Well, found this on sale for 11 bucks and thought I could revisit it again. The edt is quite fragrant with one spray. Almost cloying! But it is a great breezy scent and acts as a nice counterattack against a cloudy day. Sometimes marine scents turn sour easily but not so with this one. Lasting power not terribly good for an edt, but I'll spritz with abandon at this price!

I wore this on and off for years. It has a very unique scent, one can identify it right away. To me, it's a little strong when I first put it on, sometimes it makes me sneeze. That's the only thing I'm unsure about wearing this sometimes. I don't know if it's too strong for other people around. However, after it settles, it's very lovely. Sometimes I would catch a whiff of it while showering. I get bored with perfume quickly so I'm always out buying something new but I have came back to this 3 times already.

I'm sure it's just me, but Acqua di Gio loses all its watery, floral goodness on my skin and winds up just being musky, sort of like bathroom cleaning solutions. Yuck.

I'm late to Acqua di Gio. I just received a sample in a swap, and I'm testing it right now on my wrists. It's very pleasant, floral and feminine, soft and pretty. Even though this type of fragrance isn't the trend anymore (marine/water - but not overly, obnoxiously so in this one, imo), it's such a nice fragrance. Lovely and summery. Sniffing this on my wrist, I want to put on a flowery summer frock and go for a walk on the beach.
update: I like it even more. Yesterday I was smelling something powdery and wonderful, remiscent of some fragrance from my past but I don't know which one, it turned out to be Acqua di Gio on me. The dry down it is very nice, more complex than I would have imagined. I'm so glad I finally got to try it.

I am surprised that this fragrance (EDT) lasts longer than many of my EDPs! It is a beautiful floral with the dominant scent of jasmine mixing with aquatic notes. It can be heady at first if not using a light hand. It is suitable all year round but works its best in the summer IMO. I have to admit though that I like the men's version a lot more. I'm not sure if I will repurchase because I like to explore new stuff on the market. Nevertheless, this is a high quality fragrance that I would highly recommend to any floral fans.

I am on my third bottle of this, and have used it off and on for years. It's a very feminine floral scent, perfect for warm weather but I wear it in the winter too. I find it to be refreshing and uplifting. Can be strong at first, but dries down very nicely.

This was the fragrance I wore when I first met my husband. We were set up on a semi-blind date so I chose this because it made me feel pretty and confident. It didn't matter to me that it was inappropriate for the weather (a nippy 34 degrees) or for my outfit of wooly layers. I didn't have a fragrance wardrobe yet. Things like that seemed very posh and irrelevant to me. I didn't know much about fragrance - I just knew what I loved, and this was it.
I had worn this fragrance for about 3 years (though not exclusively) when I brought it out that night so I knew it well - the nuances, the way it evolved on my skin. It felt safe, yet promising. Even if that date hadn't produced a marriage, I think I'd still look back fondly on it - because of this scent, and the way I felt in it.
Although I haven't worn this in years, reading all the reviews of this much loved scent, I can smell it in my memory.. And though distant for certain, I can still feel the way that I felt that night.

This remains one of my all time favourites. Smells so fresh and 'ocean like'. I love to wear it in summer, especially on really hot days. Smells great on me. I always get compliments when I wear this as this is not overpowering at all, yet very nice. 5 stars all the way.

I love hyacinths and this is mainly what I get out of this fragrance. It is a sweet and long-lasting 'watery floral', but not complex enough for me. In some way, it makes me think of an better version of Anais Anais which I wore in my youth. I wanted so much to love this, but I actually prefer the Men's version (which is sheer genius) on me.

I bought this perfume in 1996, it smells just as alluring and fresh as the first day I put in on. I'll definitely repurchase.

A dazzling, glamerous and seductive fragrance. Fresh aquatic but yet floral, really nice. Lasting power is awesome. Top notes of sweet pea, marine, jasmine and freesia such a sparkling fragrance....

My primary perfume loves hail from the lands of Incensia. Or Gourmandie. I'm not overly familiar with scents from Atlantis, or any other watery kingdoms, as marine/ozone scents bore me pretty quickly.

Despite all that, I love Acqua di Gio's freesia-sweet watery floralness. It reminds me of a Body Shop scent that I wore many years ago: The Spirit of Moonflower. It's pretty and unobtrusive enough for daytime/everyday wear. Decent lasting power.

I first smelled this product in a magazine tester and fell in love with it. So I decided to stop by my nearest fragrance counter to test it. First of all, it's one of the most beautiful fragrances I've ever smelled! I couldn't stop sniffing my wrist for a really long time. I would have purchased it yesterday, but I wanted to see how long the fragrance lasted and what the dry-down would be like. The scent lasted about 6 or 7 hours on me, which isn't as long as I would have liked. However, it's such a lovely fragrance that I'm still planning on buying it. As for the dry-down, it got significantly sweeter and more flowery on me the longer it was on my skin. It definitely didn't turn once it hit my skin, which was obviously a good thing. The only reason why I didn't give this 5 lippies is because it doesn't last half as long as some other high-end fragrances I've tried. However, I definitely want to buy this because it simply smells so lovely.

This is my all-time favorite fragrance. And I'm a perfume-a-holic and do not make these pronouncements lightly. The first time I got clued into this, a coworker was wearing it and she smelled so clean and just awesome. I asked for it for Christmas that year, and have never been without a bottle ever since. The body lotion is a nice addition in gift sets, too. It's very luxurious and smells great, very true to the perfume. The best thing about this fragrance is its lasting power. I've never used any other fragrance (and there have been a lot of others) that continues to reactivate hours later, when washing my hands and rewetting pulse points, or my favorite: when things heat up in bed. I can't imagine anyone who wouldn't like this fragrance, as it is very clean-smelling and simply beautiful. I will be a a loyal purchaser as long as it is on the market!

I fell in love with this fragrance YEARS ago, and am still a fan. It's cool and clean - great for every day wear. It also worked well when I was on a Victoria's Secret Garden kick, as it seems to compliment the "pear" lotion well. I definitely recommend this one.

I've only sampled this, but I love Acqua di Gio. I would buy a bottle for myself but it's rather expensive. I've actually sampled this a couple of times. It's such a good smell, like it smells musky but it's not overpowering, it has the perfect balance. I would definitely recommend this as a perfume. I like the men's version as well.
