Well, Revlon has got me again. I went out of my way and bought this foundation, listening to the great reveiws. (Girls: It is not discontinued!) I am sad to discover that this makeup does nothing for me. I read that it does cover blemishes...wrong. It's too natural for me. I have dark spots and this covers nothing. I told myself not to trust Revlon...but I got sunk in by the good reviews. On Saturday I will go back and try ColorStay...Not Natural:) Thanks anyway for the tips!

I was always a concealer, blush girl. Never could be bothered to spare 10 minutes for foundation. A week before christmas, I decided to try out foundation. I am SO happy I found Revlon's Colorstay! Initially, I was worried I would break out as I have very oily skin. It covered every blemish seamlessly. The perfect foundation.

Of course I discover this just as they're discontinuing it with some crap no doubt! (Based on reviews). I was afraid that the titanium dioxide and zinc oxide in this would break me out, but so far it hasn't. It gives good coverage to my oily skin and although it does have shimmer in it, I never notice it on my skin. I decided to try this because foundation over sunscreen was making me too shiny, and this foundation nicely gets rid of one step. Damn Revlon for getting rid of a good thing!

Oh please don't say discontinued! I tried this foundation as an alternative to my Almay Skin Stays Clean, which tended to fade or slip a bit sooner than I would have liked. The color matches my somewhat interesting-to-match skin well and blends in easily. I have noticed that it seems to take a moment or two to 'set' to the actual shade. It's very hard to explain, but it always takes just a second before it actually blends into my skin. I haven't had any trouble with fading through the day, nor with it changing colors on me. It also doesn't seem to rub off easily, unless I start sweating. I also don't seem to get breakouts from this foundation. It did feel a bit odd when I first started using it, almost like a cool gel instead of a liquid. However, the feeling went away quickly when it set, and now I don't even notice it anymore.

i hate this stuff, slides off my face in an hour even with powder to set it. and just like everything else, even ivory was too dark on me.

i LOVE this product!!! after hearing about its being discontinued... i saw it on sale and gave it a try. by using the nice color finder search on revlon.com, i found the right shade (sand beige and medium beige mixed together). This foundation gives me everything and more! i'm pretty impressed considering this is my first try at a d/s foundation. i've been spending $$$ on stuff like LM, Dior, MAC, etc and they dont compare to CSN! This product stays on the skin and i only have to blot 1 time during the day, its natural looking, and just overall a fabulous product! i'm sad theyre discontinuing the product but i have stocked up well! the last chance prices helped too. i'm going to give their new Colorstay fdnt a try but i heard its not so good. =( but for the time being... at least i'm saving money for better things! UPDATE: 8/17/06 I've switched to DHC liquid foundation. Its a bit more translucent since my skin has cleared up a little more. Good replacement for my discontiuned CSN! =) the new formula was just not for me.

I love this foundation (it's now my favorite) but they are discontinuing it! I heard they are replacing it with something similar, though, but it's too bad I found such a great foundation now that they are not gonna have it anymore!

I have tried MANY foundations for my 34 year old, somewhat acne-scarred oily skin. This one is a definite holy grail! It goes on smooth and even, dries to a wonderful finish that never looks cakey or obvious. It's coverage is good, however if I have pimples I may need to dab alittle extra on those areas. It does not seem to cause breakouts. My skin always starts looking abit oily on the forehead at some point in the day but this foundation delays that process MUCH better than the others I've tried. My skin is blotchy and uneven and this stuff ends that problem. It lasts much longer than foundations I've used in the past and it cost about $10. I will definitely be sticking with this one until it discontinues (hopefully THAT will never happen!)
UPDATE: went to Wally World (Wal-mart) today. they had some left however there were stickers on them all saying "last chance for this item". so looks like Revlon's closing out this one- BUMMER!!!!

I can't believe Stay Natural is being discontinued as it's my absolute HG foundation. I can wear it year round. The transfer-resistant formula as well as the sheer yellow-based shades (Buff for me) take me through summer into winter. Sometimes if I want more coverage or if I need a lighter/darker shade I mix with a little Stay Natural concealer, also an HG for me. I've never found such a great, versatile, and fool-proof foundation as this--sheer, matte, SPF 15, fragrance-free, beautiful yellow-based shades. The only thing I don't love is how hard it is to remove. I have to use a separate MU remover and go over my entire face with both sides of a saturated cotton pad and sometimes a second pad.

I would buy this product again because it's the best foundation I've ever used....but they ARE discontinuing it (waaaaa! Why do they always do this!!!!???). When I saw a review below that said that, I emailed the Revlon site. Here's what they said:
"We have received your recent comments from the Revlon website and wish to thank you for your interest in our products.
Sometimes, because of fashion trends and limited consumer demand, it becomes necessary to discontinue an otherwise excellent product. Unfortunately, ColorStay Stay Natural Makeup is no longer being manufactured and our inventory of this product has been depleted.
We understand and regret that the exclusion of favorite products may sometimes leave consumers in a dilemma. Our company has a wide variety of products and shades. We would suggest that you visit your favorite store and view our product displays to see if another item in the line will suit your needs. May we suggest you try ColorStay with SoftFlex Normal/Dry Formula in your same shade. This product should be available at your local retailer."

