I admit, I was a little hesitant when I read that there's mineral oil and petrolatum in this moisturizer, since I do have skin that is prone to acne. However, I had no choice but to use this since I ran out of moisturizer and my skin was incredibly dry after the shower. I borrowed this from my sister. Initial feeling when putting this on - it's light, but not *super* light. It moisturizer *just* enough for normal skin and It dries within about 5-10 minutes of me putting it on. I understand completely where the other reviewer is coming from, saying this smells of hospitals & diapers. And although I personally don't smell diapers or hospitals, it *does* smell EXACTLY like baby lotion. I think the one maybe from the pink bottle? And though it has mineral oil and petrolatum, it hasn't broken me out which I was pretty surprised.
Overall, this is a pretty basic moisturizer. Great if that's all you're looking for- works for me because I like to use each of my products, ie: moisturizer, sunscreen, treatments, anti-aging, ect., on it's own over each other rather than having them already mixed together. Therefore, I don't take any stars off for it not having an SPF or anti-aging properties in this. I took off a star for the smell - I don't like to feel like I'm putting baby lotion on my face. Gives me a feeling that I'm going to break out or something.

Olay will never discontinue this lovely product, it is way too powerful and is a staple of their classic (very limited line). What a looooong way Olay has come what with all the new products and lines that have been spawned by essentially this one amazing product. Love the matte feeling of my skin after applying this and the fact that it keeps lines and dullness at bay, all without the new fangled anti-aging ingredients that now underscore Olay. This light and non-greasy but very effective lotion is still the same great product that it was when it was under the Oil of Olay name. A wonderful classic that stays on the market, BECAUSE IT WORKS.

This is the only moisturizer that doesn't break me out and I am very clog/acne prone. It gives me just enough moisturizer and never feels heavy. I don't mind the scent, the price is great and it lasts a long time and sinks in. What is not to love! My HG!!!

I was hoping to like this product so badly! I just finished a couple samples of a Lancome cream. (sorry I forget the name) and I love it, it absorbs well, good under makeup, good scent, the only thing is its about 60 bucks and I dont really want to spend that much so i tried looking for a cheaper alternative. I tried searching for a good moisturizer that wont cost too much and remembered that my mom and my aunts used to use Olay. My aunt (who has great skin with barely any wrinkles for a 47 year old) told me to try this one. I went on MUA to check the reviews and I was convinced! I ran to the nearest Target and bought the smaller bottle. When I got home that night, I went through my usual skincare routine and was excited to finally try it. I put a few dots of it on my face and proceeded to massage it in. First thing i noticed was the scent! Yuck! It smelled like something between a hospital or a diaper, I cant't explain it! I even rubbed some on the back of my hand and asked my BF what he thought of the smell and the first thing he said was Hospital, then he said it smelled like his grandmas retirement home. (So sad) Then I noticed that it didn't feel like it absorbed too well. Almost like it just sat on top of my skin. It didnt feel greasy but it did feel a little sticky. After about almost 10 minutes it finally felt like it wasnt just sitting on top of my face anymore but I could still smell the nasty scent. I'm going to try it one more time under my makeup but I think i'm going to return this. I love that it's under 10 bucks but i think i would much rather pay alot of money to get a better product than cheap out and get something like this.

This is my HG moisturizer. It works fantastic, pretty much all the positive reviews here on MUA have it spot-on. It absorbs quickly and I can instantly feel the difference it makes on my skin, it's so moisturizing yet light. The smell is strong, yet comforting; Like many other fans of this product I feel the scent has a nostalgic, sentimental quality to it and therefore I find it very appealing. I use this every night and occasionally as a primer before I apply makeup, it's just great. It gets the job done, does what it's made to do, with no frills and no huge price tag. Can't ask for anything more.
*EDIT* I'd just like to add that after a few days using the beauty fluid at least twice a day (after washing my face before makeup application in the morning or midday, and after washing my face at night) my skin is the softest and smoothest it has EVER been. Yesterday I nonchalantly touched my face and at first thought something weird was on my face because my skin was SO soft and smooth. This stuff is freakin' amazing.

I really love love love this fluid! Actually I'm surprised it never occurred to me to try this earlier. My mother used to use it all the time when it was called Oil of Olay in the pretty glass jar, when she was in her 70's people used to tell her she looked very young for a 50-year-old! But in spite of that it never occurred to me to try it. But I was using the one with the SPF15 for a long time and I was pleased with it, but I wanted a day cream without sunscreen, because it's winter, because sometimes I only go out at night, etc. So since I liked the Olay with sunscreen I thought I'd try the original. It is really really nice, it gives me perfect smooth skin with not a single blemish (I use something else at night) and it feels refreshing and cool, also. Not that that is really important however. I would've preferred something a bit more moisturizing, but I also tried the Olay original cream, the pink one in a jar, but I didn't like it as much, it was stickier. I was surprised at any rate, because I like to only use natural products and I stay away from mineral oil and petro by-products and that sort of thing, so I was surprised that something with mineral oil and petro by-products could work so well.

