I got this with my Urban Decay palette and I was so excited! Since so many people love it it must be a good product but it just doesn't work on my skin. Eyeshadow that normally has long lasting power doesn't even last for a few hours. This primer makes my makeup worse. It has the same affect as putting on a thin layer of shortening on my eye lids.

Although it is quite expensive, I will buy it again. It really made a difference in my overall makeup look - shadows look more vibrant, and, the most important part, at the end of the day, it looks as good as in the morning!

I really like this product. I have oily eyelids in the spring/summer, and I have not found an issue with this primer. It's a soft texture, goes smoothly on the lids. It keeps eyeshadow in place. I wore it once for a very long time, from around 11am to 9pm, and I only began noticing some creasing towards the end of the night. Not a big deal, at all. I think this is a great product! Although I have heard that the Milani eyeshadow primer is very similar, but much much cheaper, so that might be something I will look into at a future time cause $20 a tube is a bit much for my wallet :(

Love this primer:) I got it as a sample with my original Naked palette, and wished it came with my Naked 2 palette! I ended up buying the full size because I loved it so much. My shadow doesn't crease, smudge, or fade all day long. There's a huge difference when I use the primer, even the colors of my shadows look brighter. Love it, I use it everyday!

I got this in a palette in a little bottle but I must say its lasted for a long time! Its perfect when you apply your eyeshadow because it really brings out the true colour. A little goes a long way too.. Simply apply a bit with the wand on your lids and spread out with your finger then apply your eyeshadow. The eyeshadow stays on all day without creasing or fading! Its a must every time I put on eyeshadow! Such an amazing product and definitely recommend to all you eyeshadow fans out there! Its a bit on the pricey side but definitely worth it as it works to its full potential and lasts ages! x

I have hooded, oily lids so my eye make-up is pretty much a mess two hours after applying it. My eye liner slides off my skin and my eye shadow ends up in one greasy line in my crease. I tried ELF primer and it worked okay but I still had creasing and smearing. I tried Too Faced's primer and that made my eye shadow go on too dark and then I could not blend it out. It's too "grabby", or tacky. I don't know what is up with that stuff actually, but it was hard to work with. And I have a light hand when I apply eye shadow.

So after reading tons of reviews about Urban Decay's primer, I tried it. I put my make-up on at 8:00 am this morning, it's 4pm and my make-up looks like I just applied it.

Yeah, finally!!!

I noticed when I first applied my shadow that I didn't have to put too much on to get the true color out of it (I wear Mac). With ELF or no primer, I can layer shadow for hours and only after packing it on does it start to look like I actually put something on. Also, I was able to get better definition (especially when I did my outer V), and my colors didn't blend together into one muddy mess, like usual.

It all goes to show that it's really in the tools that you use to apply make-up. Just like when you do art. If you have good products and brushes and you properly prime your canvas, you get a good painting. Putting on make-up is the same concept.

I highly recommend this primer.

I bought this quite some time ago, when everyone kept saying how good of a product this was. I was so excited that I got both the original formula and in Eden. Boy, was I disappointed. This did not work for me at all.

I have pretty oily lids and I'm thinking that's why, but I had read several reviews prior to buying the primers, that it works well with oily lids too. Well, it doesn't. My eyeshadow would crease on me within an hour and at the end of the day it somehow looked even worse than without primer on. It also made my lids feel greasy, so basically, I hate this product.

So ladies, think twice before buying this if you have oily lids.

NC10-15, green eyes, dry skin, slightly oily lids. Used to ALWAYS have creasing eyeshadow.

99% of the time this primers works great for me - keeps my eyeshadow looking perfect through 10 hours work days in a warm beauty department. However, sometimes when I apply my eyeshadow it creases immediately - it's a very fine, small crease so I ignore it. I suspect it happens because the primer hasn't dried completely, so I recommend putting the primer on 5 min before your eyeshadow.
Sometimes I have trouble blending my eyeshadow because it sticks so well to this primer, but I can live with that in exchange for longlasting eyemakeup.

I am in the process of trying out other primers, but am willing to buy this again because it works. Not *always* perfectly, but it works.

I got a bottle of this with my Naked Palette and was not disappointed. Prior to this, I didn't really see the point in primers.

With that said, I have very oily lids and this has given my eyeshadow great staying power, with no creasing and it makes such a difference with eyeshadow pigmentation when used with this primer, since I have olive skin. I also use it under the eye with my concealer to brighten slightly, and more importantly because I get so oily under the eye usually and end up with racoon eyes, so this helps with the oil control and makes the area more matt, which increases the staying power of my lower eyeliner significantly.

