I was expecting a bit more from this to be honest. It moisturises ok, but I don't find it to be anything special like all the reviews suggest! It has a nice scent and I like the slight orange tint it gives off, but one thing I don't like about it is the glossiness. I'm not one for lipgloss I usually go more for lipsticks, so finding lots of gloss in a lipbalm is definitely not on my priority list! And this one is kind of a greasy-looking gloss - not nice. Overall, nothing special and I won't be buying again.

This had a beautiful scent!! It is undoubtedly a good lip balm, however I find it to be nothing special (besides the wonderful scent). I usually only use it at night since I prefer to use a lip balm with SPF during the day. Also, during the dryer months, I find that I need to reapply quite often.
All in all, good, but not spectacular.

This is an excellent lip balm. I simply love it. Prior to buying this my lips were pretty dry and unless I had Carmex on they were pretty cracked as well. With this lip balm however the opposite is true. My lips have become so smooth that even if I do not have it on it is not an issue. Someone mentioned the smell of roses. I don't smell that at all if anything it has a light herbal smell. I don't know if it says so on the Dr. Hauschka website but on the package on the stick it says that this has a natural SPF of 3. That is not a lot but it is better than regular Carmex and Blistex, they have none. This balm has done in weeks what years of Carmex could not. I would buy this lip balm again in a second.

If you don't like the smell of rose or stronger fragrance then this lip care stick might not be for you. It smells fairly strongly of roses, although I don't mind it. I also wouldn't mind if they lessened it a little bit. It feels very good on the lips...just the right consistency, like it's really doing something. I can't tell if it lasts or not...I find myself reapplying quite often but that's probably because I'm a lip balm addict. The price, to me, is worth it because I think this will last me for a while. I will definitely buy this one again.

I got this for myself when I realize I am in my mid 22, and I need to take care my lips.
The product is great, though the price is not.
At first when I applied it, it felt waxy, but after a while it is fine. My lips are never chap, but I think it gave my lips a bit of pink shade after few application.
The herbal ingredients probably restored health to my lips' .

I prefer this stick balm to the pot version. It is VERY smooth and glides on lips effortlessly, giving the lips a subtle sheen but non-greasy. I love the rose scent, and unlike the pot version, this stick last me a whole winter without smelling off. Am I the only one who finds that this balm stick makes the lips look a little bit rosy?

Let me start this review by saying that I have extremly dry lips. Most lip balms don't do a thing for me-I can't even feel they are doing anything else beside sitting on top of my lips. This one, however, has some effect on my dry lips-but nothing remarkable. My lips feel moisturised when I put it on but the effect doesn't last very long. Needless to say, for me it isn't worth the price and won't repurchase it.

Thank you Dr. Hauschka! After a recent cold my lips were red and sore and the skin under my nose burned from constantly blowing my nose. Tried Blistex, to no effect. Was in the health food store and grabbed this stick because I'd heard so much about it and it didn't let me down! Within half an hour the soreness had disappeared completely! I even tried it on the skin above my lips (it didn't look great but I was desperate!) and it calmed it down completely.

This felt really smooth going on, like it was protecting my lips but it also made them look shiny in a bad way, almost greasy looking. It moisturized okay I think, no better or worse than your typical drugstore lipbalm so it definitely wasn't worth the fairly high price tag. It also had this really horrible herbal/medicinal scent that I just could not get over. For the hour or so that I had this on, the smell hung around and just would not dissipate and if I happened to lick my lips, it tasted really gross as well, like I was eating potpourri or soap or something. GROSS. Those two were really the dealbreakers for me. It's an okay balm with a horrible scent and horrible taste in a convenient swivel up tube which is kind of overpriced. Not my cup of tea.

I absolutely love, love, love this product. I feel like my search for finding the perfect lip balm is at last over. It goes on smoothly, and I feel like my skin is actually absorbing the moisture. I don't find that I have to constantly apply it , and so I feel like it's repaired my dried lips without doing so addictively. I don't find it waxy, and my skin has not broken out from it. There is suppose to be a rose scent about it which I'm not picking up on, but nevertheless, the scent is quite natural and unobtrusive. The price is a little steep, but it's worth every dime in my book. One tube has lasted me three months. I would most definitely use this again.

God Bless Dr. Hauschka! I recently got braces and have horrible dryness on my lips and corners of my mouth. I tried Blistex, Burts Bees and Carmex. None of them worked as well as this. Carmex even gave me pimples around my mouth. Dr. Hauschka's is light, not greasy, non-habit forming and smells great. Highly recommended. I'll pay the higher price. It's worth it.

A lot of lip balms just feel like wax, eww, but this is nice & smooth. It's pretty expensive, more so than any other lip stuff I've ever used, but I find it does a better job than anything else. It leaves my lips very soft & smooth. I have repurchased several times & don't think I will ever switch. Whenever I try something else (cheaper) I think, now THIS is a waste of money, better to spend more on something that really works!

I love this lip balm. It softens lips and I actually like the scented essential oils. I find this to be addictive. I usually use clarins moisture replenishing lip balm but I'm addicted to this one. I think I will buy an extra one for me and one for my sister so she can try this. I do not have chapped lips so this product will effectively moisturize and prevent chapped lips. for those who have very chapped lips this may not be enough to heal it..

It is an expensive lip balm!!! Didnt really enjoy the so called "rose" fragrance. It feels sort of oily on the lips. My old friend, Blistex lip conditioner is better and 4 times cheaper. Performance wise, this lip balm is ok but my blistex was superb. I will rate no.1 to blistex, then no.2 for tis out of all the others ive tried. The only thing i like about this over blistex is the packaging, as i dun enjoy sticking my finger into a pot over and over again. That was the reason why i purchased this first place. I guess I'll be back to my old pot soon.

Excellent, excellent, excellent. Love this stuff. I bought it after reading about in in INSTYLE's article Best of Beauty 2004 in Spring 2004 and been using it every since. It really lasts for quite some time on the lips and I don't need to keep reapplying and reapplying. It's soft and works very well to prevent chapped lips. It also allows for lip color to successfully go on right after it in the mornings. I love this stuff. Don't care about the price either if it is bothering others - it is worth it. TRY THIS.

Excellent product for dry lips. Moisturising and yet is light enough for everyday use as it's not too greasy or sticky. It also gives a natural sheen to lips so you won't need to apply any additional lip gloss. Moreover the scent is neutral not overpowering. Definitely worth a try.

This lip balm helped to relieve my lips of dryness, sensitivity and itchiness (have not figured out what caused it yet). Lipstick hurts, Neutrogena lip balm hurts, even Kiels #1 lip balm hurts. My lips can only tolerate this when it goes cranky. It gives such a nice natural sheen to the lips that I went without lipstick when I'm healing. Packaging is not sexy but the balm does the job. A definite keeper.

One of my favorite lip treatment. Its so moisture and easy to absorb by lips, make my lips become very soften and its long-lasting.
