AT ALL! If I was wearing A TON of eye makeup I may have to go in with a q-tip just to touch up under my lower lash line, but that's only on days when I do a super smokey eye.

You can definitely use this for the rest of your face and I do that sometimes too. But I prefer a foaming cleanser with my Clarisonic for that. Either way, whether you use this as a facial cleanser or to just remove your eye makeup - you'll love it! I hate when something gets rave reviews and then it lets me down, but this was the one exception that really surprised me. DHC sells smaller bottles so get that if you want to try it out first.

words cannot describe how much i love this cleansing oil! i was skeptical at first (wash my face with an oil??) but holy cats, am i glad i tried it! surprizingly enough, it has cleared up my adult acne better than any other non prescription product i've ever used,it removes all my makeup, rinses clean and leaves my skin smooth as a baby's butt! I can even skip moisturizer when I use this. If you've ever been curious, TRY THIS!! it will soon become a favorite that you won't want to live without!

good stuff, I've been using this cleansing oil for almost 3 years and so far i have no problem with it. i have acne-prone skin and this oil doesn't break me out and it removes all my makeup(except my waterproof mascara but that's another story since it's MJ mascara)nicely. so overall i def. recommend this cleansing oil since it's very mild and doesn't leave behind any residue plus it's kinda moisturizing too =)

I had heard a lot of buzz about this, but it wasn't until I got a sample that I finally understood what everyone was saying. This is an awesome product. I tried it two ways. One way just as the package states and apply it to dry skin and then rinse with water. I also tried mixing it with water so it turned milky. I preferred the first way. I think it did a better job although it feels funny to use oil on dry skin. I loved how this got all of my makeup off or if I had no makeup on how it gently cleansed. This goes a long way that I think the cost would be worth it. I would defintely purchase this in the future to use.

I really love this product, use it almost every single day. I originally bought this because the foundation I was using (Revlon ColorStay) was almost impossible to get of. I use this product to clean of my face makeup and it's definitally the best product I've ever just for that purpose.
It gets all the makeup of, but without drying me skin! And it's really easy to get off as you only need water, trully amazing!

You could totally use this on it's own as it gets of all your makeup - especially if your just using mineral makeup. When I'm wearing heavy makeup (such as the Revlon one) I usually use a facewash or a toner efter the DHC, just so that I know every little bit of makeup is gone. I have a bit of sensitive skin and I'm acne pron but I haven't had any reaction to this product.

It's a bit pricier than I would like but it's fairly long lasting and for such an amazing product it's definitally worth the money. Will definitally buy this again when I run out.

I've been using this oil for years (maybe 5-6?) to remove my makeup at night. I have normal but sensitive skin and I tolerate this cleansing oil well. It removes all of my makeup pretty easily although I have to rub it in a little more to remove liquid eyeliners or some mascaras.

I think the price is fair because one bottle of this lasts me a long time. I use 2 pumps to clean my entire face. I rub the oil between my hands a little first so it doesn't run down my wrists.

I follow this with DHC's CoQ10 toner before applying my AHAs and moisturizer.

The smell doesn't bother me. I'd rather it smell like olive oil than be strongly scented. I like that it is non-irritating. This matters a lot to me since my skin is getting more sensitive as I get older.

The pump bottle is convenient but I wish it was more opaque because I'm concerned that light may affect the product.

A co-worker gave me a sample of this so I used it last night. I loved the way it removed my makeup. My face felt so clean and soft. Having never used an oil cleanser before, I assumed it would make it feel oily but didn't. I also had a sample of the eye cream and decided to use it on my entire face. Anyway, I had the beginnings of two small pimples and when I woke up this morning they were nowhere to be seen! I have a little more of the samples left so will use again tonight. If I have more good results, I may have to splurge!

This cleansing oil is amazing. It is my first time using a cleansing oil so I can't
compare it to any other cleansing oil. Let's see...takes off all my makeup, including mascara, which I use loads of. I don't have to use anything else except this and a moisturizer afterwards. It does not smell bad to me, and just makes me face really, really clean. At first my face felt really dried out but now my skin is getting used to it so it works well. I have combinbation skin, normal all over except with an oily t-zone. It's really great stuff and I would buy again and again. Edit: my only complaints are the packaging is not travel friendly because the pump does not lock. It has to be bought online only. After I cleanse my eyes are a bit irritated and they kind of water a bit afterwards. I read that origins doesn't do that so I am going to try that one.

