I like this M from Mariah! I tested this once at a department store and liked it right away. Sometimes when I get home, I see perfumes in a different light and ask myself ,"Why did I buy this?"
Not this time! It has such a lovely aroma, almost sophisticated yet comfortable to wear. The sillage is wonderful and the fragrance lasts all day! Hey you other perfumers - ask for the secret to "M's" staying power. This is what I find most lacking in modern perfumery. Such as,
Fabulosity - wonderful perfume, but the staying power is not good! Try this lovely perfume from Mariah. I don't think you will be disappointed. I just sprayed it - mmmm. Love it! UPDATE: the more I wear it, the more I love it. The notes are wonderful and soothing!

i loved the idea of smelling like a marshmallow at sea, but on me, i really only end up smelling the salt. has anyone else had this issue? i sniff the bottle sometimes, but wearing it does nothing good for me.

I sampled this scent at my local store. For a celebrity fragrance - this is better than most. it's sweet ,heady and intense. It lasts too. However, it is not for me as it gave me a headache.

This is my favorite perfume since my love for Red Door and Chloe Narcisse back in the day.I have over 40 perfumes but I made sure I got 3 bottles of M and a lotion.This perfume is good! It lasts it is light but lovely.It does smell like tiare flower at first but then the marshmallow is noticable then the incense in the dry down is fabulous! The marshmallow and incense is what makes this perfume good.I really like this and Ralph hot.They are somewhat warm and foody type scents and I consider these two M and Ralph hot my signature scents! M gets 10 stars! The best celebrity perfume next to Fantasy!

M by mariah carey is quite similar to estee lauders pleasures delight - i think it is the marshmallow. lasting power is good.

it is a bit on the sweet side but light. the butterfly on top of the bottle is really tacky ...

I got this as a free sample when buying another scent and I love it. I had never tried any Mariah Carey perfumes before but i definitley would now. I like the staying power, as well as the compliments I recieved wearing it!

Not only do I love Mariah-I love this perfume! Very elegant and sophisticated. Sweet and slightly musky. Very yummy! Fresh but mature at the same time. Love it! Oh, and this has really great staying power, too.

THis stuff is so gross. When I first put it on, I thought that it smelled surprisingly good, kind of sweet like cancy. After a few minutes though it turned into this awful old lady perfume smell. It turned into a really strong odor and i was scrubbing my skin trying to get it off. The worst part is this perfume just lingered. You should definitely try this out before buying it.

I got this perfume for my birthday last weekend and its really nice. I was surprised at how nice this smells and the lasting power is nice as well. The pretty purple bottle and butterfly top makes a very pretty addition to my perfume tray.

I really love this product and I cant believe how long this lasts. Has a really good smell to it and would def. recommend it. Now I believe it could be a little over priced. But to me it was def. worth it.

As a teen, I can say that I love this perfume. It isn't as sweet and bubbly-gummy as Britney's perfumes; in fact, it's quite sensual smelling. Cost wise it's perfect, I got mine for $20.

I really didn't want to like this perfume because I'm not a Mariah Carey fan, but I like it. 'M' lasts for a while and as you wear it, it warms and lets off soft vanilla-y notes.I don't know what they were saying when they talked about toasted marshmellow, I can't smell them.

But this perfume is perfect for the teen-young adult range. Not all of us can pull of Chanel number 5.

I adore this beautiful perfume. The bottle is like a mini work of art, with the purple butterfly. And the scent inside is quite ethereal. It's incensey to avoid an overload of sweetness, but it blends perfectly well with the marshmallow, and tiare. It is so gorgeous, especially the dry down. I imagine I'd wear this year round because it has a comforting note but also perfect to wear to the beach or in the summer. Instead of being just sugary and foody it has a sensuality as well. In my opinion it is versatile because I wear it during the day and night. I feel so feminine wearing this, an instant pick me up. Well done Mariah!

