This looks just like one of the MAC MSFs on my skin. I applied it all over my face and it gave the prettiest glow. I really want to try the darker one, because this one showed no color on my NC35 skin. Pretty good stuff for $4.99

I happened to stumble across this at Walmart when I was hunting for a lipgloss. The price is fantastic on it, and I really like the packaging, but it makes my neutral PPP skin look sunburned. However, it looks great on my cool-toned PPP sister. I personally won't buy it again, but I'm sure my sister will!

I'm undecided whether or not I'd repurchase this. Out of the 4 Jane shimmer "bronzers" (only Fiji really works as a bronzer), this is the least favorite: it's simply too frosty and too pink. It's a cool, pink color with TONS of shimmer (though the particles are very small, and it doesn't look glittery). It would look beautiful with a PPP skintone...but this seems too cool for my NC30 skin. And the color isn't that unusual--I have several other (less frosty and more wearable) blushes like it. That said, I still love the soft, blendable texture...and the price is a steal.

I knocked off a lippie b/c this product is so frosty. Be warned that you need to use a really light hand when applying this bronzer. With that said, I do like this product when applied lightly. It gives my PPP NW20 skin a nice rosey glow w/a little shimmer. Given the size of the product and the pigmentation, it is a bargain at $5.99. A little goes a long way. I am anxious to try some of these colors in the bronzer as e/s. I think it would also look nice applied w/a brush to the arms neck and check for a subtle glowy color. The packaging is adequate with no real problems. I would definitely purchase this bronzer again when/if I ran out.

Jane's Tahiti bronzer is the same multi-squared format as Clinique's shimmering berries:
1. Both products can be used as either eyeshadow or on cheeks as a bronzer/blush.

2. Both give a rosey, bronzey cheek but the Clinique is more berry toned and the Jane is more pink-brown

3. The frost on the Jane is much more noticeable. If you have large pores in the cheek area beware! Frost, frost, frost.

4. Jane's comes with a brush in a cute bottom compartment, but the product is a little thicker container.

5. Jane's is $5.99 at many places, Cliniques was about $28 and went for up to $50 or more on eBay once stock ran out.

My recommendation is that if you see the Jane and if you don't mind some highlighting frost grab it up. It's a great versatile product for the price, not identical to the Clinique but a really fun product in its own right.

I bought this because it reminded me of the VS Bronzers but cheaper. I like the pink tones to this because a lot of bronzers have too much orange or brown in them. It doesn't show up as well as I would like, but I like the sheen it gives. I use it as a blush because it's really pink. I like how the bottom flips open and has a brush and a mirror. Very worth the $6 I paid.

Like others have mentioned this is more shimmer than actual bronzing. I am a cool PPP and this gives me shimmer - no color. I do love it for eyeshadow though and for $5 I'm glad I tried it. If it actually deposited the color it shows (and had less shimmer) I would be in love with this.

I am a PPP and this looks great on me. I don't normally wear bronzer but the red/pink tones of this make it more like a blush for me. It is shimmery but I find that using the MAC 187 helps disperse some of the shimmer. This is very similar to the Clinique Shimmering Tones in Blushing Bronze not the Shimmering Berries one. I would definitely repurchase, especially because this was only $6.

The packaging for this product was absolutley captivating, as I HAD to have this. I guess I expected something with a little more of a "just stepped out of the sun" glow. As much as I love the way the colors look in the compact, on me they magnify every single wrinkle I'm trying desperately to hide on my 36-year old face. And to make matters worse, the extreme shimmer just really made me look oily. I did find the individual blocks to be fantastic eye shadows with incredible staying power. All was not lost!

I was really excited to try this product since I've been lemming that Clinique black honey shimmering berries shimmering tones mosaic thing. However, I was really disappointed with this product--it did not offer much color, but instead, glittery shimmer. It has nice packaging and if you like high shimmer, you'll be happy with this.

Not really a bronzer, more of a slightly bronzey blush, and incrediably, blindingly shimmery. The shimmer is fairly fine, but not fine enough that it gives a *glow* instead of a shimmer/shine. You can see individual bits of shimmer very easily in bright-ish light. The color is nice but the shimmer is pretty over the top. I could envision using this occasionaly but not on a daily basis, it's just too much shimmer. Besides the color is only so-so.

ME: MAC NC30, Stila 30 watts, Asian skin, black hair, dark brown eyes

PRICE AND PACKAGING: $5.99 at Rite Aid, Round bronze colored plastic compact with clear top, the top flips open to reveal the pretty pink colored checkboard pattern, and the bottom of the compact also flips open to reveal a good size round mirror with a little flat brush.

THE GOOD: So cheap and pretty to look at. I admired this in the store a couple of times before I picked it up. Then I started to hear how good it was and ran back to snatch it up. It's been compared to Clinique's shimmering berries, but at a fraction of the price. I don't use the brush that comes with the product, but I just use a regular blush brush. It shows up on my skin as a subtle pink shimmer. Used alone, it's not enough color as a blush. I use this over my blush and it just adds that extra something. I've gotten tons of compliments when I wear it. People dont know what it is, they just ask me why I'm glowing. Haha love this little gem. I've also used this as a highlighter and eyeshadow.

THE BAD: It's limited edition and haven't been found in stores in awhile.