I am really surprised by this stuff. I figured that with the mineral oil and petroleum, that it would make me breakout in an instant. Well it's been about a week and no zits yet (knock on wood). I purchased this stuff because, in the winter months my skin tends to get very dry and flaky. I figured this would be a good solution to my problems and it pleasantly was. It's kept my face hydrated, yet not oily, nor oily later in the day. I don't have the flakiness or tightness in my skin either. I am so glad I picked this little gem up.

Are we serious here? The main ingredients here are 2 main petro chemicals , mineral oil and petrolatum, I used to use this when there was little choice like more than 30 years ago, If this stuff was so great then Olay wouldn't have had to change their entire game plan because this was their main moisturizer way back when. No matter how much money Olay puts into adverts they will not convince me.

HG Have been using this since it was in the glass bottle and was called Oil of Olay (Americans freak out about anything with Oil in its name!). Fast absorbing, nostalgic Mom-smell, and always does the trick when you have a dry area. Oh I love this. I will always buy this until I die. Has to be the pink formula with no extras (no UV protection or anything--that kills it!).

This is the moisturizer I use on my neck, cheeks and other dry spots. I have used it since I was a little girl because my mom used to use it. It reminds me of my mom putting lotion on my face. Perhaps just because of that I do enjoy the scent, but if you are sensitive to perfumes, it might not work well for you. It is not suitable for the oilier parts of my face more prone to breakouts but I do love it and how soft my skin feels. It absorbs quickly and doesn't feel greasy. Personally, I love that it is cheap, fast absorbing, non-pore clogging, simple moisturizer that doesn't feel greasy or sting.

HOLY GRAIL. My skin is extremely dry especially during the winter and i live off this. If i don't have if for a week my skin will be absolutely horrible. The only thing is that it smells kind of like baby powder, I'm okay with it but i wouldn't mind if they changed it.

I love this stuff. A little background on my skin. I'm 20 years old and I have dry skin year round, but in the summer it becomes combination around my chin. I need a moisturizer that gives me a good dose of moisture without clogging my pores and doesn't leave me feeling greasy. This does it.
It has a very light scent that isn't super noticeable like some creams, but is very pleasant. I always associate it with my skin care ritual. It smells clean and fresh and dewy. I will buy this forever.

Love this. It's a really light non-greasy fluid which suits my combination skin. I only need to use this when my skin feels a bit dehyrated. It leaves no greasy residue or film on my skin and sinks right in. It's my total HG moisturiser- much better than more expensive ones such as MD formulations which is 6 times the price for half the amount of product. I don't mind the fragrance, it's quite comforting, and it doesn't last long on me anyway. I like the pale pink colour too. It's not suitable for those with dry skin as they will need the richer cream version- but this is great for me. Will definatly be buying this again and again.

I have really sensitive skin and this irritated it but I'm giving it a 5 because of a family friend that has gotten great results from it. She has been using this every day since she was a teen and she's now in her 60's. Her skin looks like she is in her early 30's and has perfect skin. I couldn't believe it when she said this is what she uses because this is so cheap (price). So I recommend this for anyone who wants to have younger perfect looking skin.

I love this product. I love the smell. I love the consistency.
I love the price. I put it on my hands. I put in on my feet (I know it's not for that). I put it on my girls' faces.
My mother has used this for as long as I can remember and she looks incredible for her age.
My only wish is that Olay would market a hydrating mask.
For the entirety of my twenties I was a combination/oily skin and then one morning I woke up and now have dry, acne prone skin. So if Olay would do this, I'd be thrilled.

I have a box that says simply OLAY BEAUTY FLUID, non-greasy, for dry/normal/combination skin which I bought in the UK for close to £5. I am not sure if this is the same stuff, but I can't find any product on makeup alley to match the one I have so I'll write my review here.
I have had major problems with dry skin, and the moisturiser (Eau Thermale Avene Antirougeurs) I was using just didn't cut it at £13, more than double the price of Olay. It left my skin dry still, didn't reduce redness and was as liquidy as water.
Olay, on the other hand, is not too liquidy and has a nice consistency which stays together on your hand (not in the slightest runny) but spreads nicely and evenly over your face. You only need a little bit to cover your whole face and neck.
I use this morning and night, exfoiliating just once or twice per week, and I don't have dry skin anymore! My foundation just slides on quickly and easily now.
At £5 this is a steal because of how long it lasts and how great it is. It feels so lightweight yet is such a potent moisturiser. Although I use it day and night, and although it is richly moisturising (I only know because of how quickly it's gotten rid of my dry skin), it hasn't given me one single zit or any problems whatsoever. My skin feels silky smooth.
I'd recommend this moisturiser to anyone. It's brilliant.
