I received this as a sample over two months now. I'm old...well, I feel old so I have very infrequent breakout...one, usually. Thank goodness for getting old and proactive. :-) I just brush a little on the area and poof! the next day, it's gone. I will definately repurchase since no pimple is priceless!

I've been using this for just over two weeks right now. I usually break out very badly at my TOM, once right at the beginning and then once as I'm ending. I started using this right as I started breaking out and I think it's helped some. I usually get the huge cystic zits right along my jawline and this has seemed to help shorten their life span. It's not a miracle worker by any means but it does help. I will say that it might be a miracle worker if you are applying it morning and night. I've just been applying it in the morning since I use other creams and potions at night and didn't want to irrate my skin. It also helps tone down the redness of the zits by a lot. If you use this, then the BE bisque and then your BE foundation, you can't see a zit. Obviously if the zit's in a spot that usually isn't raised, you may still be able to see a bump. I have one right below my mouth where my chin creases a little and you can see it's raised but it blends right in from straight on.

I'd recommend giving this a try if you respond well to sulfar treatments. I haven't had any issues that the previous posters had about it causing more zits but I'm also only using it as a spot treatment. I think for the tiny amount I use that it should last me a LONG time so I think it's worth the money. I prefer this over any other spot treatment I've tried.

This is one of better blemish treatments that I have tried so far. Just a little bit of this power helps calm and diminish the pimples. I mostly use it at night time but sometimes apply a little bit on those very red and nasty pimples over my makeup. It helps absorbs the oiliness a lot. The brush that came with it is quite useless. I apply it with my fingertip without any problem.
I can say it vanquish all breakouts easily. Usually the smaller bumps will go away in a day or two. But for the more serious cyst or very red bumps, it will take about 4 to 5 days.

This product works real well for me, it covers a blemish as well as making it go away after a day or two. The packaging is so-so but the product and the price make up of it completely. I'd buy it again :-D

This treatment has a somewhat innovative concept--a skin-toned powder blemish treatment--but isn't particularly effective nor natural looking. Those with very mild and infrequent blemishes may find this to be a good solution, but for me it's not worth it.

I didn't like this product at all. It irritated my skin, causing a burning and itching sensation. I tried to use it for a few days anyhow, but I didn't see any difference in the blemishes I was using it on. The smell is also very unpleasant. I knew that sulfur has a bad odor, but I hoped they would add something to it to mask the smell.

I returned it, and would not repurchase.

I got a small sample of Rare Minerals Blemish Therapy some time ago, but I didn't bother to try it out until recently.
I do use a cleanser with sulfur in it because I know that sulfur works well against my breakouts (occasional, and then a bigger hormonal breakout once a month). I thought it would be a good idea to try a product with sulfur that actually stays on my skin, instead of bring rinsed off after a couple minutes.

At first I used the blemish therapy more or less as intended. I didn't use it as an overnight treatment, because I already have other things that I like for that. I did use it as a day-time blemish treatment/"concealer" under my other makeup (or alone on non-makeup days). It's hard to say if it worked for me very much during this time. It was alright, but not good enough to make me feel like I wanted to actually buy it.
I found that if I used it over a slightly larger area of skin (like on my "acne prone" areas, instead of strictly as a spot treatment) I experienced mild skin irritation (which shouldn't be a surprise as I do have sensitive skin).

It wasn't until recently that I found a slightly different use of this product ... and if I continue to see pretty good results, I'll consider buying it, and maybe improving my ranking of it here.

The way I'm using the Rare Minerals Blemish Therapy that's working for me is actually to use it sort of like a "setting powder" for my concealer.
In other words, if I have a blemish I'm trying to hide, I'll do all my normal skincare, primer, foundation/concealer ... and after that I used to just set my whole face with translucent powder.
What I have been doing lately is to use the tiny brush to gently blend just a little touch of this product over any actual blemishes and/or healing blemishes that still need a bit of extra help.
I find that this powder adds just a little bit to the coverage, and that it does not seem to accentuate rough, irritated or flakey skin. At the moment, I think I am seeing some good results from this treatment, so I will keep it up for a while and decide if it's actually helping or not.

I just wanted to add that I think this might be a good product for the makeup-shy guy or man who'd like to conceal acne a bit while treating it at the same time. There's not enough color in this to give "full coverage" and make a blemish disappear, but there is enough that it makes them sort of fade into the background and not "jump out at you" without giving a "makeup" look.

My mom got this for me because since I have had two kids my skin has become much more acne prone. I use it only as a spot treatment because I also have senstive skin and it can be a little drying also. It works great as a spot treatment. If I feel a pimple coming on I apply it and is heals before it get a chance to start. I also love the brush is comes with. I works as a good conceler also. It is a bit pricey though, as with most of the BE line.

I was at first skeptical on buying a loose powder to help heal my blemishes, but after using it, I have to say I'm quite impressed by this smart product. Before whenever I would get a pimple, I would immediately put a liquid spot treatment on the area and notice only a small improvement, if any. Sometimes I would also notice the area would get clogged even more which I never thought twice about. Now I know that what I needed was this fabulous product that is strictly a powder that will do it's duty and dry up the pimple instead of clogging it further with more liquid gunk. I'm very impressed by this and love the fact that I finally found something to fade away acne scars I've had on my temples for a few months now. It also conceals my blemishes wonderfully until they are gone. I use it all the time and have had no irritation whatsoever. Will definitely buy again when my pot runs out.

