Perfect MLBB (with a kick) shadow that can be dressed up or down depending on mood or occasion. Texture is a warm peachy brown with some soft shimmer that isn't in your face frost or glitter. This was one of my very first MAC purchases and probably one of the only items that I still own from that trip to the MAC counter. I will repurchase this again...when the time comes. For reference, I'm C7/NC45 and today I wore it with UDPP as a base, Arena or All That Glitters as a wash, Texture over that and blended in the crease, Swiss Chocolate in the outter corner, Arena to highlight and Stubborn Brown pp for a very "simple" and neutral lazy day face. ;-)

Perfect my-lids-but-better colour for my NC50 skintone. It's soft and blendable, matte with a few tiny sparkles. I've been using this with Mac Dress Khaki Liquidlast liner for a simple but not too boring look for day.

Another great neutral brown, with subtle peach undertones. I use it as wash or alone for that YEBB look on lazy days.

This is a great color for blue eyes. The MUA suggested Goldbit as a base, Texture in the crease and Tempting in the outer V. It looks so great together. Pair this with a bronzer, Subculture lip liner and Expensivo lipstick for a wonderful summer look. For reference I am a NW15, blue eyes, blonde hair.

This is a beautiful taupe color with an orangish/reddish undertone. Many people mentioned it as a brown its sort of in between a brown and taupe as it is slightly darker than taupe but lighter than brown. Definitely shows up on my C4 skin as I have problems with other colors not showing up well. Slight sparkles to it. VERY similar to saddle, except saddle is matte. I had a tough time debating between the two. Same basic color as antiqued except antiques is a veluxe pearl and is slightly darker with a good amount of shimmers. The two would go well together. I was looking for a color like this and I am so glad to finally have found it. I always wanted that neutral color with very slight orangish/peachy/burgandy tone (hard to tell which one it was) like the female leads in One Tree Hill, but I didn't know where to look because I couldnt even accurately describe the undertone, but this color was it! **** 11/14/07 I had to let this one go, maybe its because I am not as tan as before, but it looked orange to me. I ended up buying soft brown instead. I still gave a 3 because although it looked too orangey on me, it may look better on those darker than NC30.

Texture is one of my favorite and most versatile MAC shadows. It's a matte medium brown with peachy orange tones. I typically use it in the crease with endless combinations of other colors. My favorite colors to pair it with are Milani Classic Beige (like MAC Shroom) on the brow & lid and Nehru as a liner. The orange tones are just enough to really make the blue in my eyes pop. The brown tones keep it neutral and natural. This is one of those great "workhorse" colors that people often skip over because it's not as bright or sparkly as other MAC shadows, but you'd be doing yourself a disservice by not looking at it. It's subtle, beautiful, and works with so many things. I'm a cool-toned PPP with blue-green eyes.

I hate to be the one to break up the party, but Texture did not work on me at all. It looked so pretty on the brush, an orangey-brown with teeny silver sparkles, but on my eyes it was a matte muddy orange that reminded me of Georgia red clay. It was really unnatural and unflattering. I thought it would work well with my pale complexion and blue/grey eyes, but no. Back to MAC it goes!

Texture (as everyone else has stated) is definitely not your regular, boring-looking brown. It is a warmer toned brown, with peachy undertones and subtle golden shimmer. I highly recommend using Arena as a browbone highlighter with this, since Texture seems (to me) to be the darker version of Arena. The 2 colors compliment each other beautifully.

This really IS as pretty as everyone says. It's been described clearly enough on here--peachy brown. At first I was worried when I got it because most of the reviews are from darker-skinned people than me (I'm NC25-ish), and I couldn't get it to look right at first. I played with it a while, and now I know how to make it work. :-) I especially love it in the crease and outer 'v' with Bagatelle, which is another gem. I've never seen this kind of brown from any other brand, too.

This shadow is a really pretty brown shade that looks really nice on its own or with other shades. I use it with arena on the browbone. My skin is also NC 45 and it's a nice, natural shade on me. I know that if I wanted something more dramatic I could layer it. I definitely recommend this colour!

One of my very first eyeshadows from my very first haul. I bought this shadow when I was a makeup newbie and stuck to only neutrals. Even though I've graduated to incorporate colors in my looks, I still find myself going back to Texture. On my C7/NC45 skin, it goes on a warm peachy brown with some soft shimmer. I love to wear it with Motif and Brown Down over Taupographic shadestick for a great neutral look with a little pop.

This was a nice break from the usual rounds of browns I am used to. It is very wearable and would probably look good on ANY skin tone no matter shade, eye color, etc. It's a bit on the warm side but no hints of red which can make blue eyes look dull and give some brown eyes a tired look. I wouldn't have given this color a second look but an MA pointed this color out to me. She used Folie in the crease and Naked Lunch on the brow bone for a GREAT dramatic eye that can be worn day or night. And I usually don't go for dramatic shadow but this color is very wearable. A definite staple. GGG here.

This is a makeup basic that every lady should have in her makeup stash :-)
I got this one in a swap, at first I thought that it was a very un-spectacular & quite ordinary brown shade... But on the eyelids it looks more like a beautiful orangey brown. Very flattering and this shade goes well with several other shades.
Looks pretty with my hazel eyes. :-)

This color looks like any other brown eyeshadow in the pan, but this is not a basic brown. This is a brown eyeshadow that actually brightens my brown eyes, who would have thought. It's a peachy brown with subtle shimmer. It has very quickly become a staple of mine. I've been wearing this just about everyday since I bought it.

I wouldn't have looked twice at this beautiful eyeshadow if it wasn't for the MAC MA. She suggested this one for my blue eyes telling me I wouldn't regret buying it. She was right and I now own another MAC eyeshadow I love to bits.

Well, I was quite happy with all my MAC shadows thus far, but have discovered my 4 matte textured shadows (Caring Coral, Felt Blue, Bark and Silly Goose) have began to crack easy, and I have to "dig" more to get the shadow out. Still good quality, but I will stick with frost, satin. Bummer!

Very nice color! The color can be sheer or you can build it up for a more deeper, dramatic effect. Excellent color! I pair it with either Jest, Shroom, Amber Lights, or Bronze.