The bottle is perfect size, a little goes a long way and it'll last me a long time, so I can't really complain about the price since I know I'll get a lot of use out of it.

Definitely worth the money! If you're sat on the fence, or have been umming and ahhing over this product for a while, take the plunge and you won't regret it.

I get on very well with this prouduct. It came free with the Naked palette and since then I have repurchased a full size bottle. I have always had a problem with eyeshadow wearing off during the day or the colour fading but since using this, it has stayed on for the same amount of time as any foundations or mascara which is great.

Pros:
Pigmentation
Packaging – travel friendly
Texture - silky and blends easily
Longevity

Cons:
Price - must think of it as an investment

Alright, I'm not doing a review from my point of view. I have dry eyelids so this product is not marketed towards me. On my eyelids, it's actually uncomfortable - makes my eyes itchy and tight. No matter how much I put on, this primer makes my eyelids feel uncomfortable. I really wish I could wear the primer in "Sin" because that color is unbelievably gorgeous on the eyes (I'll just have to settle with the eyeshadow in the same shade).

BUT, again, this review is not from my point of view. Both my mother and sister use Urban Decay's Primer Potion. Both have the original and my mother as the color "Sin" too. They both have oily eyelids and have struggled to keep their eyeshadow creasing to a minimum. This product has been a lifesaver for my mother and she's told me that it'll remain a staple in her makeup collection forever. She uses it everyday. Her eyeshadow doesn't crease and the pigmentation is noticeably increased. She also mixes a little bit of the primer with her under eye concealer and her concealer doesn't budge after that. She ranks it 5/5 and will continue to purchase.

Now my sister has different story with this primer. She has extremely oily eyelids and has little lid space. She hates when she applies eyeshadow and it creases big time in only 20 minutes. Her eyeshadow does still crease with this primer, but she has about 3-4 good hours before her oil breaks down the primer. That's significant for her but she would still like greater longevity given the price tag of this primer. She doesn't care for the bottle design at all. She always uses the primer before applying her eye makeup but she is still searching for a primer that will give her at least 6 hours of wear use. She ranks it 3/5 and would buy it again if she can't find a better eye primer.

My eyeshadows used to crease all the time, so I decided to invest in this primer as I had heard loads of good comments on it. I was not disappointed! It keeps my eyeshadow in place flawlessly. It's not too pricey either, so I would definitely have to say this is a must in every makeup collection.

I've been using MAC paint pot in Bare Study but ran put of that and went into Ulta to look for something different. I was about to get this UD primer potion and the makeup artist in there talked me into putting it back and getting Benefit's Stay Don't Stray instead. Big mistake, it was horrible! I took it back and exchanged for this and it's GREAT! Even better than the Bare Study paint pot because there's no shimmer. Love it, stays in place until I wash off my eyeshadow! And it's $20 for a pretty big tube, doesn't take much to apply so I would expect it to last for quite a while. If your looking for a eyeshadow primer, try this one!

I was so excited to try this when I first got this... Unfortunately this creases on me quite quickly! I'm actually wearing this today and it's been 3 hours since I applied my eye makeup and it has creased noticeably. However, I have very oily lids and I have found nothing yet to keep my eyeshadow in place all day so I guess this, too, was expected.

This product is perfect. I've been living on samples from UD Palettes for MONTHS and finally went and actually paid for a tube today. Money well spent! This stuff keeps my shadow on all day, without creasing or drying out my skin. A little goes a long way, so this is going to last forever. Will repurchase until the end of time!

I really like this primer!
I love how it's a base and also a primer
I've tried the benefit stay dont stray and it dried out my eyes
I also used the chanel base and didn't like it neither!
I love how UDPP is sooo creamy and light!
If you dont put too much it doesn't dry out your eyes and neither does it crease
It helps make my eyeshadow and eyeliner (top and bottom) last all day, neither does it smudge
There was once where i put too much of this product and my eyes looked dry and creased, so you only need a little amount
Little goes a long way!

Love this primer! I have both the UDPP and TFSI, and I think both are wonderful! The UDPP is slightly thicker than the TFSI (which feels a bit more oily) . I do think the UDPP applies a bit more smoothly and may work better for those with oily lids. And it does make shadow last all day. I apply my makeup at 6:30 am and my makeup is still looking great at 10 pm. Not sure how I managed without primer all these years!