I bought this product after reading many good reviews about it. I tried it and found it too oily and watery to handle (the oil would start dripping down my hands to my wrists and arms). The oil clears off most of the makeup the makeup on my face, but no matter how careful I am when using it to remove eye makeup, it ALWAYS gets into my eyes somehow and it's really frustrating! It also dries up my skin, leading to breakouts! My skin type is sensitive + combination (mainly normal, but slightly oily in T-zone areas) and I found this product too much for my skin. I also didn't like the smell very much! I prefer Fancl's Mild Cleansing Oil more as that one is more thick and has no scent. The DHC oil is also more expensive! I wouldn't buy this product again!

After using this DHC Deep Cleansing Oil, my skin has been looking clearer than ever; my pores have shrunken, and my face looks more even and isn't as dull as it was before. Prior to using this product, I had been using various make-up wipes. After double cleansing, my face would always be so dry. With the Deep Cleansing Oil, my face is less dry and even more clean compared to when I cleaned my face with make-up wipes. My first and current bottle is the smallest one, the 70mL and cost me $12-$13. I plan on purchasing the full bottle (200mL), which costs around $27-30, I believe. Despite the price, it's a great investment for good skin!

Ack! I absolutely LOVED this at first and rated it 5 stars. But after a month of using, it started to slightly burn when I applied it and I developed small rosacea-like bumps on my cheeks! I've never had a reaction like this. As I get older, I think my skin just cannot tolerate fragrant essential oils of any kind, e.g. the rosemary oil in this! I'm also wondering if the bad irritation was caused by the high amount of phenoxyethanol....either way, the bumps and redness were gone after just 3 days of not using this. Onto Fancl's Mild Cleanings Oil, which is completely fragrance-free.

I never understood the oil cleansing method and was afraid to try it, however my skin has been so bad the last 13 years or so, I am willing to try most anything. After using jojoba oil as a deep-cleaning treatment and feeling comfortable with that I opened up one of the DHC samples I have been collecting. I like that the oil is actually a little thin & runny. I also like the smell of olive oil, so to me, this stuff smells yummy! I rub it into my face and then wash everything off with Philososphy Purity cleanser. I was so amazed when I used toner and nothing came off on the cotton ball. Usually the cotton ball gets dirty, but this time- nothing! My skin felt really, really soft and smooth. I didnt notice any real visible effect, but I could tell that my skin was getting really clean. Also, it did not strip my skin like the foaming cleansers I have used. I dont get a tight feeling when I use this and dry patches dont last as long. I have also not noticed any more oiliness to my skin than usual.
I have now been using it for about 4 months in the vening and I feel that my breakouts are less frequent. I still do not have perfectly clear skin, but I my skin has improved a lot. I still get cystic acne and bumps under the skin that just hurt and then turn into a dark splotch, but those are becoming a lot less frequent- which for someone like me is absolutely amazing. I tone with ACV, and just invested in a Clairsonic Mia, so I am hoping to see even bigger improvements in the future.
I feel that this oil goes a long way in ridding skin of all types of impurities that can lead to blemishes. It is now a must-have in my skin regimen. The price is also really good for a packaged cleansing oil, and the bottle you get lasts a long time. I only need less than 1 pump. This stuff is definitely a life-saver for me and I will continue to buy it!

This is probably the best cleanser I have ever used normally I would break out after trying a new product but this is the first time I did not. It removes all make my makeup including waterproof mascara. I have not used any makeup removers after using this product and it also hydrates my skin. At first I was a bit skeptical with putting oil on my face because I was scared that it would make me break out but it didn't and I will definitely buy it again.

I'm not such a big fan of cleansing oils because it always leaves me feeling as if I should wash my face again, or at least over-tone. I like this cleansing oil because it feels like a "heavy hitter" compared to others. Unfortunately, I'm not too fond of the smell. On the plus side, the packaging is very sturdy so I've never had to complain of spillage (I have the 70 ml one) when I leave it inside a bag for a few days.