I haven’t liked anything from Jane for awhile. I mean it’s kind of hard to when it’s being discontinued everywhere I freaking look!!! Anyway, thanks some fantastic swaps and CPs, I was able to get my grubby hands on this. When I swipe my finger across the beautiful bronze mosaic of squares, I end up with a dense, beautifully shimmery (not overly sparkly) rose-bronze color. However whenever I use my blush brush to fluff this stuff on my face, it hardly imparts enough color for me to consider it a “bronzer.” I’m around a NC35 or C4 in MAC (I can never tell!) so I’m not terribly tanned, but really! Nonetheless, I like wearing this stuff as a highlighter with my Flirt Feather Dust Her brush, especially over my matte blushes to give them a very pretty (not so subtle) sheen. It’s a bit over the top, I’ll admit, but the product itself is very smooth and applies evenly so I am fairly satisfied with it. The packaging is awkward, but very useful with the built in bottom mirror and so-so travel brush. I don't know if I like this more than my Bobbi Brown Shimmer Bricks as the strips of color are easier to use separately and they are slightly more pigmented. But it was an awesome deal - especially for the $4.49 price tag!
EDIT 3/17/06: Swapped this bad boy away. I really does rock, but I have sooo many highlighters and I don't think I'll ever get to this one. But if you are looking for an inexpensive highlighter/bronzer - hunt Tahiti down!

These shimmering 'bronzers' (emphasis on the first word--these are very shimmery and the lighter colors are not really bronzey at all so I'd consider them to be more like lightly colored highlighters) are great. I have this one and "Sedona" (a more neutral color, slightly less pearly-white than Wet 'n' Wild's All Over Shimmer). "Tahiti" is a mosaic pressed powder with various tones of rose, pink, and beige, arranged in a little quilt of colored blocks. I lightly swirl a skunk brush over the surface and then blend it on top of my more matte pink blushes--looks great on my LLL/AAB complexion--it's more shimmer than color, but if I layer it on a little, I get more pink. But above all, it gives a beautiful, polished glow to the skin. It does not settle into my pores or highlight them (yikes!) at all.I really like how the colors are distinct, rather than mixed up, so you can pick out individual shades for eyeshadow or whatever. The texture is very good for a drugstore powder, fine and smooth (much better than the pressed powder and eyeshadows in this line) and the shimmer is not garish glitter chunks, but very fine (though I'd advise you to use a light hand or you'll look a bit harsh). It's hard to see individual specks of shimmer--unless you stare at yourself up-close in a magnifying mirror, under bright lights. The packaging is similar to the L'Oreal True Match pressed powders, with a separate compartment for the mirror and included (useless, of course) brush. I have a feeling that these are LE, though I'm not sure, but I'd advise you to pick one before they're gone.

P.S. These do remind me a lot of Bobbi Brown's Shimmerbricks, same sort of shimmer, colors and everything.

ahh this is my new favorite beauty item that i've gotten.i searched a few places to find it,and got the last one at my drug emporium.its a beautiful color, comparable to cliniques le shimmering berries.the brush that comes with it is not that good to use with this,so use your own separate one.it looks gorgeous on my nc25-30 skin :]

I am on the fence about this product. There is a pinkish tone to the bronziness in it, but on me it shows up a little red/almost sun-burned type tint to it. I have to find my softest fluffiest blush to apply this very sparingly. It doesn't really give me the effect of a bronzer, but works well as a shimmery blush. I'm also not very fond of the texture, it's very powdery. The little brush that it comes with is much too stiff to apply this product nicely, so skip it. I tried it but I just ended up looking dirty.

I certainly wouldn't bother with repurchasing, and if this product wasn't any more than 5 bucks, I probably would have just taken it back b/c I really can't see myself using it that much. Maybe I'll like it more in summer...I have a hard time getting into bronzer anything in the middle of winter. I was hoping for a sheerer pinky brown type glow and this just wasn't it. BTW I am LLL, light brown hair, hazel-grey eyes, neutral to warm complextion.

Edit: Okay, I ended up dissecting the darker squares from this. I was desperate to save it for some reason. Much better! I love the two lighter colors in this. The darker squares are where all the "bronze" in this lays and it's more of a red bronze that just doesn't work for me. The two lighter shades give me a great glow which is what I wanted from this product.

I searched for this in four different rite-aids until I finally found it at a bigger one outside of my neighborhood. I applied it this morning with my flirt skunk brush and looked at myself in natural light and it gave me this absolutely gorgeous pinky glow! I'm an NC40, so i was afraid it wouldn't show up, but there was still a sheer hint of color in addition to the lovely glow (from the shimmer). If you're afraid of looking too shimmery - don't worry, this shimmer is very finely milled and soft. I never tried the clinique shimmering berries palette, but this looks very similar to it in color, and much cheaper. Another winner from Jane!

THis is so cute. It gives me s glow due to the shimmer in the product. I go over my bronzer with this and use it as a highlighter. After putting this on I dont even need blush. It was only like 5 bucks and is sheer and gives me a glow. Nice.

This is my first and only bronzer. The only reason I bought it in the first place is that it isn't a boring shade of brown like the majority of bronzers out there. It is pink/berry based which goes great with my pale NW15 skin. It doesn't go on shimmery, but gives my cheeks a nice natural-ish glow. Color looks very natural. Will buy again if I ever run out (but it's so big and I don't use much..so that's doubtful). Also really cheap for about $5.50

EDIT: I also use the different squares as eyeshadow...it's VERY pretty.