I've been wearing this for about 2 weeks now (maybe more) and I'm in love. It makes me look like i have this perfect skin, w/o the masklike thing other foundations give me. I got this %50 off and had a $3.50 coupon, so i got it for, like, $3, which, considering this is a 10-13 dollar foundation, is pretty good. : D I got the 2nd lightest shade; Buff. It matches me PERFECTLY and I don't think I'll ever switch foundations. It doesnt leave me oily, doesnt break me out, and wow. This, paired w/ my bobbi brown concealer kit= perfect skin. <33333

This is surprisingly good stuff for a ds brand.... It gives great coverage and really does stay on all day.... controls mild oil breakthrough as well.... only thing is that it can be a little sticky upon application but it dries to a matte finish.... no breakouts, either... overall great stuff, makes the skin look almost flawless.... would purchase again, but i just heard that it is being discontinued.... too bad!

Seriously, I love this foundation. Its perfect! I have tried many foundations...high end, low end, mid end whatever. This one is always in rotation and looks great. Its only drawback is that if you can't wear buff and you have yellowish skin, the other colors are orangish or pink. Luckily I wear buff. Anyhoo, it has a pump bottle (excellent), its often on sale but most of all it has great coverage and lasts most of the day. I don't know why I keep trying new foundations when this one is the best!

I am just getting into my first bottle (Buff) after having used up a bottle of Cover Girl Outlast (which comes with a primer). Although this is a probably better shade match, I'm actually liking the Cover Girl a bit better. That product stays true longer on me and offers me lighter, more natural-looking coverage. Not that this is a bad product--not at all. It's actually pretty good, but just a bit too velvety for my taste. It also seems to "grab" my loose powder a bit more, adding to the velvety effect.

I don't know why I strayed from this. Definetly my HG foundation. This is truly the only foundation that matches my yellow undertones and doesn't make me look pasty. The coverage is excellent. I love the pump because it doesn't get the foundation everywhere. The staying power is better than everything else that I have tried. Overall a wonderful foundation.

I have been using this in the shade Medium Beige for about a week and I am SO impressed. I chose it based on MUA reviews and so far have not been disappointed, thanks guys! The colour matches my tan skin perfectly and there are plenty of shades to choose from. Looks great in photos too (I model part-time). Consistency is velvety smooth on the skin and looks SO natural, not too sheer, just makes me look perfect, I haven't had any pimples or greasy patches yet either. My only gripe is once you've done the main part of your face and you just need a little to blend with the pump dispenses too much product as you can't really control the amount, leading to wasted product. Aside from that I think I'm in love!!

I bought this in the lightest shade, Ivory (01), after reading many rave reviews. I really liked the sleek packaging and the pump (it looks like it could have been bought from a dept. store), but the product just isn't for me.
I was happy that it contains sunscreen, which is a must. However, I find that it's packed with possibly irritating ingredients: what the heck is alumina? When I looked it up, it said that alumina is "used in aluminum production and in abrasives, refractories, ceramics, and electrical insulation." I hope that's not the same ingredient used in this, because that sure doesn't sound healthy! I was also a bit shocked to see that it contains somewhat of a sparkle, which is bad as that can settle into pores or irritate. It looks way too shiny when I apply it, as I immediately reach for some powder to mattify my face. I have oily/combo skin, so I don't like looking dewy. This might be a good product for those with very dry skin, as it does feel fairly moisturizing.
It dries quickly and evenly, and resembles more of a tinted moisturizer to me. It's a good primer for powder foundation, and it does stay put all day like it promises, but it looked obvious on me because of the pink-red tones (and the yellower shade, Buff, is a bit too dark). All in all, I think my skin is much too sensitive for this. So I am going to pass on it.

This product is not any more "natural" looking than regular colorstay, and in fact it is much greasier, which is a very unnatural look. I had a hard time finding a color match, as all the shades have an orange-ish tint to them. This product caused me to break out, and even after giving my skin two weeks to adjust, the breakouts continued. This make-up turns my face into an oil slick within an hour of application, and slides into my laugh lines by the end of the day. The pump dispenses too much product no matter how lightly you press on it. I would never use this again.

I always have a bottle of Revlon colorstay stay natural makeup in Tan in my makeup arsenal. I find that it has the ideal consistency and lasting power for me, but only in the summer and spring months. It dries out my skin in the winter if my face is not adquately moisturised prior to the appication of foundation. So I prefer wearing TMs in winter. I realise that this is not what girls do, they prefer to wear TMs in summer months. But my skin looks better this way. For the rpice, which is around 10$, I would say this is a pretty good buy and they have a wide array of shades suitable for a lot of skin tones.
