I don't know what it is about this color, but a little wash over the inner corners of the lids makes you look awake and alive...even if you really aren't awake! It's magic!

When I first went to the M A C counter I was shown the basic look and decided I would never be without this color. I am and will forever be in love with the texture and sheen of this shade. I use it all over for days when I need to look awake and as a highlighter when I do a full eye.

I love this. PPPs can do a wash over the whole eye, and it looks totally natural and awesome and not like makeup at all. Well done.

This is the perfect highlighter ! i use this on my brow bone, the inner corners of my eyes, and occasionally my cheekbones. I have very pale skin and this compliments so nicely!

This is, hands-down, my HG highlighter! I love it on my brow bone and in the inner corners of my eyes. It's a stunning champagne beige - neutral but shimmery. I'm having an ongoing love affair with MAC satin shadows and this is no exception - it applies beautifully and blends perfectly with other colours. Though it's light in colour, Shroom is very pigmented and not chalky. I've been keeping Shroom in my collection for over a decade so, suffice to say, this is a solid repurchase for me!

I first started to look for this shade as a highlight after watching Amarixe's eyeshadow tutorials. I know she uses Dazzlelight, but I felt like that shade had a little too much pink reflects for my liking. After I returned my Naked Palette, I realized that the lightest shade in the palette was really the only eyeshadow I was really using out of it, so that was another reason I bought this too. It's almost an exact dupe! Shroom is a great addition to my MAC eyeshadow palette.

Well, i must admit that it can be is a usefull colour, blends well and it's not glittery or anything, but i use it only when i feel my favourite highlighter shade - jest - isn't that appropriate for the combination. I don't regret bying this but it's nothing exciting and can be easily duped...

I'm very pale and shroom looks like my skin color with a slight shimmer to it. It's a nude/chapagne shade. I bought it because my nieces who are half hispanic and I wanted a good brow highlighter to use on them. I do their makeup almost every single weekend and a lot of my highlighters show up too white and too frosty on them. This is the perfect shade for people with deeper skintones. I love this color. It's soft and pretty. You can use it as a brow highlighter, to brighten up the inner corners of the eye, even on the tops of the cheekbones. It's definitely a good staple color for any colleciton.

when I first saw this eyeshadow I felt medium about it. It seemed so blah. i use it as a highlighter shadow or to tone down too-dark shadows or brighten too-matte shadows. shroom has many used, almost daily uses, but still im not in love.
maybe my expectations are too high, i dont know. i like this shadow and use it a lot which is why i gave it 4 lippies but im still on the lookout for that one perfect highlight color.

Ultra fair neutral/cool ashy skin, blue eyes, dark brown hair.

I don't know, really. Well, I guess it's an awesome highlighter for those with darker skin than me, but this is basically the same shade as my skin or just a tad darker. So the only thing showing up for me is the shimmer, which have a bit too large particles I think. However, this works well as a cheek highlight or a really neutral brow/inner eye highlighter. But I've definitely got other shades that works better for eye stuff, and more finely milled ones for cheeks.

So yeah, it's not worth the hype to me, but it definitely isn't bad.

I got this as a B2M item. I've wanted this shade for years but never got around to buying it. I finally got it and have been using it constantly for a highlight and in my inner corners. Its not frosty which I like.

Idk why but this just isn't very impressive to me. Maybe the last poster was right and I'm just not the right skin tone. Thank god I got it in a pallet of 6 and this one is the only one I don't like.

Great starter browbone or lid color - I agree with the previous reviewer's description that this is a wonderful oyster shade. I've had this in my kit for years, and while I don't reach for it as often as I do Ricepaper as a browbone color, I like having it around. It suits a multitude of skintones and can even be used as a highlighter on the cheeks.

A very useful oyster coloured shimmer eyeshadow. I use all over lid with Satin Taupe defining crease and eyeline. It's a perfect polished professional look. Also goes with countless other colours.

I'm disappointed with this one. I purchased Shroom because of all the rave reviews here and on youtube. Apparently my skin is too fair because I can barely see anything on my lid. It doesn't work as a highlight color AT ALL. I'm seriously thinking of returning it.

One of MAC's best shades, in my opinion. I use this nearly every day as a base colour. It's absolutely beautiful underneath Satin Taupe or Shale.
This colour has a nice shimmer to it - just enough to make your lids glow!

Will buy again and again
