I've somehow managed to collect so many different kinds of lotions that I forget how I even ended up with them. I decided to try and work through the ones I already have before I go out and buy more. The baby lotion was the first I tried. Each night when I'd get out of the shower I'd use the lotion. The scent is calming, and the lotion almost feels cool, so it's soothing. It's not greasy, and it's a very gentle formula. The only dowside to it would be that it probably wouldn't stand a fighting chance in the winter battling dry skin.

For ages, I wanted to find a moisturizer (for my face) that didn't leave my skin feeling all oily and sticky. My face gets oily SO quickly but once I started using this lotion, does NOT feel oily on my face at all and my face doesn't get oily as quick either. LOVE ITTTTTT <3333333333

Definately recommended for people with a really oily complexion. :)

I wanted to find an awesome use for this product because I love the babywash so much and it often comes in a pack with this lotion. I tried using it as a body lotion and I must say, it's not a very effective body moisturizer for adults. So I did an awful thing and put it on my face... breakouts galore :( Yes, I know, body lotion does not belong on the face... I was just that desperate to find a good use for it. Anyways, I give it 2 stars still because 1) I love the way it smells on my body after it dries down, 2) the product was meant for babies to begin with and not adults, and my friends seem to love it for their babies. Oh, I also tried it as a shaving cream (as suggested by reviewers on drugstore.com), and it's okay... but it does tend to clog up your razor. Needless to say, I won't be repurchasing this.

There has always been a bottle of this in my house when I was growing up. My mum used it as a makeup remover and so myself and my sister did as well. When I left home I often strayed from it to more sophisticated products but always returned. I only ever use it to take off my makeup before I use fash wash and not ever as a moisturiser. It does sting my eyes a little if it gets in but nothing serious. Plus 'Simple' eye makeup remover stings worse and that is supposed to be gentle! I have sensitive skin and this has never caused me a problem

Anyway, it always removes whatever mascara i'm wearing - beats all the other cleansers hands down and its so cheap. I have been using the baby wipes J&J do but as they are not fast degrading, I moved on to a more earth friendly wipe. I now use 'Nature Babycare' wipes which are just as good and biodegradable.

So what I do is massage in some baby lotion then wipe off with my wipes. Great to do in the evening whilst i'm sat watching TV. I can do it and then just finish off my routine before I go to bed. Brilliant, love it.

A product that has been around for years and used on me, when I was a baby. I still use this when I want an everyday, light moisturizer. It doesn't leave me feeling sticky or heavy. The smell is well, baby fresh! I love it! The bottle is cute and retro and girly pink. What else can you ask for?!

The original and still the best baby lotion out there. My parents used this on me when I was a baby and it is still my favorite lotion. Smells great and is gentle on my dry, sensitive skin. Amazing product! No other comes close!

Johnson & Johnson Baby Lotion is a perfect smelling, perfect lotion for the spring and summer months. It lightly moisturises the skin, leaving behind a gorgeous, fresh, subtle fragrance. The baby pink bottle and matching baby pink coloured lotion is so cute! If your skin is dry, flaky or irritated, this wouldn't be a great solution; but I'll recommend Aveeno Daily Moisturising Lotion mixed with some Extra Virgin Olive Oil. But for summer when your skin needs just a hint of moisture, this is perfect. The best bit is that it's so cheap!

I never used this on my babies (we used Burt's Bees and my youngest is 3 now) but for some reason I found a sample size of this pink stuff in my travel case. I put some on after a bath recently when I was away from home, staying with friends. I went down to the party, and everyone said how wonderful I smelled. "Oooooh, smell her!!" they said, and begged me to tell them what I was wearing. I didn't tell. I haven't gotton a response like that to a Lutens, Chanel, or Guerlain! LOL!

I love musky scents with a touch of powder anyway, so this is a wonderful fresh layer undernieth my L'Instant, Snake Oil, and Bois de Violette.

I usually stay away from J&J products coz they are drying on me (e.g. shampoo/body wash) or cause me allergies (e.g the oil)

But I like this lotion, mainly because it sinks in so quickly. It feels very lightweight. I am not sure how moisturising it is, as i do not have very dry skin. But I cannot find moisturzers that sink in nicely, so this is great. The scent is very nice and baby clean too. Price is great.

I'm going back to this and ditching the Gold Bond Ultimate. I thought, I had found the perfect lotion with Gold Bond, but recently read the Poison Control Center information on the back of their bottle. What does that tell you? Toxic ingredients? So, I will have to change my review on Gold Bonds. I used Johnson's for many, many years without any problem. The scent is light and quickly absorbs. It takes me back to my babies ( now grown children ) days. My oldest son said for several years...Mom, you smell so nice. It had to be the Johnson's lotion, because one of my children has allergy to perfumes, and I didn't wear much perfumes back then. They say...always stay with the tried and true!
foxytina ( below ), I found this in the pump dispenser @ Walmart. Its the big 24oz. size.

i adore this stuff. and yes there are other ingredients in this that are moisturizing, not just the mineral oil. (glycerin, propylene glycol, the "yl" alcohols, etc.) its a great smelling basic body lotion. it would be good for normal to slightly dry skin and is light enough for those with oilier skin. if your skin is extremely dry, you probably wont find this really moisturizing. i adore the smell, its like baby powder. (the scent lasts until you shower next, but its light and powdery and will probably compliment other scents) i definitely wouldnt want to use this on my face though. (wax ingredients usually cause break outs) and its really cheap. i think they should come out with a pump bottle version though. i always find it annoying to put lotion on when im having to put the bottle down, pick it up, squeeze out more, etc.

Actually, this is my basic lotion, and works better than most I've tried.
I hate it when lotions take forever to dry, and usually, I'll skip them because of this. But, this one absorbs so quickly, it's a miracle!

The scent is so soft, you don't have to worry about it interefering with your other scented products.

I adore it.

I really wanted to like this "baby lotion." I thought that since it was made for babies, it would moisturize my skin, leaving it smooth and supple. All it did was dry my skin out. I had the one in Lavender, so it smelled divine...but it just doesn't moisturize my skin. I even tried it on my face, thinking since I didn't need anything too greasy on my face, this would be perfect. But a few minutes later, I would find my face to be looking quite ashy and as though I hadn't put any moisturizer on it. However, I do love the Baby Oil Gel, not for its moisturizing properties, but rather because it makes my skin baby soft.

Maybe I'll repurchase this again if I ever have a baby since it does seem to be quite gentle.

Great smell but doesn't moisturize and broke me out as a lotion and used as a cleanser for make up.

I normally use virgin olive oil as a moisturizer out of the shower. However when I need something a little bit more convenient (that won't leave me worrying about leaving grease stains if I don't have time to let the oil soak in) I use this product all over my body after my shower and I find that it leaves my skin soft for most of the day.

It is not a miracle cream and I must use something more heavy duty on my dry spots (elbows, feet, and hands) - for that I use Eucerin Cream. But for all over, it can't really be beat in terms of price or convenience. The smell is pleasant enough and I find that it fades fast enough not to interfere with whatever perfume I might be wearing.

Overall, it's worth buying and I usually have a bottle around.

I used this on my face for taking off makeup & it broke me out like crazy. I love the babyish smell it has though. Can't risk trying it as a makeup base in fear of the results.

Won't repurchase...perhaps for my baby in the future, not for me!
