I LOVE this stuff!! I've used this for about 17 years. I love how it takes very little to build your lashes. I love how it isnt as flakey as some other MUCH MORE expensive mascaras (diorshow..) and how it keeps your lashes soft. I guess thats because Sephora owns Loreal huh?...Well, I hope they keep makin this mascara forever--cuz I'll keep coming back for more :D

I expected this mascara to be so much better. It didn't give much volume or length so I had to go back over it with my CoverGirl mascara. I also noticed flaking throughout the day and smudges under my eyes. The brush is terrible as well - it doesn't separate lashes at all and is big and bulky.

I tried this many, many years ago while I was playing with my mum's make up but I wasn't an avid make up purchaser then so I think it is only fair to say I haven't tried this before.

I am a beauty-holic. I watch youtube videos and am constantly shopping or browsing through make up and somehow this mascara was always everyone's holy grail mascara. I decided to give it a shot since I was on the market for a new tube of mascara. For the life of me, I cannot figure out whey anyone would swear by this product. Let me paint a picture for you from outside to inside. The packaging is average, quite large if I might add. The brush is a nice size but the product clumps to it and isn't an even application. The product is too wet and takes FOREVER to dry. God forbid you apply the mascara and sneeze or yawn (Hello, raccoon eyes!). I am a firm believe in using up my products before purchasing a new one but I am on the verge of just trashing it and moving to another brand!

I LOVE mascaras, I'm obsessed with them. I want to try them all, I constantly have to control myself at the store to not buy more when I have some still to use up. So of course the night I bought this I wanted to try it on immediately. The result, I HATED it. I would apply one coat and that was not enough then I put on a second coat and it just clumped like crazy. I tried this three times with different methods, but I hated all the outcomes. I finally gave up for the night. The next morning I tried it out and it worked beautifully. I applied two coasts and it added both length and thickness to my lashes with a very dark pigment. I loved it. I think this particular mascara needs to dry out a bit, so if you hate it when you get it let it thicken up a bit. I thought mine was fine overnight, but you might like it even thicker than that. So that is why I would give this mascara a four and not a five because it just continues to get a bit better over time as opposed to being great out of the package.

I have long, straight eye lashes. I've heard so many good things about this mascara, so when I finally got it I was expecting a lot. This stuff didn't hold a curl and it was so clumpy. I can see how it can work for people with different eye lashes but it was not for me.

This was gloopy and made my lashes stick together. Even after having it open for 2 months with daily use. It just wouldn't dry out and improve. And I tried this every which way. Light application, heavy application, wiping the brush off first, not wiping the brush off first... I give up. I gave it an extra lippie for being nice and black and not flaking. But it seems like there's something off with the amount of product in the tube, the wiping mechanism in the tube, the design of the brush, or all the above. Just could not get this to work without my lashes clumping together.

I have been using this mascara since I was 18. I love the results it gives me . It gives you a lot of volume and loreal mascaras are never dry like others. Every now and then I do try other mascaras but I keep coming back to this one . I use the loreal voluminous carbon black now. I also tried Lancôme mascara because its the sister company of loreal but ill stick to my voluminous better.

This hands down is my HG mascara. I've been using this product for over 3 years and find myself always coming back to it. I personally prefer the "Original" to the "Carbon Black" as the original is slightly drier and keeps my curl all day long. Great to use as an everyday mascara or layer it on to really make your lashes dramatic!

Overall, great formulation and great wand for a fraction of the cost you find with designer mascaras.

I find myself coming back to this mascara time after time; after new mascaras have intrigued me only to let me down and waste my money. This mascara has a great wand and gives lashes awesome volume while still looking soft and separated instead of clumpy.

This is my old standby. Whenever I get bored with the latest trend, I go back to this product. The wand grabs my lashes just right and the formula coats them perfectly without clumps. My lashes look long , thick and pretty without that Kardashian spiderlash look.

Very pigmented super black mascara! Definitely not for length but for volume and thickness it's wonderful. Doesn't flake on me, but then again I use it on top of L'Oreal Telescopic as the latter only gives length. I don't think that using one mascara gives length AND volume, so I've always combined a few. I wish we had the waterproof formulation in the UK.

Definitely one of my favorite mascaras. The brush gets every lash and the formula really plumps them up. Very rarely does it clump, the only times I experienced clumping was when I was overapplying for the sake of seeing how many coats I could do. I found that 2 coats is the best. It lasted all day (I put makeup on at 6 am, don't take it off until 8 pm) and didn't flake one bit.

I absolutely LOVE this mascara. I was worried at first because I thought it would go on clumpy and unnatural looking but honestly ... my lashes had never looked better ! It was smooth, light, flake-free... the list goes on! This is definitely one of my all-time favourite mascaras. The inside U was for length and the outside was for volume which I really liked. It is definitely must-have and a must-try! Anyone who hasn't purchased it is missing out, BIG time :)

If I want big lashes, this is what I go for. I already have long eyelashes but they are fairly thin. When I sweep this across my lashes it's like VA-VOOM! stand out lashes. However, the formula is a little bit too wet. I find it best to put coats of this as thin as possible and just build it up as it dries.

nothing good to say about this mascara is too wet and makes lashes sticks together but the worst part is that after a few hours it starts kind of falling off and i always end up with dark circles under eyes. maybelline falsies and covergirl lashblast are better.

I have tried my fair share of high end mascaras (i.e. Dior Show), and this works as good as any of them. Among other drug store mascarsas, this is the best that I've used. My lashes markedly longer, darker, and fuller. Little to no clumping. Recommended.

This mascara is best for volume and some length, but this is not a mascara for a natural look. It clumps a bit, and sticks lashes together for a very dramatic look. I personally like my lashes long, very black and defined and this mascara does not separate the lashes enough for my tastes.

If you like the look of very dramatic, "spider" lashes...this is good for you, though!
If you like more separation to your eyelashes, I would say try something else.