I am so surprised , I was given a lot of samples at one of Canada's Boutique SDM (which is a drugstore which sells high end to low make-up .They will be bring in Serge Lutens soon as SDM is eager to be cutting edge in stores. They even sell leather purses ,gold jewellery and some clothing. So back to the perfume , and it is a eau d Parfum. I admit I am a snob about it celebraty fumes as they are so fleeting.
But this is a gem , if your skin chemistry is right. It has one note(amber) that I cannot wear in it and it smells deli-sh in M. Go figure? No huge sweetness here or nor do I detect much marshmallow but a yummy sweetness, dry it is NOT.It is a cozy smell ,very wearable I believe they have attempted to make a soft eveningscent for the crowd who like to switch scents & possibly follow celeb scents. This is a GOOD scent , it is not scary strong or a scrubber. Yes it goes on strong when it dries and settles it is enchanting(really). The person who does not care for heady florals might like this one. I smell a oriental with just the right amount of amber in it ,which makes it long lasting on me. I put it on in evening sniffed it all night, took a shower next morning and yes a hint of it was still there! Shock for me again as most perfumes last at most a hour or 2! Yes it does have some depth , a mild sophistication,or a good entry level scent for those who are not committed to perfume like we on the perfume board are usually. Young men to seniors will love it as it makes sexy vibes on ,well it is by or for Mariah gals LOL, I am not about age in our choice of scent I am fine wearing it. I don't always want a serious scent , Some sillage but not enough to annoy. I really cannot say too much bad about it. Except the price which is 62.00 in CAN which is more for a established perfume. I would price it in the 49 to 60 dollar range but you can find deals on it. So out of all the celeb scents I have tested and I try to test them all , I give this a okay rating. UPDATE I did not open the bottleI bought as I lost all interest in it after taking a good sniffa / maybe I was far to hasty it is so so to me now

I got a sample of this scent from a MUA user, and it is lovely! a lot of the reviewers here seem to think it's too sweet but I think it's very nice. it reminds me of the Barbie perfume I used to have as a kid, but a grown-up version. maybe the reason why I appreciate this sweet scent more than the other reviewers is because I am 19 years old :D

The reviews for this are really hit and miss so I would suggets to anyone wnating to try, test it on yourself.

I know alot of people claim this fragrance has marshmallow in it and very deep vanilla scents. However on me (who LOVES sweet and candy-like scents- Two of my faves are Pink Sugar and L by Lolita Lempika) this is not vanilla and marshmallowy AT ALL!

Its nice, dont get me wrong.I got it at Macy's for $25.00 for the full sized bottle, roll on and lotion set (box was damaged so I got a deal from the manager). It starts off way too perfumey for me, but when it dries down its a soft, sexy playful scent. Its a little sweet but nothing cloying-more of an incense sweetness.

I like it but this dosnt last very well even with layering the lotion under the perfume. I have to refresh frequently with the roll-on.

Personally, I love the bottle. I think its whimsical and fun. The perfume doesnt smell little girly but the bottle allows us to be a little cutesy and I like that.

If you are looking for more marshmallow/cotton candy scents, try PINK SUGAR by Aquolina.

UPDATE: Im going to try swapping this. When the weatehr gets warmer the perfume seems to "turn" on my skin and I smell burtn rather than light and sweet.

The bottle is the freaking cutest thing ever! This perfume smells so sexy and sweet, I always get asked what I'm wearing everywhere I go.

It smells like sexy marshmellows. :) lol

Not a bad fragrance. Probably one of the longer lasting celebrity fragrances, which is nice.

On me, all it is is vanilla. Vanilla at first, vanilla all the way through. I don't mind vanilla. I just wish these celebs went to real parfumers to create their fragrances, none of this Coty or AE fragrance-makers. That way, the scents would be much more dimensional.

When I heard this fragrance had marshmallow I just couldn't wait to smell it and I though I'd really would like it since I LOVE sweet and candy-like scents (cotton candy, bubblegum, candy, cupacke, marshmallow etc... scents!). But when I smelled it for the first time I was a little disappointed. It doesn't smell too much like marshmallows and even though it's sweet, I wish it was sweeter and in a candy-sweetness way, and I wish it smelled soo much more like marshmallows. It smells like incense and marshmallows all mixed together, but the incense kinda ruins the marshmallow yumminess, it smells good, but not in a yummy, candy way, which is what I'd have liked. I just adore candy and sugar girly overdose on fragrances, so that's why I don't find this fragrance to be perfect. I'd just overdose it on marshmallow and in a lot more girly sweetness. Even though it's not bad at all, it's actually good, this could have been better if it had more sweetness and marshmallow and if it was younger and girlier!! And BTW, I wish a fragrance that smelled like bubblegum was launched!! I LOOOVE bubblegum and there's no fragrance that smells like it in the market!!=(

Luckily, I got this as a gift & was able to exchange it. This was just what I expected it to be: tacky like Mariah herself. The purple bottle with the butterfly seemed pretty teeny-bopper. The fragrance was just too soapy, which just isn't for me. Don't be so smug about your fragrance, Mrs. Cannon!

Ugh, Ms. Carey- what were you thinking allowing this product to be licensed under your name??? This scent is truly the epitome of generic, cheap smelling, celebrity fragrances. It smells incredibly sweet, very reiminiscent of a cheaper, more vulgar version of a Britney Spear's fragrance (though even Ms. Spears perfume line puts M to shame!) So disappointing, especially coming from Mariah Carey who so forcefully peddles her "glamorous, diva" image on us. This fragrance is cheap & tacky, just like her clothing!
