For SG$119 this toner, because let's get real this is just a toner with a little alcohol, sucks. After using for a month I noticed nothing. My face feels the same after using witch hazel with costs a fraction of Sukkissei (not a typo).
Ingredients:
Water, alcohol, glycerin, angelica acutiloba root extract, coix lacryma, jobi (job's tears) seed extract, dipotassium glycyrrhizate, hamamelis virginia (witch hazel) extract, melothria heterophylla extract, tocopheryl acetate, tritcum vulgare (wheat) germ oil, citric acid, DI-C12-15 pareth-8 phosphate, ethylhexyl methoxycinnamate, polysorbate 80, sodium citrate, sorbitan sesquioleate, triethylhexanonin, ethylparaben, fragrance.

I find this abit drying at times. It somehow does brighten up my complexion, but i wouldnt say it helps pigmentation. wouldnt use it so often in winter either. I like to mix this with HABA VC lotion and soak it in those compress mask, which makes a great hydrating treatment for dry summer.

I started using this Kose line after a friend of mine from Japan commented on how all her friends and relatives use this line religiously. I must admit there is something about the Japanese consumer culture that just really fascinates me. Anyhow, I don't know why people call this product a toner! According to the written descriptions, as well as the instructions confirmed by the lady at the Kose counter, this is a pre-toner lotion, and you still need to use a toner following this product. Anyways, this is a good whitening product and it balances my skin. I use it together with the Herboist whitening cream, and it really brightens and clears. However, the alcohol content is way too high; although it doesn't sting, the smell is a bit overwhelming. Most importantly, it's way too expensive given that I still have to use a toner!

Okay, I admit I've repurchased this product many times, but it's really not that miraculous. It's a refreshing toner with a cooling effect. But I've noticed no obvious whitening effect after many months' use. Given the high price, I would't give it a 5. It's definitely not MOISTURIZING! I found that after 10 minutes of paper mask soaked with this lotion(as prescribed by the KOSE SA), my skin's all shrivelled up. Prolly due to the high alcohol content.

this is the only product which is able to shrink my pores! i use it both as a toner and as a mask (i soal a paper mask in the lotion) =) if u have visible pores, do give this a try! it also seems to control my slightly oily t-zone as well ;) will buy this again! yay!

This is a very expensive toner, but I just love the cool feeling when I pat this on my face. I don't actually see any effects when I used this as a toner. I also used this as mask twice a week. The lotion mask left my skin luminuous and really soft. Like what other reviewers said, this toner smells really bad, when I used it as a mask, the alcohol stings my eyes. But given the results of soft, luminuous skin, I don't mind the smell at all. Will repurchase.

Don't waste your money on this. I have been using it for 7 months and haven't seen ANY results. I used it on my arms and hoped that it would whiten the skin on my arms. NO USE!!! A big waster of money!

Works well on my skin. It controls my blemish all year long and makes my skin fairer and smooth. Only thing is this lotion smells soo bad and can makes your skin very dry. I only use this at night and will have to put moisturizer straight away otherwise it will dry my skin.

Very expensive, but very pretty packaging. :) After using this for a bit over a week, I can say that I am happy with it. It didn't fade my acne scars much, but maybe brought it down a shade at most. I guess what I'm trying to say is it's not a miracle product, but it's still very good. Like a lot of people here, this broke me out for about 4-5 days, little whiteheads on my chin/jawline, but it seems to have calmed down now. This does *nothing* for me as a mask, I don't see a difference afterwards, but it is working for me as a (very expensive) toner. My skin looks even, and luminous after continued use over a week, it's non-drying for me, and this product smells wonderful. Price:Effect ratio is high, which is why I only gave it a rating of 4. Will repurchase if I'm not squeezed for cash.
Edit: So I'm now on my 2nd 360ml bottle of this stuff. I keep thinking it's way too expensive, but when I ran out and stopped using this product for about a week, I noticed a significant difference in my skin - it didn't look quite as bright and smooth. So I guess I'll continue to repurchase, despite the ridiculously high price.
Edit 2: So I stopped using this stuff for about a half year since I'm a skincare addict and tried a whole host of other stuff... needless to say, I'm back now and onto yet another 360mL bottle of this stuff. I have no idea what ingredient in this makes my skin look *awesome* but until I find an alternative, I think I'll keep using this.

