My HG hairspray. I've been using hairspray since I was 12 years old, and 20 years later I've finally found a hairspray that will actually hold my style without stickiness or stiffness. Sure, it's a little more expensive than d/s hairsprays, but the quality is so unreal that I feel like I actually don't pay enough! This hairspray is incredible. Just get it, you'll see.

I really like using this when I diffuse my curly hair. I spray it in my hair and it doesn't leave my hair feeling sticky or yucky. It even has a nice smell that is not overpowering and doesn't smell too alcoholy.

I also use it when I style my hair straight. It keeps the fuzzies down and in their place. It also doesn't make my hair feel sticky or yucky.

I have the hugest bottle that I bought in July 2003 and I'm still not finished with it.

Cost:$9.00
Performance: My HG! I use this for curls, updos, and even sleek pony tails!
Cons: None
Why I love this? Fine mist, comb-able, no need to wash hair the next day, durable, keeps it's shape/style.

Okay, gross smell, but amazing product! I can spray an entire can of this all over my long, thick hair and still not end up with a beehive. It's got soft hold (if you want more there's always Shaper Plus), but it retains the hair shape even in wind and rain!

If you are willing to pay for this spray, you will get a good one. It has a very light scent, and holds your hair beautifully without making it helmet-like. I would buy more often but don't feel like doling out the loot anymore.

This is my HG of hairspray and has been for about the last 15 years. It is the ONLY hairspray that gives me hold without weighing down my baby fine, thin hair or making it look stiff and shellacked. I spray my hair lightly, use my fingers to fix any strays, then spray lightly to set. Since this hairspray gives out a super fine mist, the nozzle does tend to get clogged after a while, but if you soak it in hot water it's easy to clean.

This is one of the worst hairsprays I have tried. It made my scalp itch like crazy!!! Will NOT be purchasing this again. I did give it two lipsticks for animal friendliness.

My HG hairspray; incredible but invisible hold. (Only wish they sold this in pump version--but maybe the formula would have to be altered to do that, so I'll be happy with the spray can.) I could not be happier with a hairspray--I will definately repurchase again, and again, and again!

Ten years ago I was shocked that I payed $14 for hairspray. I was using drugstore stuff for a quarter of the price... it took me a while to get the concept that hairspray doesnt have to be crunchy..lol. I love the spray and will not use anything else. It gives a light hold and volume... it is a good styling spray as well. I use it mainly at my roots for a bit of lift. It gives a natural hold for todays natural hairstyles. If you are stuck in an 80s big hair rut, this is not the spray for you.

I wanted to like this hairspray considering all the good reviews but it didn't work for me. First the smell was too overpowering for my sensitive allergies. I think they can do something about that especially since it is possible to buy hairspray with better scents and even unscented. It didn't hold at all. The only thing I could tell was a slight film on my hair but no hold at all. Very disappointing. The only thing that I can say good about it is the aerosol spray. It sprayed out in a fine powerful mist. Too bad it didn't hold because it wasn't that cheap. I will not be buying this again.

Smell like Aunt Germaine, but what a wonderful hair spray!
I have long fine hair and this hold without any stiffness. The only product I buy and rebuy for more than 10 years.

I was very disappointed in this product after spending $12 for a large can, based on reviews I saw here. Although I sprayed and sprayed, it did not hold my fine, short hair until lunchtime. I sprayed it on dry hair after styling, although the instructions say to spray it on before blow-drying. (I air-dry, not blow-dry.) Unlike many, I prefer aerosol, so I like that about it, but the hold is too light. My hair did not get stiff, and the smell was not as offensive as I expected, but not pleasant either.

I usually wear my long, thick Asian hair down and straight, and I love using this when I just need to tame flyaways. However, it doesn't hold at all when my hair is up or in curls - I'm assuming Shaper Plus would be the one to use in those styling situations. I do love that this spray doesn't clump, leave white flakes, and that you can brush right through and start again if you must. My main gripe? The icky smell.

Although I cannot stand the smell, I love the performance of this hairspray on my thick, naturally curly hair. I use it on wet hair right before I diffuse dry for like 10 minutes, and I also use it to secure updos in place. I love the fact that I can brush it out of my hair with my fingers...something very rare in a hairspray with this caliber of hold. Also, I love how the hairspray dispenses like a fine mist rather than a too-strong burst in only one area.

My HG hairspray. I've tried them all, it's the best. Goes on light, yet it holds all day. And a little goes a long way. It takes me months to finish a can.

This is a great, lightweight hairspray with good hold. However, the smell and the aerosol makes me gag sometimes. I always need to clear the room after I use it. The hold though makes me come back to it.

Recommended by my hair stylist and definitely the best I have ever used. I turn on the exhaust fan in the bathroom when I use it as I would choke otherwise. I lucked out and got two for $18 at a Regis salon in the local mall. I just wish Sebastian would make a regular size, although it is available in a purse size.

this product works well. I am not too keen on the smell but it works nice on the hair. it doesn't make your hair hard or sticky. all you need is a small amount. it's also good for thermal styling. A bonus it's not very expensive. approx $16 for a big container

I've had this for a while, and have to say that I just don't like it compared to my myraid other bottles of hairspray. tho this has its place. the smell sucks- why? all my other sprays smell good-to great. This definitley holds hair when I have it styled Up though. and it's not too sticky. I'll give it that. the bottle just feels like it's lasting forever
