I love this toner. I have used many types of toners and most of them end up burning and irritating my skin. This one can sting a little tiny bit but overall I find that it is gentle in comparison to other astringents/toners. It has a fresh cucumber smell which I really like and it isn't overly expensive for what it is. I use this with other acne problems and I have not had ay problems with my skin becoming dry or irritated. (Then agin, I have oily skin so I've never had dry skin problems to begin with.)
My only complaint about this product is the cap. It kind of has a squeeze bottle cap sort of like a cleanser and when I pour the product on to a cotton pad, it tends to give too much product and it can be a little bit wasteful.
Other than that I think this is an excellent product and I would recommend to anyone that does not have a tendency to have dry or sensitive skin.

Dried the heck out of my skin. Not impressed at all. Eventually caused itchy rashes on my face because it was so drying.
Gets a 1 lippie because it smells good, but that's it.

I have dry, extremely sensitive and acne prone skin. I am even allergic to cetaphil.
This toner keeps my skin clear, it is not drying like most toners and leaves my face very soft and smooth. My favourite toner by far. I think this is the best product out of their whole Acne stress control line. I tried the scrub and the spot treatment, and they simply cant compare to this!

I use this poduct now . it does not get rid of acne but it does speed up the process of whatever acne medcation you are using at the moment .. also it does not make skin oiler or too dry it just cleans off all the dirt so acne prone people do not worry it is ok to use ..

Well I just bought this today...mostly because:
All the toners had like 10 in their row
This one had 3...
so i figured, yeah might as well...
and yes it DOES burn,...but After I use a moisterizer i don't feel a thing...
as for all the complaints about fragrance, it just smells kinda normal. Nothing noticeable. I've only used it once so far but I think it's working,...
I swear my face is smoother n_n

This is a great toner. I used to use the Clean & Clear toners, but then they stopped working for me, so I used this one. This cleans my face after washing it, leaving it feel fresh and good! I do moisturize after using this or else it will dry my skin. It has a good scent and it doesn't sting on my face.

This really is a great toner! Clears my pores out, removes any leftover makeup, and it smells really good. I only breakout during stressful times(which is everyday lately lol) and this really has helped me.:)

I've been using this product for a couple years now and I still do love it! It tones my skin after cleaning/washing with my face wash and makes it feel fresh and squeaky-clean. It's a salicyd-acid toner, so it's also good to prevent pimples of any kind. It controls my oil well, at least for around 6 hours or so. I have the feeling it keeps my skin clean. And that's the most important thing to me. It takes off all the makeup leftovers at night (what my cleanser left behind) and in the morning it freshens my skin.
I was never let down by Neutrogena products in general, though I haven't tried them all and this is definitely one of my faves and will be.

Works well for me. Picks up a good amount of dirt but as with any astringent it leaves the skin sticky IMO & I always rinse with water after. I just feel so much better than leaving a drying product on my skin. This smells soooo much better than any other astringent I've tried. I may buy again until I can't find an at home (green) astringent that I like more.
*I use it on my T-zone & back. I rinse my face after using it.

I love this toner. I use it with the Acne Stress Control Scrub, and it's working really well. It cleans up excess dirt and absorbs oil, and it's really helping with my acne. I really love this line, but I think I might try Neutrogena's new redness soothing line because I still have some redness, rough texture, and some blackheads (but significantly less than before).

It does a good job in picking up the dirt but it leaves a shiny and greasy film. It feels more like a makeup remover. It has too much fragrance in it.

I was hoping to use this with the rest of the product line to help with my acne and I think it made my skin worse! If you're using this by itself without any other acne medication, this could be a good toner. However, if you're using this in conjunction with other acne products, this will make your skin sting and over dry it to the point that is strips all of your essentials oils from your skin. In turn, this product made me break out MORE! No thanks!

Actually made my pores smaller and got rid of any dirt, but left my face shiney and red. Overall pretty good product, but would not recomend for sensitive skin

This is actually a really good toner! When i first used it, it actually made my face really red (mostly my nose and cheeks) but after, it was fine. The only bad part is that it makes my nose and sometimes my forehead shiny, so i just use it at night. It also reduced the redness in my nose and cheeks. I use this with the cream wash and they've both done wonders for my skin!

Pros:
- Pretty cheap (around 7 dollars US) and easy to find anywhere (target, drugstores, supermarkets, etc)
- Great scent, almost cucumber-y
- Packaging is nice- love the color of the toner, makes me feel like it's "clean" haha
- Doesn't break me out (sensitive skin) or drying (I have oily skin); doesn't feel harsh and I can use it all over my face. Prior to this toner, I used Clean and Clear's Deep Cleaning Astrigent (red/orange) and that stuff was STRONG. Like, my eyes would water just smelling it from afar! I would only use that to spot treat and it would sting my blemishes like mad. It worked fairly well, but I figured I could do better. Neutrogena's is much more gentle and works just as well, if not better
- It WORKS. On whiteheads (broken and non-broken, gross I know, sorry) and even large one's I feel under the surface (the kind that kinda hurts and is a bit sore if you press down on the surface skin?). I swipe it once or twice a day (morning and/or night) and it never surfaces and goes away after a day or two. I wipe it around my nose area as well (very oily) and while I don't think it eliminates shine altogether, I think it does help a little bit, at least.
Cons:
- I'm not sure about their claim of 'will prevent future acne from cropping up' and about eliminating shine.
All in all, it is reliable and works well with my skin. Acne goes away very quickly and gently. It's inexpensive and easy to find. I will repurchase again, definitely.

This dried my skin out horribly and didn't prevent acne or really get all the excess oil and gunk out of my pores at all. Not worth getting.

If you have normal acne, which means a spot here or there. It works. There are skin conditions which resemble acne, but they are not and so regular medicine won't help that. Moderate to severe acne really cannot be helped without a Dr.'s prescription. It does prevent it for me, and I use the 3 in 1 treatment too. This is great because it doesn't dry my skin and gets rid of oil while calming skin redness. Cystic acne... the only thing you can do is wait it out. Those never pop out, they just sit there under the skin until you get a shot for them or they go down in size over some months. This is a good toner and it smells nice.