This is a good product for whitening but too expensive to use long-term. Now, I'm just faithful to my Neutrogena Fine Fairness toner because I'm getting better result with overall whitening and hydration.

I love this lotion! I have a acne prone combination skin and this lotion has never break me out. The smell is very pleasant.Though it doesn't do much for me in term of fading my acne scar. It DOES brighten up my skin. Plus my skin get much clearer after using this.

At first, I only used a minimal amount so did not see much whitening effect~~then i tried using a little bit more...then i noticed my cheeks were immediately more radiant and fair..marks r fading more quickly too~~it took away a lot of yellowness from my skin..now my old foundations r too yellow for me~~i use this after toner..and it hydrates my skin well...my face often break out from moisterizers...even oil-free ones..but this one is just right for me as its not really a moisterizer~~i never broke out from this..even when my cheeks were super sensitive at one point~~my make-up goes on well over this too~~i still have approx 2/3 left after 2 months of use..so one 360 ml bottle will last around 6 months...i got this for 80CDN from HK..so this is very cheap compared to whitening masks!!~ =)

In Asia (particularly Taiwan), Kose Medicated Sekkisei is well known as the 'king of whitening products'. Everyone will tell you to try Kose Medicated Sekkisei whenever you asked for the best whitening product. I took the plunge after listening to all the over-hyped raves. This is actually a toner, but best to be used as a mask. Soak the liquid in compressed mask and leave it on face for 15 minutes. Kose actually sells the custom made compressed mask tablets itself. Bought it in Malaysia, toner - RM229 for 360ml, compressed mask - RM21 for 14 tablets.
It smells really baddd!! The high level of alcohol stings my eyes when i use it as a mask. Also, I wanna complain about the custom-made compressed tablets of Kose, namely 'Kose Lotion Mask'. No good, no good. you might be better off buying some brandless compressed mask tablets from Watsons stores. As for the product itself, YES, it brightened my skin instantly. A very effective product. I use it as a daily toner, and as a mask twice a week. It caused break-outs the first time i use it, but never afterall. A true 'whitening' product for the long run. The scent is probably the worst part of it, wonder if they could reduce the alcohol consistency.

This is my HG-I combined it with the cream and my acne scars (a huge bunch of them at the side of my face) faded dramatically. By the way, these were not new scars, they had plagued my face for at least one year before that. I am totally amazed by this product! Just don't get it too near your eyes cos it stings due to the alcohol content. My dry face didn't get any worse with this..so I guess it can suit people with all skin types. My face is a lot clearer 1 month after I have used this.

I bought this lotion to fade my acne scars since it was advertised as a whitening lotion. I found it to be nice and cooling on the skin with a pleasant smell, but it didn't make my acne scars to disappear or even fade. I don't use it anymore, but my husband splashes it on after shaving. He seems to like it, but for $40 it is a pretty expensive aftershave. :-)

I use this lotion as a toner. I tried using it as a mask, but I didn't find that it really did much for my skin that way - nothing noticeable anyway. However it makes a BEAUTIFUL toner. It soothes my skin, and definitely helps to keep my skin hydrated after cleansing. I am using this in conjunction with the Sekkisei cream and it leaves my skin SILKY smooth. Perfectly hyrdrated (not oily) and it helps in preventing breakouts for me - not causing them =) I will continue to use these products for some time I think!

I din find much changes to my skin after using this! Perhaps it could be dat I expected too much from it due to the rants of the salegirl as well as my sister and some reviews!Heard dat the Japanese lurve it! Din cause any skin problems 4 me (luckily) but it was more like a comforting solution to me! It isn't an essential for me so I had discontinued using it!

I iwll forever buy this product. I used 2 big bottles and 1 small bottle. I was thinking to stop buying as it is expensive. for me (a student), but i have bought another big bottle recently to "save" my skin asm y skin is very rough and dry and have many zits on my forehead. It works like miracle again! My skin is no longer dry, no more zits and gives off radiance! So happy. ( But i do not recommend sekkisei emulsion, it is so oily for my combination skin) Edit: recommend the medicated one, as the non-medicated one gives me little bumps on the cheeks area..:(
