I wore this a few days ago. It hung on me badly. I smelled too much lemon with a plastic note that just went on and on...I believe it could be mint that turns out this way on my skin. Hours later I really liked what was left in the way of an herbish scent. It was no longer so minty and the lemon was gone. It sounds like other women have had great scents develope on their skin with this product. Better try wearing it before buying it.

Minty, refreshing, lasts all day in the heat on me. This is not a complex fragrance on me as it becomes pure mint in five minutes. It smells exactly like spearmint gum.

Although I don't own this fragnance, having smelled it on several occasions at the store, it is definately my favourite Guerlain fragnance from the Aqua Allegoria line. Such a nice fresh, minty scent! Reason I never bought it was because the scent was very familiar and was sure I owned a fragnance similar to it. It's Hermes Un Jardin en Mediterrannée !!! Sniffing the one after the other, I hardly can tell which is which.

If you're into sexy seductive scents, this fragrance would not be for you. If you have an aversion to overly feminine, floral scents, give this one a chance! On myself, it smells minty only for the first few minutes. Then it develops into a lovely deep green scent, reminiscent of a very strong cup of green tea with sprigs of lemons and mint leaves. Absolutely lovely to remind ourselves of a freshly mowed lawn if you live in a place like NYC. (not much grass!) Some say this is perfect for summer.. I think it's quite wonderful during the dreary weathers of winter.

Summer in a bottle. Spearmint and fresh mown lawn. The perfect scent to wear when the mercury goes into the stratosphere, and feels even nicer if you keep the bottle in the 'fridge. Definitely one of Guerlain's finest.

This is the most wonderful fresh, clean fragrance. Minty and citrus with a very light lily drydown. I can spray this on my pillow and sleep very well. My only wish is that it would last a little longer. About 2 hours on me.

I bought this on a whim, and am near the end of the bottle these several months later and love the scent more and more. It's the mirror image of most French "florally with little green" fomulae, since it's mostly all green but with just enough floral and citrus to keep it happy and feminine. I just love it, and people come up to me 2x as often as with my last fave (Cartier So Pretty). A six month rave here, and I've always hated those heavy old Guerlain formulas. Good for them for lightening up!

I didn't like this on the card, but on my skin it smells lovely and fresh. In the description it says it 'is like a barefoot summer's walk in the early morning..'. I can't ever recall walking in a garden that smelt like this, but I guess I've never been to France.

I loved the minty and super fresh top notes, but the dry down smelled a bit too old-fashioned on my skin (and not in a good way but in a sickeningly sweet like my second grade teacher's cheap perfum or those odd floral breath mints). I returned after a week of use. Packaging is lovely.

I was very taken by surprise with this scent. It's a very, very different type of fragrance. When first applied, the mint stands out. Very refreshing and exhilerating. Then, the middle notes-smells like hay or dry grass in the summer, mixed with the mint. The end result is a "dry" green scent (don't know if that makes sense, but reminds me of dry grass or hay). It's classified as a citrus scent, but I must disagree- more green then citrus. Very light and unobtrusive. Easy to wear. Perfect for summer (although spring and fall would be ok). I can't imagine wearing this in the winter. The only reason I gave it 4 lippies is bc of the staying power. Doesn't last as long as it should for the cost. Lasts a lot longer than some of my other citrus/green scents, but wish it lasted longer.

Smells so-so on me, FABULOUS on my mother who has very dry skin...she's gone through 2 bottles. Smells of fresh hot tea with lots of sugar and fresh squeezed lemon...a sprig of spearmint in there too. Very relaxing, yet fresh scent.

Oooooh... I took one smell of this and HAD to buy it! This is quite the most interesting and unique scent I have ever tried. My parents are avid gardeners, and in our garden there was always an abundence of fresh herbs in the garden. This smells EXACTLY like fresh mint. This may seem like an odd ingredient to have in a perfume, but it works so well. It is totally unique, and so fresh and green. I am not even a lover of green scents, I normally go for oriental or florals.
Apart from the mint note, other notes included are a lovely lemon note which adds a little sweetness, and also a slight grassy note (at least to my nose). I would say this is DEFINATELY a fragrance that you MUST try before you buy. It is one of those 'love it or hate it' scents. Fortunately I am loving it! I picked it up online for £12 for a huge 125ml bottle.

I wanted to adore this as I've been waiting so long to try it, and I did at first. A wonderful, long lasting green minty scent that made me feel fresh and clean! However, it really LASTS and after a few hours caused me to twist and jerk as I sat on the widening chasm of a splitting migraine. I tried mixing with Eau D'ete, and it resulted in a beautiful concoction, but after two hours... all HF, and one more migraine. Sigh. But it really is wonderful for the first two hours!

Smells okay but I ask, "Why wear this when there are way better "green" scents out there?"?!? A few of my faves are: Eau Camille by Annick Goutal, Mat le vert by Masaki Matsushima, Nature Absolue by Fragonard (loads cheaper than Herba Fresca and smells better to boot!) and Cielo by Napa Valley Fragrances (not as green as the others, but it was love at first whiff to me...bliss!).

If you want to feel really fresh and clean, this is your scent. For those of us (ahem!) old enough to remember, it smells a lot like "Love's Fresh Lemon" that I adored in the 1970's. To me the lemony notes really stand out more than the mint. I have all the Aqua Allegoria scents. with this and a ltd. edition one "Winter Delice" being my favorites.

Ugh! Herba Fresca was annoyingly minty and "faux-fresh", smelled like breath freshening spray or mints! Irritating stuff.

This is my newest perfume obsession. It's a fresh, minty scent that is lovely for women, men, boys, girls, people who love fragrance and those who do not. This will definately be my scent of choice for the coming summer.

Launched by Guerlain in 1999, Aqua Allegoria Herba is classified as a Chypre. To me is more than that. A refreshingly green fragrance. Not a true chypre but more a green citrus: Composed of Citrus, Clover Leaf, Italian Lemon, Peppermint, Green Tea, Lily of the Valley, Cyclamen, Pear Blossom. This is the happy go lucky cousin who does not take itself too seriously. The Fergie of the Royal Palace. Fun, crisp. Light. Fresh. minty. Herbal but not overly so. A spring stroll. Tuscan skies. Hot summer days with limoncello and great salads. In the same family as MPG Grain De Plisir, Baïmé, Oyedo and Virgilio. Despite Herba Fresca's ephemeral character it is worth the bargain price and repeat appplications.Perfect for spring, summer, for those that can't wear heavy perfume to work, for man, woman, felines. :-) Great in combination with Jo Malone Lime Basil Mandarin, and any of the above mentioned scents. Fans of Guerlain Imperial, Eau De Campagne, Eau De Fleurs De Cedrat or Eau D'Orange Vert might enjoy this. I know I do.

Herba Fresca is a clean and fresh fragrance. The top note is very "grassy," which I happen to like, and then dries down to a faintly minty green tea and fresh flowery scent. My DH loves it which is great b/c he's very picky (he does not care for my beloved Fracas!). Here is the description from Guerlain: "Herba Fresca is like a barefoot summer's walk in the early morning, in a dew-damped garden where the first fragrances of grass rise from the soil, blending with the scent of mint, friut trees and wild flowers." Head note: fresh herbal notes, lemon; Heart note: green tea, spearamint; Base note: cyclamen, lily of the valley. Described as being "fresh, vitalizing, radiant, and anti-stress." I really like this fragrance!

I hate this spicy smell. It just doesn't smell like something I would want on me.