My fav acne treatment! It doesn't dry my skin, and it does a pretty good job as an overnight treatment. The only problem is it cannot help with my large pores and the scars...

I've had this for several weeks and tried it at different points in my skin routine. This is what seemed to work the best: At night, treat my whole face with my regular things (lotion, pigment evener). Go back and wipe off the blemishes so they have nothing on them (a q-tip and hot water ensures I've got it all and it opens the pore). Press the Rare Minerals powder on the spot. Sleep overnight. Sites of pimples should be less prominent in the morning. Completely ineffective for me using it any other way. Doesn't seem to work on the deeper stuff. This is less effective than Benzoyl Peroxide but 3 times the price. Use if you can't use BP or Salicylic Acid. Otherwise, skip.

Would I buy again? Yes and I have. Let me explain: I have hormonal skin (age 45) that's gone wacko. I don't have tons of acne but tend to get tiny whiteheads once a month. Also, pores around my nose have gotten slightly bigger. Now mind you, I have good skin. I really take care of it--heads up: crushed aspirin as a daily exfoliator makes a world of difference. I use SPF 15 in everything...despite that, I get the once a month oilies and irritants. I DO like this for those times. Yeah, it's sulphur. It's got nothing on the sulphur shower I once took in La Push Washington (which, by the way, made my best hair day ever but boy was that stinky and the water yellow). It's slightly stinky if you inhale this. I can't smell it around my nose. I like to use this as night to cover and treat red spots or those monthly whiteheads. By morning....gone. It's stupidly expensive for the amount you get and I refuse to believe this can't be a LOT cheaper...thus one lippie off and that's being generous. To be truthful, I should rate it 3 lippies for everyone else but since this is my review for how it works for me...it gets 4. Even my husband's nose crater got stopped in its tracks by this thing (we tried it applied with the brush dampened). Thing is, if you reorder, you get yet another brush. Kind of unnecessary. All in all, I like this WAY better than anything else BE makes. And there you have it.

Have to say I'm pretty surprised by the low reviews! I've been using this product for a little over a week along with the rest of the BE Rare Mineral line and (for many years) BE foundation! I love it. I have acne prone skin and get many dark blemishes after the pimple goes away. After just using this product for only a week I've noticed my blemishes are fading away and I've had very few new breakouts. For me this is very exciting as I've tried many other products over the years with no success! This product is well worth the money...I will NEVER turn back!

this burned my skin and made it very flakey and red and just irritated in general...and its hard to conceal that kind of reaction. The skin around my nose I felt was going to bleed when I applied it there. Just wasn't for me at all

BE seems to be a company that either you love, or you hate. Few people are really "meh" about the product line. Personally, I like the foundation (it's so fricken easy to use!) and have nothing against the brushes. I've been very curious about the Rare Minerals line, but I need to use the skin care I have and not spend the $60 for the night treatment. When this was introduced on QVC, it sounded pretty good - I have large pores and occasional acne and this would, supposidely, take care of both of those issues.

I said supposidely, but this didn't really do anything for my pores or blackheads. Oh well. I sort of expected that, but hey - a fool and her money, right? Now, you've probably looked at the rating I gave this and are wondering wtf, right? This stuff works on my cystic acne - I mean, overnight works - if the blemish forms during the day, I'll apply this using the included brush (although, any dense brush would probably work to pack this product on with) after my normal routine at night. By morning, either the thing is gone (no where to be found) or it's been reduced and with another application is gone by the end of the day. Nothing else I've tried works like this. Nothing.

Comes in a sifter jar, similar to the foundations, and has a "conceal and heal" brush included (it looks just like a concealer brush). I think I paid $25 or so from QVC. The product is a loose powder (imagine that!) and contains sulfur which is noticable by the scent. The smell does disappear fairly quickly after application. For me, this does not leave any real "finish" to my skin (IE, it doesn't look like I put anything on), although I have noticed my skin looks *slightly* matte if I've applied this heavily where I'm normally oily (T-zone).

Because I do not use it every day (anymore, anyways - it just didn't take care of all of my issues), I'll probably be able to pass this on to my grandkids. No need for me to repurchase.

I love this product. I don't think it makes all the difference on occasional breakouts, but enlarged pores on the other hand... Wow! Nothing has ever really helped decreasing the size of the pores on my nose before, but this one really does. And it doesn't dry my skin, as other products I've tried did. If you have overall "normal" skin, acne-products can often make eveything worse, but as even normal skin breaks out or appears uneven, stressed etc. etc (that IS normal! Our skin is the body's largest organ, remember?) this product is great.
I use it as a base on my T-zone every morning and evening (I use BE make up as well).
However, it did take me some weeks to really see the difference, but as the product doesn't irritate my skin at all, that's really not a problem. Especially since the difference now is permanent! So, recommended as a a daily product, not as a cure. But definitely recommended!

I got a huge sample of this when I purchased alot of products from Bare Escentuals (all disappointing) and this was no different.

When I did use this religiously for quite a while, I saw absolutely no difference to my skin and it did nothing to my blemishes, great idea...big bust.

This is a product that I had really high hopes for, but it really doesn't seem to make a difference in my skin. A dab of Neosporin or retinol cream before bed is my sure fire blemish solution. And this costs more than those two products put together. I wanted to like it because it would be a natural alternative to my usual anti-blemish regimen, but this is just not that great a product in my opinion. It still got 3 lippies because I like the concept, and it semi-conceals blemishes while treating. If only it helped my blemishes it would be the perfect product.
